Me personally I have a 91' MR2 non-turbo that I'm in the process of doing several thigns at once. Right now it's body and suspension while I'm ordering turbo pieces at the same time.

Can we see a paper with something like "Wangan Midnight Expressway" next to the car?

Also do not doubt what other people have here. Being negative is not something that will be tolerated. happy.gif

Something that should not be tolerated anywhere.

Yo all. I'm 16 still and can't get my own car yet since i don't have a licince. But i have it all worked out tongue.gif I'm gunna get either one of these cars:

*Ca18det Silvia/180sx
*JZA70 Supra
*280ZX Fairlady Z
*300ZX Fairlady Z

I plan on buying in New Zealand since i've discovered it's cheaper to buy cars there and import them then just buying the cars here in Aust. I can find all of those cars for under $5k. If i'm lucky i might find a 240ZX too. They're rare but when you do find an unmodded one they're pretty cheap.

Damn son, you sure know how to dream. That is exactly what I thought when I wanted to get my first car. "I'll just buy a supra from Canada, it's ONLY 10k and it is cheap to import it back, right?" But sure enough my dreams turned out to be just that, dreams. First 10k might not seem like alot, but when I actually had to find a job and work to try and get that money, it was way harder then I expected. At my old job they paid $7.50/ph and I thought at that rate I could have the money for the car in 3 YEARS!! And to make matters worse it turned out to be more like five becouse they were takeing money out and putting it in Social Security. Second, cheap in shipping terms is not that cheap. Example, when was looking at EVOIII's on the mitsu website it said to ship the car anywhere in the U.S., from the dealer in California it would cost $3500! That was even more time I would need to spend saveing money! Even when I found a good dealer in Canada that is selling supras it still costs $2500-$3k to ship out of country, and then to add injury to insult THEY DONT SHIP TO THE U.S.!!! But that was just my experence and you very well might not have any problems at all and live with you car happily ever after. If you got rich parents go for it!! But if it's you, start saving now becouse you got a long way to go to reach that dream. Good Luck!

p.s.- Good luck trying to find a 280zx, seriously good luck I love that car... laugh.gif

I drive a '93 Honda Civic EX (stock ATM).

Right now I'm hunting for some parts... like an Integra engine I can lift into my car.

I know that my car is rather lame right now...

Response to your last post: I did get it stolen... but fortunately it was recovered, and even more miraculously, there was nothing damaged or missing.

That's te best part cause not you can do stuff toit without people giving you a hard time. Just avoid getting it stolen and stick to OBDI makes life alot simpler.

I currently own a 1998 Nissan S14, I am in the process of selling it once the snow is gone, tho. After I sell it I have a few routes I could go, I am having a hard time deciding. I also own a 1995 Mirage, I could buy an Evo III parts car and do the entire Evo III conversion to the Mirage. Me and a few friends would be swapping over the entire awd drivetrain, engine, most of the exterior body panels, brakes, and possibly the rhd dash as well. The other option I have is I could get myself an R32 Skyline GTS-Turbo. I'd need to get a grand more, but other than that I'd be fine for it.

I also found out there's a guy selling a dark blue 1974 Z right in the area. Needs a little work, but the rest of it is perfectly fine and it's $900 obo. The Snow is melting now, and I'd love to work on that out in my garage once the weather is nice.

Sunzabuto, I don't know if you realize the kid lives in Australia. Both importation laws are a LOT more leniant and New Zealand is a hop ski and a jump away, so shipping will be extremely cheap. Practically any car in New Zealand is going to be completely legal in Australia, too. He isn't subject to the massive inflated prices that we Americans are forced to pay for cars that are only worth about $2000.

Yah, it sucks to be an American when buying foriegn cars(the best cars). People like that kid in Australia are lucky as hell when importing cars.

p.s.- Damn you for haveing the chance to covert your Mirage to EVOIII!!! I love EVOIIIs!!!!!

Yeah, it sucks living here. But, I'm glad I live in MN rather than a state like CA. No emissions, no smog, really you can do anything to your car that you want and the cops can't hassle you about it. And, the roads are pretty nice as well.

If I choose to do the Evo III project it will take a lot of time and work, but I'll also have 3 competent mechanics working along with me on the car. Lol, my one friend keeps on trying to push the idea of the rhd conversion...I'm not too sure about that. The Evo III has to be my favourite Evo of them all, after VI I think they seriously went downhill.

Lol, yeah along with all good VW's. And then, we have the Hondas that are basically turning into Saturns...and we have some Saturns (Saturn Sky) that come out looking better than the new Z Roadster...don't get me started on BMW's.

Damn, the whole world is going batty!

Edit: Except the 1 series...damn, that thing's hot. I can't wait for the M1.

Yeah, I'm a little happier with the V36 now. I wonder when exactly the V36 GT-R will start to come into the country...I know of a small number of people (2) that actually have one prebought.

Hmm, I'm really stuck right now. I could blow everything on the GTS-Turbo, but then I'd be dirt poor...

I just joined. I had seen a cartoon/anime of a Z racing some other car at night (on a Z car forum) and loved it then I did al little searching and found this site.

I have loved Z cars for 25 years and always wanted a black 240 Z. 16 years ago I was (22) I found it, A blue one, I painted it black and did a minor restoration, I put a 75 280 motor in it (N42 head) with a ZX 5 speed then Koni Struts, swaybars, HKS flywheel, 16 inch Rikens, and Wilwood brakes It probably made close to 200 crank HP. I drove the car for 4 years, it had some electrical problems so I put it in storage for a while, a while turned into 10 years and in 2004 I came across the perfect reason to get it our of storage. I found a straight 6 7MGTE (Turbo Supra Motor) The engine and trans are way beefier than the Z 2.8 liter and the EFI is perfectly suited to easily double the HP or more, the transmissions are good for more than 700 HP and the head is a DOHC with an intercooler.

I decided to go crazy with the motor before I got it running. I put a huge turbo on it bigger injectors, a huge intercooler and 3 inch exhaust and intercooler plumbing everything before the turbo is 4 inch dia. Installed a tail wastegate and a Greddy blow off valve. Also I installed water methanol injection so I wouldnt have to run race gas. This set up is good for 32 psi on pump gas and makes well over 600 rear wheel hp probably over 700 crank horsepower. I have to turn the boost down for auto cross events.

This car is like a video game in real life. Vipers (any gen), C6 ZO6's, GSXR1000's, Ducati999r's Mustang's, Supras, of any type or mod are just a few of the vehicles my car has laid waste to. Before you doubt me realize this car weighs 2500lbs and has around 600 RWHP and very sticky tires, my rears only last about 9 months of weekend driving.

I love my car and it has been a ton of work and trouble but its worth it every time I take someone for a first drive, I get everything from menaical laughter, to utter silence, some dont even comment. Its only days later that a friend of theirs calls me to tell me that they were literally scared to be in my car. Boy that makes me smile. Hope the photos make you smile.

MOD, please let me know if thats too many photos and I will edit the post.

I run megasquirt on my 1jz for the last year or so. Going with big cams and Holset hx35 soon. hate the stock twins. I blow them up every 6 months or so sad.gif

Just drop in a RB25 you'll be much happier in the long run. Don't get me wrong you can still find old school tunning parts for the L28. But it's a very much outdated motor mostly do to it's under developed head.

She's got coilovers, tire and wheel, strut and sway bar upgrades and some intake and exhaust mods. I'm actually replacing the cat and exhaust later this week, because of a pesky exhaust leak that now needs to be repaired. wink2.gif

I have an early 1970 S30Z. It just got painted, however I have discovered many flaws in the overall body (I've learned my lesson NOT to let a friend paint your car) but it's still looks pretty good. It's got a 280 ZX NA engine in it, along with a 5 speed and LSD. I've recently bought new carpet and vinyl for it which I will install this Friday. I also have red Schroth harnesses and Corbeau TRS seats waiting to be installed after everything else. I am really considering a V8 swap, since I love V8 muscle cars and the swap it fairly simple. I'll post pics soon, probably after the interior is finished.

Here's what I have back home in Malaysia. It's an early model MkIV Supra. Should be a 93/94 model. Bought the car in Jan 2006. Everything is immaculately stock standard, with a few bodykit (front, side and rear skirts and an exhaust tip).

I don't plan to do much to this car. I like to keep it as immaculate as possible. I'll proabably just put in a BOV, an LSD, a Supra 4 pot brake set, and some nice dished rims.

The Civic and Lexus are my friends' cars. We all have silver cars. How abt that? laugh.gif

Very nice cars guys. Just curious, how much did that Supra cost you? I wonder what prices are like for a car like that overseas.

Posted by: WanganSupra Apr 3 2007, 02:41 AM
I bought the car for 91,000 Malaysian dollars.

In conversion, it would be approx. 30,000 Australian dollars.

I guess you can convert it to your own currency.

Hope this helps. smile.gif

NO offense to any Skyline fan but I downright HATE the R33 and R34 i think the computers ruin the fun. If i was to buy a skyline id buy the barebones R32. Same for the Supras im not a fan of the MK4 supras seems like they werent being themselves id rather have the Supra in its purest form with the MK3. But hey thats just me

AMEN!

I personally own a 86.5 MKIII Supra that I LOVE to beat the (you know what) out of on the streets. I've had more than my fair share of fun over 100, usually hitting 120. Lots of fun.

Plus, the LSD makes for even more fun. Hehe.

I drive a Honda Prelude in real life (stick shift of course). Although it's not the fastest car out there, it's a fun car to drive.

Posted by: Jon Michael Apr 11 2007, 05:46 PM
Oh, nice...I will say this...The last gen. Prelude is one of the few Honda's I would want to have. There's one around the area here, the guy autox it. It's a beautiful car, the interior is partly stripped but still comfortable and nice...lip kit, very nice and clean, the car is two colours. Bottom half is black, then around the bodyline the top is this really nice gunmetal colour...never thought I'd like a two-tone car, but it's beautiful.

You could probably hack the nanies out of the 33 and 34 yourself, if not someone do it for not too many shells. o.o;

I personally adore the 400R, I'd take it over any other AWD Skyline any day. But that's me.

Posted by: Jon Michael Apr 11 2007, 09:27 PM
The GTO was a pretty good rival to the R32 Skyline, too, when it came out. I'd say moreso than the Supra.

I don't think the computers so much ruin the Skyline. Only way I can see ruining a car is adding paddle shifters. That's the fastest way to seperate man from the car even more while still keeping it manual...wtf, why not just make a high performance automatic then?!

Yesterday I (finally) got around to installing the carpet and vinyl into my Z and I just want to say that I hope I never have to do that again. It took me nearly 5 hours because nothing fit like it was supposed to. The fact that it's been raining here like crazy the past few days didn't make it any easier. Ok I'm done complaining.

Pics soon I promise!

My ride is a E-46C 330Ci with a Stage 1 Dinan package, which consists of an engine chip, transmission chip, new airbox, cat-back, and a strut tower brace. It doesn't make much HP(around 255), but it moves. The current set of wheels I have on it are 19" Foose wheels that came with it, however they're pretty banged up so I want to switch over to some 18" O.Z. Ultraleggras with staggered sizing.

First (obviously) you need the photos on your computer.
Then, get an account at http://www.photobucket.com or another free photo hosting site.
Post your pictures to Photobucket (or whichever other hosting site you went with).
Then, use the image tags in your post; they look like this:

[ img ] image file URL [ /img ]

Just delete the spaces when you're attempting it, as I had to add them to make the tags visible.

For example:
[ IMG ]http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y49/Zanaduz/f-Data-Crash-4149.gif[ /IMG ]

I guess I'll post pictures of my car. The car is a 1986 Toyota MR2 N/A. It's a fun little car, but people love to just try to act like their racing some hilariously overpowered sports car when they see it. I've had too many people (read: riced-out civic noobs in cars with aluminum spoilers and horribly-fitted body kits) do fly-bys by me, and it gets old. But I love the car and have a few plans for it soon.

user posted image

It looks like this currently. I've got the money saved to send it to the body shop for paint and to fix the little rust issues, but I haven't had a chance to get it there yet. Anyways, here's the scoop:

JDM 6M-GE 3.0L 12v motor
Raptor Racing 6-1 header
3" straight through Exhaust w/ Magnaflo exhaust
HKS Super dirt Flow filter
Magnacore KV85 wires
Optima battery soon to be relocated to the back hatch.

Jim King Short Shifter
TRD Japan leather knob
Tom's wheel and horn button
Splash adapter

LJM Strut Tower Bar
Koni Sports in all 4 corners
T3 front camber plates
(working on a spring solution for front coilovers and rear lowering)
SSR/RS-Watanabe RS-8s (16x7 front, 16x8 rear)
T3 wheel adaptors
935 Motorsports/T3 35mm RCAs
Fuzion ZRi rubber
Nissan Z32 front Big Brakes
Technafit custom lines

Leatherseats.com interior
Jim King AC kit

That's it for now. The future plan is to run Megasquirt and adapt some 4A-GE ITBs to it. If I get MS working on it, I'll have mounts fabricated on my spare crossmember and then I'll move to a JZ motor. 1JZ would be nice and I wouldn't have to worry about shredding the transmission or diff.

My daily driver is a '92 SC 300 5-spd. Bone stock for now. sad.gif

I've kinda left this thread alone for the most part. My thoughts on posting your car in a thread and providing proof is up to the person. Personally I could care less if they have it or not. If they wanna live in a lie where they need to tell people on the internet that they have cars they really dont have, then I feel kinda sorry for them.

hi guys,
im new to this forum, but ive been playing the game for a few years!!
im from Montreal, Qc, Canada.

i own a 1988 Mazda RX7 TurboII.
the engine is a 1988 TurboII Jspec engine.
has a T3/T4 quickspool turbo, hks fuel management and a lot of other modifications, after tuning with Steve Kan (the best Rotary Tuner in North America) car should be in the 300-330 rwhp. all the pics are there: http://gotboost.monchar.com

theres also pictures of my old 1991 Nissan 240sx fastback with a Skyline R33 GTS-t complete mechanical swap was dynoed at 375 rwhp and 355 lbs-tq , geared for a top speed of 296 km/h.
and of my daily driven 1996 Acura Integra (bone stock, and will stay like that).

ill post pics and more infos about the cars and setups once i get back from work tonite!!!

Bruno

Sweet you go t a S4 TII RX-7. I don't yet but if I was to get a start out car, it would probably be a RX-7. Reason why is because they're easy to work on if you know how and my brother has a 1991 S5 GTU Turbo swap RX-7. lol we kinda have rotary in our blood.

Sorry it's taken so long to respond, I'll take a pic of the front as soon as I get it back from the restoration shop. They're finishing all the minor problems (scratches that I made myself tongue.gif) and some weatherstripping issues.

It depends on whom you ask. In Japan it was always an SA22C chassis, but elsewhere the VIN began with FB starting with the Series III (which mine is), so a lot of people call them that.

Actually the s2000 is the daily driver. The tacoma is my highway/drag racer car. The clutch in the truck is just brutal for stop n go traffic. But occasionally i use it to drive to the arcade!

here's the proof of the info about the CLS55 AMG I was talking about.

I'm so tempted to get my license right now and buy them (Of course, the reason that pulled me back is money constraint, a lot of it)

Hey, I'm 20 but I don't have my N yet wink2.gif only L(I already know how to drive just that I was not confident to take test. I'm going to this summer). I was too busy studying in college becuase I want to aim for medical school. I managed to get A average (for medical school in canada, you need at least A- average) but my english is screwing me over(arg!).

I'm goign to get a simple manual car for myself, prob under 2K to get used to it. I want to get a miata or I don't know any car to have fun with. Then I'm going to get JPN import cars(hopefully) like:

MR2, RX-7 (FC or FD), supra, and so on... Nothing too old like 240Z or treuno becuase not only they cost a lot to buy(well, good condition ones and most of these cars are tuned up anyway) but also a lot of maintainace is needed.

I drive a Subaru Impreza Outback Sport... its a station wagon grin2.gif it started off stock at 142hp but I've done quite a few mods to it... and I haven't even got my driving permit yet lol. Sure it might not have much power, but with gas prices getting higher in California, I regret it less, getting 28mpg.

i have on it:
-new spark plugs
-new spark plug wires
-new shocks, old shocks were smooth but were completely blown, switched over to kyb agx's- 8 way adjustable shocks shifty2.gif
-new brake rotors and ebc performance brake pads
-new 20mm sway bar in the rear
-front strut bar
-2 k&n performance air filters
-new catback exhaust

I get to re-adjust the valves today, so while its up on jacks, I'll take some pictures.

Posted by: firstshadow Jul 11 2007, 10:39 PM
apparently some of the earlier impreza outbacks had 2.5 liter engines but had engine problems, lucky me i got the 2.2 liter and it performs better than my dads 05 suzuki aerio sx with a 2.5 liter grin2.gif

if your in the united states, check craigslist for your area, and go to auto under for sale and look around there, i often see some worthwhile cars for cheap

Nice car. But it looks black, so good luck keeping it looking good. Mine's black too and it's a pain in the ass. Then again it was damaged before I owned it so I've started to care less about how it looks and more about how it runs.

I'm in SoCal now, and a small incident with a truck left me without the little center fake light thingy. So this is how the car looks now. I'll fix it eventually (money).

lol i dont have enough money for a turbo right now.. but i want to do some research first. the rx8 doesnt have many turbo kits available atm... only ones i know of are greddy, mazsport, ptp... the greddy is shit and its 3000ish, the mazsport is awesome but its 8-10k without all the goodies that go along with turbo'ing.. blahhh so expensive T_T

Tofu boy. Do you have any pictures of the Motor in your FC3S?

If you do i want to see it. I have alot of rotary friends here in T-town.
I Had a friend with a street ported 13b that was rebuilt running a Haltech, upgraded turbo and fmic and injectors. It blew though because the last person that rebuilt the engine before him used different compression rotors and it blew due to being unbalanced and leaning the hell out. Blew 2 out of its 3 apex seals on both rotors and still idled.
Throw something in the picture to know its yours.

It's stuff like that which is why Initial D World invented the Bread and Milk tradition... because mad people just find a pic of a car online and try to pass it off as their own. Kinda lame, don't you think?

I should go over there and dig up the part of the thread where someone used that exact same pic and called it their car. It was so funny...

Ah never mind. I remember now. You were the one who put the same pic (that one) all over the "What Car do you Have?" thread and Takumi Trueno's replicar thread and the one thread where some random IDW user actually found your car in a parking lot and took a photo of it.

You never did take a picture with break+milk. XD

Just my G20, '99 Touring 5spd with nylon interior and no sunroof, another couple aesthetics worth mentioning is that it has a four link rear suspension and viscous LSD tranny. I don't have any recent pics of it but getting ready to install a few goodies. Tein Type SS Pro coil overs with EDFC, 28mm rear sway bar, Cusco braces, Bride ZetaIII driver seat. Will soon be adding SER SpecV Brembos, 17" Enkei RP-F1 wheels, and an SR20DET.

Just sold my 350Z last month due to a job relocation and being an impractical car for my needs. In upcoming month I may be getting a new GMC Colorado 4WD extended cab as a daily driver while prepping my G20 for SCCA events.

Posted by: DiRF Jul 30 2007, 09:31 PM
I have to admit, after all the hype I heard about SR20's, I was kinda disappointed with the performance of the one that's in my car, but I guess that's what ya get with normal aspiration and no variable valve technology sad.gif

It's got some guts, but at low revs it's pretty lethargic.

Good luck on the SR20DET! Are you doing a swap, or just adding a turbo to the stock engine?

I would be doing a full swap however this won't happen til something catostrophic occurs to my SR20DE. The engine is also capable of 270whp+ with the N/A SR20DE. The alternative I've entertained is building my current SR20DE and raise the CR to 11.5:1 and run individual throttle bodies.

Check out www.g20.net if you're looking for things to do with your P10.

I would like to see proof of a SR20DE making that much FWHP. It'd take so many mods and money to get that near 270 hp alone, let alone be making that to the wheels. I can imagine possibly, the SR20VE doing it with exstensive mods and not even being practical for daily driving. Which is what i like about bigger rwd motors. At right around 300 rwhp i still get decent gas mileage and it drives smoother and just as easy as my KA24DE did.

Current vehicles:
1977 Datsun 280Z - currently being overhauled for 3.1L build and all out fun.
1979 Nissan Fairlady 280Z - Next project on the list. Lots of rust, but hey, for $450 I'll take the risk.
1981 Datsun 280ZX - Daily Driver, currently down for cam install and MegaSquirt engine management.

woooow i like the stang and how the pictures are located and i like how you manipulated the last few pics, are you planning to install the ROUSCH body kit?

Posted by: Jon Michael Aug 11 2007, 05:43 PM
If you're gonna install the Rousch body parts, you better do the side-exhaust conversion.

There are 2 REAL Rousch Mustangs in the area. One is owned by a 50 year old guy, and the other by a younger guy (mid-30's). Used to see them parked by Lifetime Fitness.

Grunswald, please please please resize your images... I hate having to scroll sideways just to reach the "Add Post" button, you know. XD 800x600 is a good size to have them at. That way it doesn't affect the forum, they load quickly, and they still look good.

Outlaw-2: If it's in good shape, GO FOR IT! I can't quite tell from the pictures because they're so small, but it would appear that it may have been crashed. The gap between the door and the frame seems abnormal, as does the gap between the headlights and the bumper. But that's looking at low-res photos, so you'd have to inspect the car yourself to find out if that's really the case.

Well I used to have a 1980 Toyota Corolla. Was an awesome little car. 1.3 Litre Carburettor motor. RWD and a 4 speed speed manual gearbox. Had absolutely NO power at all but taught me how to take corners properly. Also it never ever broke, parts were cheap and it was good on fuel.

My current car is a 1990 Holden Commodore. It has a 304ci V8 with 165kw (220hp) at the engine (I've never put it on a dyno to see how much power it has at the wheels) with a 5 speed manual. You have to drive it in the polar opposite method to my old Corolla. It goes like all hell in a straight line but doesn't corner that great (it's all because of the weight)

Put it down the 1/4 mile and it ran a 15.122 @ 92mph (that was stock and also my first time ever at a track) I was stoked when the ole' girl ran that.
