> Wangan Maxi 5...This Early?, Namco's Decision?

What's Namco's decision regarding WMMT4 once WMMT5 releases internationally? (Assumption)
Skipping the last 2 Online Champion Matches and Local Arcade Challenges altogether. [ 2 ]  [18.18%]
Holding the last 2 OCMs back to back and skip the Local Arcade Challenges prior to WMMT5 release. [ 2 ]  [18.18%]
Holding the last 2 OCMs back to back and the Local Arcade Challenges in between the OCMs. [ 7 ]  [63.64%]

According the info that I recently got from CYC (Malaysia's main arcade company), they said that Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 5 will be released this October, which is surprising considering Namco haven't announced about the game's release nor pointing on the last 2 Online Champion Matches they still have to deal with to be same with Japan, not to mention they still are early in implementing the Local Arcade Challenges.

Now, assuming that Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 5 confirmed to be released next month (still in the dark on the info), since there supposed to be 2 more OCMs left to follow Japan and with Local Arcade Challenges still in early stage, I can see 3 situations:
1. Namco will skip the last 2 OCMs and Local Arcade Challenges prior to WMMT5 release.
2. Namco will subsequently hold the last 2 OCMs in between one another, probably one week gap between each other between now and October and forget about the LACs.
3. Same with situation 2 but they will hold the LACs simulateniously with the OCMs.

Thoughts?

Voted for the third option.

WMMT5 isn't coming here anytime soon. So I guess they should still have time to hold the other two OCMs and the other LACs.

If they are getting WMMT5 this early - expect this:

It's an exported Japanese cabinet with the JP OS / Codec linked to the JP network/server. Don't expect to be able to transfer your cards / passport data anytime soon if that's the case.

Until we actually get facts about MT5 International...

We've said it once, we'll say it again:

Yes a Location Test in Hong Kong. IIRC the last time they did a location test for MT4 it still took them 3-5 months to release the game. Though this time could be quicker since the cabs are already there and all they need to do is swap out boards / hdds.

i think maxi 5 is only an update. It will not take 3-5 month to set up an update. but it may take a whole day for the cabs to be updated to maxi 5 depending on their net's dl speed.
