|I think there's something wrong with the 1st and 3rd link. My browser says that the page is not responding, but the 2nd page works though. I think it's just me. Niice decals BTW.|

| Hehehe....I just bought a Slim PS2 today and I plan on buying a swap-disc and Wangan Midnight off Ebay to keep me over until WM3 comes out in July 26th (I know, I should of waited but I've been waiting for 6 months now and I really need to get my WM/tekken fix without going to the arcade). So considering its 2 weeks until payday and another week for shipping etc I should have it by June 10'ish.
Soo...the question is how is WM like compared to arcade?
|Posted by: AsakuraZ May 18 2007, 06:49 AM|
| The WM for the PS2 is exactly like the ORIGINAL WM arcade game. Do not get this confused for WMMT.
The benefits of the PS2 version is that it has a storyline mode and some variations of cars from the series.(ie glowing aura DevilZ & Blackbird).
Eventually we will post up some screenshots and some videos of us playing the game soon. If you or other members want to see more media from this game, please tell us. Your opinions let us know what you guys want and want to see.

|I'd like to see some videos of the PS2 Wangan Midnight...is this version better than the VERY first Wangan Midnight arcade in terms of graphics? And it's also the same game engine that was used in TXR right?|
|Posted by: AsakuraZ May 18 2007, 12:15 PM|
|I'd say there about even par in terms of graphics. And the game engine is almost the say. Except there is no "Free Roam" mode. In between the races, you drive down the highway for a few seconds and then encounter the next driver.|
|Posted by: InsanezX2 May 20 2007, 05:56 PM|
| Yeah, the WM PS2 game is built on the same engine and highway system as TXR Zero (Shutokou Battle: Zero). There are even a couple of signs on top of a couple of buildings with the Shutokou battle logo on them. The physics seem a bit different though. It's a far shorter game than Zero and doesn't allow car customization, but it's a whole lot of fun and worth the purchase IMO.
Also, to keep with the point of this thread, here are three copies of the game. I bought my copy from this seller, so I would recomend them plus they're the cheapest ones currently on ebay.

|Links aren't working|
|Posted by: InsanezX2 May 21 2007, 06:16 AM|
I pasted the correct links, but it appears that this forum isn't showing the links properly. When I click the links in "preview post" they work fine, but when I submit the post it puts spaces in the URL. Just a forum glitch that needs to be fixed I guess. Anyway, here are the item numbers for the three links I posted above. Just copy and paste them into the search bar on ebay.

-1st Ebay Link
Huh? This description sounds like Midnight Club 3 to me. HAHA..Dunno what the user is smokin on. LOL.
|Posted by: InsanezX2 May 21 2007, 12:46 PM|
Yeah, it is Wangan Midnight, the seller just doesn't know what he's got. That's probaly why it's the cheapest on ebay though, so its a good thing I guess.
|Posted by: Midnight Star May 23 2007, 11:07 PM|
|Thanks so much for the link. Now i can photoshop a design for a Speed Shop Shinohara sticker so i can get a couple printed|

|Posted by: Yell0w Aug 25 2007, 07:51 AM|

|I can't find anymore PS2 Wangan Midnight or the Maximum Tune PS2 versions... Anyone know where? I don't really mind the region|
|Posted by: Grunswald Aug 25 2007, 09:31 AM|
| maximum tune doesn't exists on ps2 i think, doesn't it ? for wangan midnight if it's still available on any website... On playasia i saw dvds of wangan midnight in the anime section. do you know what is it ?
i talk about that :
are they the dvd of the anime that we find here ? If it's that i'm really disappointed lol. 60$ for two episodes of something which look like a tv show... that's really expensive... like the ligher lol

Oh, wait... it says Custom Cars... nevermind...

| Is it worth to buy a wwmt card on ebay?
If somebody know let me know because im interest of buying a card and i dont know if I should buy it or not.
|Posted by: Lazy_Drifter08 Dec 11 2007, 04:29 PM|
| if that guy on ebay still does the 20 or 25 $ deals
its worth it
he full tunes any car except secret cars on wmmt2 and you pick car color and name
for me where its 3 tokens to play and 1 token = $.25
better than making it yourself
and guaranteed unshaded

*cough* look at the shipping price...
|Posted by: weirdo808hi Jul 26 2008, 02:28 AM|
I'm pretty sure most of the MT sellers do that now. They list the auction for $1 and have some high amount for shipping to save on fees. But like it says 11 cards for $90 ($1 auction + $89 shipping). Or at least I think thats how it works?
|Posted by: Geo Jul 26 2008, 02:35 AM|
for 11 cards, that seems quite understandable.
|Posted by: HeeroYuy135 Aug 2 2008, 11:55 AM|
| What about eBay items that can be "custom"
You know..."820HP + YOUR NAME + full dressup parts + stars" and so fourth...
Are they really legit?
|Posted by: Tenkai Sep 9 2008, 05:11 PM|
| Yes they are.
They are actually cards from Maximum Tune 2 transferred over, I know some of the ebay sellers doing them, this is how they do it.
My ebay listing is over here though:
It's not much, but just trying to get rid of the cards
|Posted by: Dare Sep 11 2008, 01:05 AM|
in these cases, transferred over, then dressup done.
they're not direct sales, so these ones are a touch different.

|you know that guy is right that is just shit might has well buy a new one because this might be used.|

Luckily I turned the guy in to ebay
|Posted by: Midnight Star Sep 1 2009, 02:12 AM|
It's an MT card loaded onto a train ticket. Easily done, you can save an MT card onto any kind of magnetic card. Hell, we even duplicated my hiace onto an ID3 card. I'm guessing that's a HK train ticket
|Posted by: RIT_ninja Sep 1 2009, 10:43 AM|
| but its cooler to dupe it onto a train ticket
I dupe DEVIL onto a GuitarFreaks V2 card (drummania, you're next lol)
|Posted by: RIT_ninja Sep 7 2009, 11:59 PM|
| lol, the $600 MT3 machines have been removed due to violation
so it was fake
|Posted by: dreen_racer Nov 1 2009, 08:40 AM|
|In MT2 i dupe the "Tokyo" Gemballa in a Train card ;p|
|Posted by: RIT_ninja Nov 1 2009, 12:23 PM|
| MUST BUY if ur rich lol
MT3 machines for $6000 (twin set):
location closing, proly limited time offer. The machines look like they're only a year old (MT2 upgrade though)
|Posted by: ABRD Nov 2 2009, 02:56 AM|
I dunno if it's just me but why is the gear shifter on that machine on the right hand side.... Shouldn't it be on the left?

|Posted by: Geo Nov 2 2009, 02:59 AM|
Americano gaijin desu.
|Posted by: winter07 Nov 2 2009, 03:41 AM|
coz the machines is from america driving standard.
|Posted by: Paladinoras Nov 2 2009, 06:16 AM|
Apparently it's the American version or something.
It's kinda hard to get used to.
|Posted by: RIT_ninja Nov 2 2009, 02:46 PM|
not at all
I played left hand shifter for 3 years and moved to Seattle and tried right hand shifter about like 5 times and got used to it immediately, though sometimes I do have left arm reflexes to downshift lol
|Posted by: ABRD Nov 2 2009, 08:48 PM|
| Weird, I live in a country with left hand drive cars. But, MT cabs here are with left hand shifters as well.....
I reckon we should have that here for a more realistic driving experience. For realisms sake. right?
But don't get me wrong, Im more used to the left hand shifter since I have been on the eversince...
|Posted by: GT3 RS Nov 2 2009, 08:54 PM|
What country do you live in?
Heres a Wangan CPU,that doesnt work
|Posted by: ABRD Nov 2 2009, 09:34 PM|
Philippines. Here the driver sits on the left side of the car.
|Posted by: GT3 RS Nov 2 2009, 09:38 PM|
Oh,well we have the right hand shifters
As for Initial D,diff story.....even though I use AT in ID3
|Posted by: ABRD Nov 2 2009, 10:20 PM|
Most racing games here even battle gear have left hand shifters. It's only need for speed carbon and NASCAR that have them right hand shifters....
|Posted by: rx-666 Nov 3 2009, 01:08 AM|
|if you cant get used to it on a game you have issues. i went from lhd to rhd in real life and it wasnt that bad. left side is better though maybe thats why, must be harder going from left to right than right to left.|
|Posted by: Paladinoras Nov 3 2009, 06:12 AM|
Well, if you played hundreds of games with your left hand shifting, changing to a right hand cabin can have that phantom shift syndrome, waving at nothing. That makes you crash, thus I am not so good with right hand.
|Posted by: RIT_ninja Nov 15 2009, 02:48 PM|
I played countless MT games with rhd, and came to US and all of the sudden its lhd, it only takes a few weeks to get used to. The "waving at emptyness" habit only happens once in a while. Yes, its embarassing, but most of the time, ppl don't notice u doing that
|Posted by: GT3 RS Nov 15 2009, 05:12 PM|
| Well to get back on topic,heres a MT2 GD-ROM
|Posted by: GT3 RS Feb 15 2010, 10:43 AM|
