Basically, simple as the thread's name. Post your favourite car, pics if you have any, or found any, and why you love this car. Any car from any era or manufacturer is welcome, from the Ford model T, to the Buggati Veyron. I'll start it off.

My favourite car is 1989 Nissan Silvia K's.

Why? It's got a sexy body, it's lightweight, and it's CA18DET engine puts out a good amount of power. Just enough to have fun. It's not a car you can break lap records in, but it's a car that just loves to have fun. That's what's really important. The CA18DET is stronger than bricks, it's not as light as the SR20, but it's basically an RB20 with 2 cylinders chopped off so it'll take a lot more abuse than the SR20. It's a car known for it's ability for getting sideways, but most of all, I like this car because of it's versatility. You can make this car into anything you want basically, the sky's the limit. You can make a road rally monster, or a drag racer, show pony, or a drift pig, whatever you feel like. There's so many parts available for this car it's not funny. That's why the humble S13 will always have a place in my heart.

sorry to say it that way but thats bullshit! the ca18 is a weak engine because of many different things its not nearly as strong as any RB or the SR20(the Sr20 is actually heavier) maybe the head design is better and the iron block stronger but whats in the block just isnt.
Here in germany the RS13 only came with the CA18 finding one without engine failure or no 2nd engine or turbo is really hard and that doesnt really depent on the milage of the car.
Believe me you are better of with a sr20

Ah, well it's a matter of opinion, I'm basing what I'm writing from tech sheets and magazines etc. I'm still saving up to buy my own one so I'll find out soon enough. The fact is though, coming back to the diversity of the S13, is that it's not uncommon for the CA18 to come out anyway. You can put all sorts of engines in an S13. RB engines being some of the most common swaps. But yeah, don't take what I say too seriously, I haven't had really enough time around engines to be an expert.

no offense taken but one of the main problem of the ca18 is its crankshaft which isnt fully counterweighted it only has 1 counterwight for each cylinder making it revier but causing to much strain on the bearings, as far as i know there is also a problem with the oil supply which often results in a broken turbo (can be changed with the installation of new oil lines to the turbo)

(i could go deeper into the details but my english is not good enough i just dont know the right words to descirbe it)

I also just remembered a very old best motoring episode(or video option ? from the early 90ies) i saw on youtube in which they compared the stock 180sx and FC3s i think and other cars i cant remember anymore but what i still remember is that the ca18 180sx broke down in the test
i just tried to find the video but i couldnt find it, it was probably already removed

Edit: i totally forgot to mention that i like the s13 silvia pretty much to wink2.gif
but for me to pick a favorite car is totally impossible i just cant decide which one i like the most there are so many different cars i really like

My favorite FF car would have to be a Celica GTS with a yamaha block, though my AWD choice would be a Subaru 22B. FR wise, I'd probably go with a Lexus SC300.

im into older generation cars just becuase of the wide variety of parts around.
my first project is a MT 1988 Chevy Camaro i-roc z. body/paint/rims/interior already came in custumized but i got it cheap because the whole internal (chassis, transmission, undercarriage, and everything) is original. so... it isnt running good. $$$ on prolly the whole engine lol

BMW M3 Evolution-I (E36 S52B32)

Great Handling , 315hp , Coupe , SEXY !!

if you slaps something like Supercharger (Compressor) that give you 400hp - 420hp

if you installed new Exhaust&Mulffer, Air filters that give you 460 - 480hp

so .. BMW IS FERRARI KILLER !!

depends on the ferrari...lol

mine would probably be a Mazda Spirit R, and of course the Nissan 432R.

The FD, because of its great power/weight...and it's suspension design. The 432R because of the nostalgia, and because the entire car was a race purpose built car. Nothing wasted, and can still compete fairly competitively with modern cars.

1991 Subaru Legacy SS. I frickin love that car to death... it's light, nimble, and STi parts bolt into it. Plus everybody thinks it's a grandma car, which makes it a wonderful sleeper. I want my next car to be one. Oh yeah and I'm particular on the year for two reasons... for one, 1991 was the last year of the pre-facelift nose and tail (post-facelift makes it look like a Nissan Maxima), and for two, the '91 SS had a rear viscous LSD.

All rounder affordable car: Mazda 6 (comfortable and surprisingly good even though I thought it was crap)

FF: Audi TT (2.0L Turbo one...not the crappy V6 plus I never liked the Hondas...too safe...)

FR: The Mazda RX8, the Nissan 350Z, the BMW M3, the Mercedes Benz C63 AMG (that is one crazy motherf*cker of a car), the Toyota Supra, the Lexus IS300/IS350, the Aston Martin V8 Vantage (that glorious V8 wail...)

AWD: Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X (sharp and focused as F-22 Raptor...), Nissan GT-R (the Japanese Euro killer is back...), Audi TT-S (believe me, the Quattro system is brilliant), Mazda 6 MPS (alright, it's not a full AWD but it grips like bubblegum on your bloody shoe...)

RR: Only one, the Porsche 911 GT3 (the GT2 is too F**King crazy and is a bit skittish on wet...)

Watch out for the German makers. BMW and Mercedes Benz have a thing now that will erase the ECU if you pop the hood. Stupid I think. Also VW/Audi are hard to work on because of the crapped space and hardly any clearance to get parts off. Trust me I worked at a mechanic shop and VW was a pain.

That's probably why they have aftermarket tuners as well such as Hamann and as well as Brabus. Yeah, I know how you feel on the VW/Audi tuning. But luckily, we've got an in-house tuner for that tongue.gif
