jeeeezzzz i have no idea how they managed to get a run like this on camera
|Posted by: Geo Apr 11 2009, 04:04 PM|
|Lol I was going to post that last night but I cbf'd and thought Marv would do it XD|
|Posted by: Moss Apr 11 2009, 05:32 PM|
there we go =P
|Posted by: Dare Apr 11 2009, 06:05 PM|
| Is it just me or does it look like they're hiding something at the start?
video starts with them already in 3rd @ 170ish k's
wonder if they have some technique to eliminate wheelspin at start...
|Posted by: Geo Apr 11 2009, 06:21 PM|
|I assume so. Same thing for the Sz.Pk Osaka video. They start the video after he's already rolling in 3rd/4th.|
|Posted by: Dare Apr 11 2009, 06:34 PM|
| I reckon theres some trick..
i've been experimenting since MT3 but no luck yet lol
0:47 he bumps the wall o.O
|Posted by: maxtrk Apr 11 2009, 09:16 PM|
| Hahaha no trick guys........ That is the complete run........... All lines are revealed now for Nagoya...... Jackie + Prides video has shown all lines..............
|Posted by: Dare Apr 12 2009, 12:22 AM|
| I'm talking about the startup max...
is there some new trick where you get rid of wheelspin at the start... and from there you get a better startup?
|Posted by: mark142007 Apr 12 2009, 05:37 AM|
| Hello, my name is Mark. I was born in Republic of Ireland but I have lived in a city called Adelaide in Australia for 22 years. This forum is really good.
I hope Hong Kong's T.R.K will beat MHR's times on all courses. I prefer Max, Taro and Jackie's driving style compared to the Midnight Heaven Racing team members driving styles. ASKA and Pride are very good drivers but I still think Max, Jackie and Taromisaki have more style and class on their videos.
Max, can MX-5 or any other car do a faster time than the RX-8 on Nogoya?
|Posted by: maxtrk Apr 12 2009, 05:55 AM|
I said no tricks means no tricks hahahaha. No trick for start up buddy.
Well, hope so.... We will try our best.... I have total respect for fellow rival TEPODON,PRIDE and ASKA.... But our aim is to be the best before MT4 comes......
MX-5 can do fast times but just difficult to handle the car.
|Posted by: Dare Apr 12 2009, 05:59 AM|
I'm trying to figure out if we can ever get our cars to get the same startup as computer ghosts do in ghost battle...
they just scoot ahead. =(
|Posted by: mark142007 Apr 12 2009, 06:03 AM|
|TEPODON, PRIDE and ASKA are brilliant drivers and great Maximum Tune players. I have 100% respect for TEPODON, PRIDE and ASKA but T.R.K are my favourite team. T.R.K videos are always great to watch.|
|Posted by: maxtrk Apr 12 2009, 06:16 AM|
|Posted by: ken_r34 Apr 12 2009, 06:19 AM|
they just start ahead of us.
|Posted by: geokilla Apr 12 2009, 06:58 AM|
| If you look closely, the video started just before he shifted into 3rd.
Ghosts don't start ahead of us...On some courses in the beginning, they get like a 20m advantage before we take them over.
|Posted by: Dare Apr 12 2009, 07:22 AM|
| No, no.
What I'm trying to say is,
you know how computer ghosts get that early advantage...
i have no idea how to explain it but go and have a look..
their initial startup is what i want
i know the video starts just before he shifted to third, but why not start it from the word GO?
|Posted by: geokilla Apr 12 2009, 07:30 AM|
Ya I know what you mean, that's what I meant too....lol. Maybe they started in 1st gear then machine gunned to 3rd LOL.
The video doesn't start at GO cus they wanna be special...
Hmm here's a good question. For the CP1 and CP3 first red right turn, if you guys turn a bit earlier while keeping the throttle technique and everything the same, I reckon you guys could be closer to the wall and not in the middle of the road, thus letting you floor it a bit earlier. Would that work? I dunno...I'm noob.
|Posted by: Dare Apr 12 2009, 07:38 AM|
| nah.. the turns too long...
by keeping in the middle of the road the angle is slightly better...
turn too early you're gonna have to stay in the turn a bit longer and loose more speed...
|Posted by: geokilla Apr 12 2009, 07:52 AM|
Not like what the old lines for Nagoya. I meant like using the same, new lines for CP1 and CP3, but turning just a tad bit earlier so you're not in the middle in the road, thus trying to take it a bit tighter than it is now. Does that make sense?
|Posted by: Dare Apr 12 2009, 08:05 AM|
| i know what you mean...
but by turning earlier you're actually making the curve longer...
Normal turns yes, but because that turn is an extended turn...
a rough idea of what im explaining is here
Black being the road
the two straight lines being a basic idea
blue line being normal
red being the wall...
by pushing close to the wall you have to stay in the turn a bit longer, keep sliding longer, therefore loose more speed.
keep in mind nagoya's turns is FAR longer than that picture
this is my understanding of how it works anyway
less speed loss..
[ Post merged on [mrgtm]1239552412[/mrgtm] ]
angles change when you turn earlier...
just because you turn earlier, if you maintain the angle, you wont exit next to the wall...
you'll basically be going out-in-in if you maintain the same angle as the middle line technique

You forgot about Ray.
|Posted by: MoneyMarv Apr 12 2009, 07:27 PM|
THIS ISNT A FAILURE THO.
Nice vid styll.. LOL.. Dare now go take vids that start when ur at 3rd
|Posted by: Kungfool Apr 12 2009, 10:37 PM|
TEPODON holds the record for the tokyo metro TA atm...and that's my single criteria for the best driver in MT...tho jackie's not too far behind...
|Posted by: Dare Apr 12 2009, 11:54 PM|
|Remembering most people cant be stuffed playing the metro courses though.|
|Posted by: "Go to Osaka" Apr 13 2009, 12:12 AM|
| That was a sexy run
What's up with hitting the wall though? He didn't slow down??? The wall wanted to touch their RX-8 maybe XD
I've yet to play Nagoya >.<
|Posted by: Dare Apr 13 2009, 12:58 AM|
|he didn't slow down, but his accel was dulled for that one second it looked like|
|Posted by: <MB> Apr 13 2009, 01:48 AM|
| Hitting a wall and still getting the fastest time in the world...
wow *bows to MHR*
|Posted by: Geo Apr 13 2009, 02:00 AM|
We all know in our hearts that TRK are the true kings of MT
|Posted by: Dare Apr 13 2009, 02:35 AM|
| Speaking of TRK there were a bunch of "TRK" at gc today...
i wanted to vs them but machine crashed =(
|Posted by: maxtrk Apr 13 2009, 07:49 AM|
| TRK would have been true kings if there were more good competition in HK... Compare to Japan, we have less competition here so its quite hard to improve more..... there are still some secrets we dont know of certain maps......
But Nagoya, i guess if everything goes well, Me or Jackie can bring down MHR's Pride..... hopefully.........
|Posted by: Dare Apr 13 2009, 08:05 AM|
| there are still secrets hidden to TRK?
you're joking right?
|Posted by: maxtrk Apr 13 2009, 08:19 AM|
Haha, no joke buddy..............
Such as, CP4 of C1 Out........ Japan best is 538 / Ray is 569.......... But Ray Cp1 is 643 and Japan only 701
Then Osaka Cp4 Japan is 892 and HK is only 991 ahahhaa
Have some other CP's as well, but those were the one with most differences....... We are fast one some cp's, they r fast on some....... Nobody can be perfect..... Only road where one guy is perfect with is Ray on Hakone...... In or Out, he has perfect cp's
Though still we are better overall compare to MHR, but yet there is some stuff which even we don't know hahaha........
|Posted by: Jerry Liu Apr 13 2009, 09:25 AM|
|Lol, wait... Hakone Outbound... EVEN BETTER THAN TARO???|
|Posted by: Kungfool Apr 13 2009, 07:19 PM|
| NOBODY CAN BE PERFECT is right...even tho the theory is there...flawless execution must follow too...we are talking abt times involving thousandths of a second here...
anyway all the best to TRK...from the IR (comments), PRIDE's aiming for 7XX for nagoya too...so let's see who gets there first ^^
@dare: u r right that there aren't many pple playing TA for the metro courses...
however if one isn't already doing a 50 for both C1, low 31 for nbl ccw and low 32 for nbl cw...then very unlikely to be beating TEPODON or Jackie's timing on the tokyo metro...those are the basic requirements...and i doubt there are more than a handful outside japan, hk and taiwan who can do those kind of timings on all 4 maps...
|Posted by: BDDEE@ Apr 13 2009, 07:42 PM|
| lol... many people outside hk tw japan can do those times
the only one i would be doubting on is low 31 for nbl ccw.... 50 c1 32 nbl cw are not uncommon in regions outside of the ones you listed
|Posted by: maxtrk Apr 13 2009, 09:15 PM|
| Metro is all about concentration.............. And to beat Tepodon and jackie, the basic requirement is
C1 In 50'5 , Out 50'6, NBL CCW 31'1, NBL CW is not hard in METRO so i won't require anything for it hahahaha....
Regarding the 02'7xx for Nagoya, i think whoever gets it first is not the point, who has the fastest 7xx is what matters.... And i think PRIDE getting first is normal because he played Nagoya non stop since DX came out.... Other roads he played a day or more...
And for who asked for Hakone Out, Yes Ray is faster..... Just that we are teammates so we Ray didn't bother to play Hakone Out.... But remember when Taro on IR was 27'3 and thats the only map he played, Ray got 27'2 in 50 games LoL.
|Posted by: xeoreg Apr 13 2009, 09:24 PM|
|does ray still play?|
|Posted by: maxtrk Apr 13 2009, 10:36 PM|
Very less, 50'63x on C1 Out, Playing seldom NBL CCW now.....
Waiting for $1 per game then, we will play in full flow again.
|Posted by: pillz Apr 14 2009, 08:23 AM|
i see even in hk there are expense issues XD
|Posted by: Kungfool Apr 14 2009, 08:32 AM|
| @max: if ray is the best in hakone, i would've thot that he will try and get the top timing for trk first (that means faster than HKWCS) before he takes a break...or u guys hiding the times again? =P
@pillz: well...we are in the midst of a global financial crisis...tho i dun see it from the way some kids are playing MT ==
|Posted by: mark142007 Apr 14 2009, 11:01 PM|
|I think Jackie will beat Pride's time. I think Jackie can do a lower 3'02"7xx on Nagoya.|
|Posted by: maxtrk Apr 15 2009, 02:38 AM|
| Metro is expensive in HK dude.... You got no idea how painful it is for a driver who is aiming IR#1 hits a wall at cp1,2 and cause the whole run to be a trash....
Its $6 HKD per game and its almost 60KM..... So no one can really play it fast..... Ray might play this road at the end of DX....
|Posted by: GUIluver Apr 16 2009, 07:27 AM|
|this run is freakin insane, but ugh wat is the fastest time for GDBc on this course|
|Posted by: maxtrk Apr 17 2009, 09:20 PM|
| I dont think jackie can do 02'7xx
Ray didn't play Hakone coz he want to finish the other maps first
|Posted by: mageblast Apr 17 2009, 11:41 PM|
|Its never impossible unless you buy a machine (nobody would) , set the credits to free mode and spam play|
|Posted by: GUIluver Apr 18 2009, 04:03 AM|
|i will now attempt this course to get at least a 03"5xx, ugh gotta lotta work to do, but still 15/10vid its boss|
|Posted by: mark142007 May 17 2009, 02:10 AM|
|Taiwan now has a 3'02"830 with MX-5. HAMAN is fast on Osaka and Nagoya.|
|Posted by: Waddles May 19 2009, 05:31 AM|
|Very nice run, So you're supposed to take that first yellow right turn somewhat wide? Hmm, I always went out-in-out not out-mid-out.|
|Posted by: winter07 May 24 2009, 05:27 AM|
i dont think the 0:47 was a bang.
its it bang or tap wall, it should have minus speed.
|Posted by: Dare May 24 2009, 06:19 AM|
no, not necessarily will speed drop..
if you clip it gently enough all you'll get is your speed doesnt increase for half a second
|Posted by: Waddles May 24 2009, 07:40 PM|
Sadly, it still seems like it affected his record somewhat =[ could've been faster without it? Maybe hitting it was the reason for that fast time, lol.
|Posted by: Kayye May 31 2009, 01:43 AM|
|dayum man..thats crazy..i cant even get 3.05 with my rx-8 xD|
|Posted by: xRichaadox Sep 5 2009, 08:28 PM|
| well whenever a person clips a wall or something, they usually ease up and finish the course in a more relaxed manner.
therefore after the little tap he was probably no longer as tense and thinking too much about lines and exit speeds, which probably led to smoother driving and more gut instincts, which MIGHT have helped his run.
^^ thats my theory
|Posted by: Geo Sep 5 2009, 08:46 PM|
|I was thinking more so that they wouldn't want to waste their credit by retiring after a mistake. They could keep going and improve their other CP's.|
|Posted by: PuffyChain Oct 19 2009, 03:07 AM|
|that car do not any dress-up...|
|Posted by: Geo Oct 19 2009, 03:48 AM|
Your point being...?
|Posted by: Paladinoras Oct 19 2009, 05:11 AM|
| Yet another record being broken with an RX-8...
Maybe I should get one after all...
