| (I didn't see one anywhere so I started one.)
I have my GC8 for about two or three weeks and I can happily say that its one of my best cars right now. I also have a 600hp/b GDB-C that I'm working on which is also pretty neat. Course, getting used to the different trannies is weird but do-able.
BTW, does anyone have any idea what the aero kits are aside from A, since I believe its the one with the giant foglights on the front. And if so, what do they look like or at least their close RL counterparts.

Sailor is obviously that the impreza is made for rally!!!
And for spike the SVX is good,I have a friend of my that owns a SVX he called's is Batman because the body kit that have on looks awesome plus(obviously)is black the car.Good car for my opinion!!!
And by the way I own a Subaru R2,one of the best subaru's of all time.

|The makers of WMMT 3 I think they where drinking or something because some of Subaru's and Mitsubishi's body kits are horrible specially the Evo's with the big head lights,at least the subaru's head lights looks Better than the evo's because we are more common seeing subaru's with big head lights,I know evo's are common with big head lights in the front but they dont look good in my opinion.|

A: Blind your opponents
B: Blind the traffic into your opponents
C: You think you're cool and in denial that it doesn't create extra HP for your car.
D: Adds extra aerodynamic and less drag pts for your car on the Wangan runs.
BTW, I'm old school I guess. Like the Bunta mobile the most

|i has a GDB-C with 800 horses for mt3 but only drive on 600 so its all grip i cant seem to have the skill to handle the 800 horses i usually hit barriers :S no dress up since i just transfered my file from mt2 - mt3|

|Got to play around with my GDB-C today. Doesn't quite have the feel that my GC8 has. Course my GC8 is 810 while my GDB-C is at 680 or so. But having to deal with the whole 6-speed tranny is still kinda weird for me, especially playing with the Bunta mobile for so long. Couldn't quite beat my touge or the Osaka run too...|

Just started a B4 Legacy the other day and am at 700 horses, im currently using Aero A, Watanabe 8-spokes, and an Original Carbon Bonnet as my set-up, but i was wondering if anyone has a better set-up idea, if you do let me know please.

| Last time i drive an Legacy on MT2.
It was a usual car but it looks more luxury than being a tuner car.
The subaru WRX STI were good at Hakone.

|The CF bonnet are good for the legacy, and i found the Watanabe 8 spokes and the aero a kit was a good set up, but, if your good at drift and your a fan of drifting corners and all, tghe legacy is a good car for you|

|Well I mainly run Osaka and Hakone but it seems to fare pretty well at 740 on C1 as well. Other than that, loathing the big giant one piece bumpers(back and front) and the large foglights w/ corner signals. As I said, a really ugly looking kit, but gave me a 3'55" on Hanshin in TA.|

Btw, I just ran a low 3'53" on Osaka so as far as I can tell, I don't feel much if anything.

then changed to E8 in MT3

Yeah I guess that would be different if you're not used to it. Its great for Hakone also which I managed to squeeze a 2'35" but i dunno. I kinda like it to have the choice of sliding when I need to while being flexible about sticking to the pavement, though i'm pretty sure you'll agree that it depends on your habits too.

I was considering Aero A for a long time, but still thought that it looked too sport compact like so I kept the stock aero. I changed out my mirrors and added glows for distraction Managed to get a 3'52" Osaka and did a 2'35"1xx on Hakone. Too bad that it sucks on Wangan, even with a 4"03".

|Well I do notice a speed lag around 2nd and 3rd gear. Once I hit 4th for several seconds, I tend to somehow slowly gain on people. I think its mainly boost, especially during ghost battles and or people's erratic driving style. Other than that, I don't mind the slow take off, it gives me time to think up a strategy.|

|Well I ran a 2'34" on Hakone, but the worse thing was pulling a 2'33"5xx with a S30. I wish it had some of the oversteer that the S30 has but I guess I'll have to improvise to shave off those extra milliseconds.|

| It's quite hard to catch up when you felled behind for about +/- 200m in Yokohane if you're against good Yokohane players...
But then, it can do wonders in Osaka... Love how it corners gracefully even though you screwed up... =P

|Yeah, its pretty nice and holds its own on Osaka since most people drive Evo 8s and Evo 9s. Though I kinda like the simplicity of the 5-speed tranny even though it loses out in acceleration versus the GDB-C/F and Evos. At least it isn't as bad as the R2 as far as stability, just more in terms of a rock as far as making it slide around a tight s-turn or hairpin.|

Like, whats good and bad about it..
One thing iv noticed, the GC8 has horrible acell during the 2nd, 3rd and 5th gear, but its 4th gear is simply awesome...
And i think my car tends to slide around a buttload, but i think thats just poor drivers skill on my part..
Off the top of my head i got:
Aero Set C
2nd last enkie rims
the spoiler obtained after Aero set C
and the aero mirrors?
Im sorry if im not helpful enough, but yeah, im still new to this lol

It's a 5 gear car, you're probably shifting way too early from 2nd gear to 3rd gear
Ideally your shift from 2nd to 3rd should be between 190km/hr to 195km/hr.
This applies for any 5 gear car.
If you shift like that, you should be able to hold up with other 6 gear cars.

| More or less, he summed it up about right, though I shift either slightly earlier or later depending on the person. Other than that, it should handle at least as well as the Evo 8 and Evo 9. I only say that since its my main car.
As far as the aero kits go, I still use my stock STi aero. Not that there's a problem with any of the aero packages, its more of personal preference and individuality. The behavior though is balanced out though if I'm not mistaken, Aero C is the heaviest out of the three, though there is a separate thread for the aero kits including pictures of how they look.

make sure the shifter is in neutral
highlight the SVX and move the shifter in this sequence: N-6-4-6-4-6-4-6-4-6-4-6-4

|That's too bad. What seems to be the problem with controlling that kind of car? If its the acceleration, I can kinda live with it since I don't really care too much about take off. As far as I know, you don't have to turn much to make the GC8 do wonders, but it depends on what you want it to do. I just mainly slide it around, though the way its setup seems to work best on Hakone; but that's just me. If you want to slide less, I'm pretty sure that Aero C works the best since I'm having trouble with my Corolla sliding like my GC8 despite being two different cars. IDK, the GC8 shouldn't be something that's dreaded, only if it explodes on impact like uh... the pinto??? XD|

Whats the best set up for the GC8?
I was thinkin of changing the Aero kit, as i have it on Aero C, but im torn between the Enkei Rims and the Yokohama rims...which is better?
I also might keep the Wing on it, but im not sure which is the best..
In your opinion Aoshi, which is the best set up for Hakone, and which is the best for everything else, mainly Osaka though...
And which set up is the best overall?
Soz - im asking a lot but yeah, i really want to make my GC8 to live upto my standards, i dnt want it to dissapoint me, which im sorta gettin to the point to...

Carbon Bonnet w/ duct
If I wanted a setup specifically for counter-ramming, I would change the rims to Watanabe Stellars (this will decrease your acceleration tho).

I might change my set up from Aero Set C to A...
I find that acell is toooooo sloowwww and i lose too much speed on the turns, maybe its just that im still a noob, running 2'40 on hakone outbound and 2'38 inbound. Havnt tried Osaka yet, but im sure ill run a slow as time...3'50 is pretty fast!
What are the differences between the three (A,B and C)?

|I dunno if I can answer you on that one, but I saw this kid with a gdb-c and he kicks ass at our arcade. He kept winnin and winnin and winnin. No one could beat him on any stage, even with his friend drivin the car, it still won. Hakone, Osaka, C1, Wangan..... It was sooo funny cos one dude with his s33z, kept losin to this lil kid and eventually the kid n his friend left. So yer.... take what you want from that. But I was convinced after seeing this kid that a gdb-c can easily defeat an s33z.|

I think its cuz it doesnt have as much acell and grip as the supposed godly GDB-F and to a lesser extent, GDB-C...
But i find that its an average car i guess...just need some tunning love and know how to get it to roar i guess lol

Its only good at hakone, but even so, its not even good at all, too much grip and yeh...too much is not enough and is real bad...
Its so heavy, it kills acell T_T...

o if acceleration is a problem with the gc8. I recommend lik aero kit A with yokohama rims. I guess the Super Advanced (Racing v2) (lvl 5) would fit it perfectly. OR you can go for the Watanabe 8 Spoke. (lvl 3) Also giv it a carbon ducted bonnet (lvl 26). A 3D wing (lvl 17) and Aero mirrors at lvl 30. Try that out for size.

GC8 handles the best, at the cost of slower/lack of speed.
GDBF and C performs around the same, but IMHO the F has a lil faster accel on straight compared to the C.

wow you got the yokohama TCII for your GC8? That is good! But if you can bother to unlock the Yokohama TGIIs, which are lvl 39s. Then your GC8 would be awesome. Right now you are at level 34, as you just unlocked the double flames, so just 5 more levels and you will have awesome wheels.

lol durh! Havent you even read the wmmt3 website. It says it that the gdb-c is in rival to evo8 and gdb-f is in rival to evo9. The funny things is that they are in rivals.
evo 8 = great top speed & good handling.
evo 9 = great handling & good top speed.

I saw a GDB-F drive the other day, i must say that its very very solid in its handling, in that it does wat the driver wants and its responce in turns is awesome..and the acell is great, maybe due to its 6-gears

MY DREAM IS TO BE HOKAGE!... ...but since i cant do that, a '35 in hakone both ways and a '00 in Osaka are my goals!
Update on the GC8's Acell, with the right aero kit and wheels, its acell could rival the evo and GDB-F/C...maybe be a fraction slower, but when ur racing, its upto other variables to decide whos faster right?

that is because it is a very new car and it is just an awkward car. Cos it is like a normal car you see on the streets that you dont tend to think should be modified. But I think that is all wrong... any car can be modified and I think will look good.

I never thought anyone considered the GC8 Impreza as a top tier. Most people around me always assumed it to be 2nd tier. But I dunno, its probably my best car right now; does decently enough on all the courses for me. Still trying to break out of that "out of practice" funk.

I personally haven't lost faith in mine yet, just sometimes when I haven't been playing for a while, I kinda forget what i'm supposed to do. Though I've been told that my setup slides out a lot, which seems to suit just fine for the technical turns of Hakone.
BTW, GC8 has a slower acceleration compared to GDB-C/F(And Evo 8 & 9) but has a stronger 3rd and 4th gear. Its something that becomes more apparant when its full tuned.
From what the FAQ and other threads suggest, Stock or Aero C I guess but for the GC8, Aero C looks like some weird SpoCom monstrosity that someone made while they were drunk. I used it for a while but I dunno...

Yeah, full tune at least one of your cars and then consider about making another one. Two of mine are already full tune with one more car 7 stages away from being number three. GDB-C and GDB-F are both good cars and behave in a similar fashion where as the GC8 is somewhat different in terms of handling and the unique acceleration of a 6-speed transmission. But which ever one you choose, make sure you full tune it, otherwise, you're not seeing the potential of what it can do.

Im not too sure about aero kits, but C is most likely the heaviest, so if u feel it slides too much, change it to that, A provides more acell but at the cost of being more slidey and B may be more stable on straights, but at the cost of acell and handling..
Mind u these are MINOR adjustments, of maybe 10% to all parameters at the most lol...
As for tires, Go to the wheels guide on the main page and search the last 2 pages of the type of tires is good for what, if memory serves me right, enkei's are good for handling and Yoko is good for All round...just check on the page...
Personal preference is the RCII by yoko - good wheel for handling, but the Enkeis are also good...just check that guide for something u want lol...
As i said, it all depends on personal preference...the wheels require the less amount of caution, as u can change them every 2 or so levels...The aero kits are the most cautious, make sure u like the look of them before u change, since ur gunna be stuck with them for a VERY long time, same with the hood and mirror, the rear wing is in between, but check the dress up level guide for more information.

I've tried the Legacy already.
Its' acceleration is equivalent as an FD, but handles as good as the CT9A-8MR.
Because of the "slim" body, the Legacy could slip between 2 cars easily, but it doesn't lose the ability to "push" opponents car.

| I've only raced against a Legacy, even then it was a ghost battle. But from what I can tell, if you can control it, it handles pretty decently on Hakone as well. Not sure how well it does on the other courses overall, but I guess I can assume that its not that much of a difference compared to the GC8 & GDB-C/F.
As far as the people asking about dress up specs, go out there and experiment. There is "NO" best setup since it only affects the behavior of the car and not to mention that some people don't even know what they want their car to do. Honestly, I'd just try out one setup, and just keep going at it till I find something that fits my style.
Btw, as far as the Bunta mobile is on the topic, I wouldn't mind a coupe version of the GC8 or even the 22B. But the Version.VI is as close as you're going to get, except that it has an extra set of doors. Aside from the weight, there's not much difference except cosmetically and probably the tuning of the EJ20 since Bunta's car is "fictional" though it does have the STi/22B Front end.

Oh well the GC8G is good enough i guess, but im just gunna call it the GC8, same concept and looks so yeah, aside from the doors as Aoshi pointed out, there looks to be no difference.

Aoshi - can u offer any tips for better times on Osaka and Hakone? I think im shifting down to 3rd to much on both...whats the ideal shift down point in either?
Currently i shift down in osaka when speed goes under 240 and in Hakone under 170 or in tight turns, most notabily the conseq S turns.
Is that too high to drop it down a gear?

IMHO, you don't need the 3rd gear on Osaka.
For my type of driving on Hakone, i put my gear into 3rd only on a few turns that is really tight. I think there are 3 turns that needs 3rd gear on both Hakone Inbound / Outbound.
But from what I've heard from a few Hakone pros, 5-geared car only needs to shift down to 4 in Hakone. So, you don't need the 3rd gear. But, I found it quite hard not to shift down to 3, as my exit speed is still slow on those corners, and if I didn't put my gear into 3, i would lose the optimum acceleration of my car.
I'm still waiting for my LEGACY to be Fully-tuned though.. I asked my friend to FT it in Indonesia, so that I could save lots of money.. (around 40c/game in Jakarta, and $2/game in Sydney...)

Theres 2 places in osaka where you go down to 3rd gear in a 5 gear car.
The first red right turn in CP1.
The first red right turn in CP4.
As for Hakone, you only use 3rd for the 3 red turns. But even then, you can stick to 4th gear without any problems. It is not necessary to use 5th gear.

GDBC has a more powerful 5th gear than the GDBF.
GDBF has a more powerful 6th gear than the GDBC, but both cars are generally weak in top gear.
Both cars will slide, but GDBF will regain grip faster than the GDBC.
Both cars are very good and are capable of setting WR. Go try both on official machine and decide which one you like better.

From memory, the GDBf = E9 and GDBc = E8
Comparing the GDBf to GDBc
G-fs have a weaker 6th gear - Good handling, great acell cuz of 6 gears
G-cs have a weaker 5th gear - Good handling, great acell cuz of 6 gears
But these are minor differences
Ideally, the F is better than C, but practically for u, depends what u want outta ur car...

what rims you'll use depends on you... what you like your car to handle like... same as the kits/bonnet...
even if someone else here were to comment and say what they like, its no guarantee it'll work for you.
I'd suggest you try it out yourself, to find the best combination
(Personally though, from playing around with my team's gdb-c... WRC tarmac wheels, Aero A, gt-straight, carbon ducted bonnet)

Hah, also my main car.
Here's what I can say about the Alcyone SVX;
It probably has the highest top speed in the game, but you have to be very steady to use it properly. The 4 spd is a let down for some, but if you think about it, that means you only have 2 gears you need to work with once you start racing. 3 for cornering, 4 for straightaways. Very quickly you realize how destructive this car can really be. Another nice thing is it's pretty much impervious to collisions. Other players just waste their time when they try and push you around.
But feel free to think it's icky and not use it, it's lack of player is what makes it cool.
Also I've gotten mine up to 352km/h. You have to drive pretty much a perfect line on the wangan straight to achieve that kind of speed. Most people don't even know there is a line on the wangan.

boost doesn't change your speedo, it just makes you go faster. Your speed will remain the "same"
and if you can hit 352, Alcyone's will be ruling the wangan times. instead, there are only 4 or 5 up there.

lol, now I'm inclined to do it again, however my path was not NewCircular, we were on yokohane north, we came over on the rainbow bridge, ooi I believe, we came down the ramp there heading south on wangan, at the bottom of the first tunnel is where I hit it. It struggled at 350, made 351, and I caught a glimpse of 352 before it started going down.
Whatever though, what's my one freak account when compared to some guy no one's ever met who tested the car a full 10 times?

If a person who has boost hits him from behind, the speedometer will act like that since you're not on boost so it will show the "real" speed. I've gone 350 many times in battle because of that.

I guess the first thing u gotta do is decide what u wanna do with the car itself, as in, make it faster in the straights but slide more, or slower in straights but slide less...
It all depends on ur drive style...and the cars specs...
but that sounds like a good set up for battle, but be careful with rammers, as ur settings will give u mild protection...but then again, defensive driving can counter that
Go the GT straight wing, its a good wing for turning, but i have no idea wat it does for acell and top speed...my guess is that it lowers it slightly

Having a TA set up just for one course is pretty lame IMO...u wanna just have one set up thats very flexible...
Although, since u wanna specialize in yoko, Aero B looks alright for u...apparently its the best for all scoobys despite its looks...
GT straight wing, Carbon hood and the previously mentioned rims would be alright for yoko...but if u get challenged on another course, u COULD be in trouble...
Most people would agree that having a single set up for all courses is the best way to go, gives u flexibility for everything
