Hey there, Wangan Midnight Expressway. Unfortunately, the server which used to host all of our site's multimedia has been taken down due to violating the ToS for Time Warner Cable's RoadRunner residential service. I figured that this was just a matter of time, since one is not allowed to host a server of this magnitude on a residential connection.

At the moment, E86 is looking for another host for our OST database, but in the mean time, I have uploaded the soundtracks to SendSpace. Here are the links.

This announcement is to bring your attention to the latest album Wangan Midnight Original Soundtracks II. It's currently listed in the Soundtracks section. The album is ripped at 320kbps 44kHz HQ mp3 and ripped by Nomake Wan. All credits go to him for providing this album to the WME community. Also, the album Spontaneous has been uploaded. Greeting WME members!

Nomake Wan here, and I'm pleased to announce that Wangan Midnight Expressway is the first site to post news on forthcoming releases of the Wangan Midnight Anime! Contrary to what Wikipedia used to say, the Anime is far from cancelled--the next two episodes (15-16) air on March 21st. However, the TV air dates aren't the important topic today.

Amazon.co.jp, the Japanese version of Amazon.com, has gone ahead of everyone else and posted up the release dates for all Wangan Midnight DVDs. Thanks to this, I can now provide everyone with not only when the DVDs will come out, but how many episodes the Anime will have total. The information is as follows:

DVD Volume 7 (13-14): April 23rd, 2008
DVD Volume 8 (15-16): May 23rd, 2008
DVD Volume 9 (17-18): June 25th, 2008
DVD Volume 10 (19-20): July 25th, 2008
DVD Volume 11 (21-22): August 22nd, 2008
DVD Volume 12 (23-24): September 26th, 2008
DVD Volume 13 (25-26): October 24th, 2008

So as you can see, the series is going to span an entire season at 26 episodes. After those 26 episodes are over, you can bet that O.B. Planning will announce what it plans to do next. Could we see a second season of Wangan Midnight? Or will there be an Initial D project in the works? Or maybe something different, perhaps an Anime adaptation for some other racing manga? We're bound to find out by the end of the year!

By the way, for those who weren't aware, the second soundtrack for the Wangan Midnight Anime, which features the insert song from episode 4 titled "Get a Wave" is released tomorrow (03/05/08) in Japan! I am happy to tell you that the server migration was successful and went smoothly. WMExpressway is now hosted and owned by go2id.net. The Moderating Team has completely revamped as you can see. I will take the liberty to welcome all these new members to the team. Nomake Wan, will be working alongside with me, as Administrator. ac101, xeoreg, and The J will be governing the Wangan Midnight sections while Midnight Star will be patrolling mostly in the General section and Feedback section. Please give them a warm welcome to the Moderating Team if you see them around.

The style in administrating these forums will be more easy-going compare to the previous Management. We feel that this will encourage more productive discussions. However, please do not see this as an opportunity to spam the forums. If someone is violating the rules, please by all means, report that person. Your identity will remain anonymous and we take these user reports really seriously.

With that said, I want to bring your attention to an album called Spontaneous by Mother Ninja. It's currently listed in the Soundtracks section. However, we only have the fourth track in the album. We will be moving the forums from the current host to another host on this coming Saturday night, Pacific Time. There will be DNS change involved.
