http://tomitaku.com/index.html

office tomitaku has some info about the engine in question, not exactly the same engine, but it's a tune L series one... should serve as inspiration

Here are couple of screenshots from the first(?) movie. They're quite crappy quality, but I hope that these help you. Atleast it should be the right kind of engine.

You mean a triple Mikuni, twin HKS, custom plenum setup? No, I don't have one. The fact is that TT setups on US Zs are notoriously hard to setup because of the steering shaft running right through where the other turbo goes. BTW that is Austin's blue Z his is fuel injected and very similar to mine it is not a "Devil Z" clone. The whole thing about the Devil Z is kind of hokey to me anyway, V8 Z's will outrun a triple setup any day of the week and their cheaper too. And yes the Devil Z has a full rollcage minus door bars.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's a 4-point cage.

I think in the movie it's only a 4-point which is just a roll bar but in the anime it is a full cage with a halo and everything, don't know about the manga though.

There is a local junkyard here that has an old 280zx with the l28 engine in it. Here in Maine the Z cars are a lot harder to find. I put the engine on hold, in case I find a 240z to drop it into... It's got a lot of miles on it, but after a nice rebuild it will be good as new.
