I actually started to use AT when I first played WMMT 3. But ome to think of it, using MT would be a little useful. That's when someone talk to me....said that it would be more chllenging to use MT. I told him "what for?" using AT is much more troublesome-free. He said must be patient....practice it by staring off to challenge someone noob. Now using MT eally changed my style of driving. Oh yes, I have one quesion (not regarding abt his post)

Q:I usually see ppl have choices of DG,D,B,G and HG. How do they get that kind of thingy...?

MT is better, you can control the car exactly how you want it to handle

with AT, sometimes they make you go into a lower gear than necessary, and thus make you slower.

with auto, sometimes, when you lose speed, it doesnt gear down for a bit and takes a while to respond so you lose quite gained from the lower gear when you can gain it back faster with manual.

i use 740/B in C1, 760/D in NBL, wangan depends on the person im racing cuz some of them might go straight others may not, yokohane depends on which ramp, osaka 760 and hakone 760.. thats what i usually use but idk... \

imo MT ftw... its easier to control ur car like XEO said.. wen ur about to hit a wall most ppl shift down and counter steer and they dnt hit it.. its also an alternative to braking as in cutin off some speed but nawt drasticlly...

MT>AT, MT is more fun, while like xeo said, AT doesnt shift at the right time, its either too early or too late or whatever..i tried auto a few time, when guest left after battles, and i hated it. been drivin MT in every car racing game i play.

As everyone said, MT unless you need it for certain cars such as the 4 gear cars in which AT is a better bet/training wheels for them.

I also started off using AT, all the way through WMMT2, but switched over to MT when I transferred my card to WMMT3 when I took my boyfriend's advice. It took some getting used to at first, but I find it much more fun and challenging than AT where you're reduced to just gas and brake pedals. Besides, you can always switch back with the options menu. My advice: find someone to teach you how use MT in the game instead of just randomly fishing someone to figure it out. This way they can provide you a guideline for shift points, etc..
When I started out, my boyfriend would either shift for me if I didn't notice something and thus learn from my mistake, or he would tell me what gears I can use for certain turns in the game. Since then, I've figured it out some things for myself and I find the game to be more challenging because I get to try new things instead of 'brake here, gas here, brake again' and so on. Plus, I've improved from being a below average player to an average player. happy.gif XD

heres my rule, luxury cars i go with AT, sometimes MT if its a sporty luxury like AMG or M3 etc. but if its a pure sports car i go with MT, or paddle shift if its paddle shift only. therefore when i started playing MT and any racing game, i went MT.

@hengjxj most players played MT than AT, but some players have to play AT due to shifter problem or other issues.

IMO if a player can use AT and win in battle its quite a achievement.

for your question of DG (Dangerous), D (Drift), B(balanced), G (Grip) and HG(High Grip)

as the names suggests they are the ratio of Power vs Handling. More handling more grip, More power more dangerous. This indirectly explain your question.

For most of the players here, they tend to use D and DG for obvious reasons.

Bless

wangan midnight maximum tune chapter 19[/URL]Oh....thanks for replying...Sry to ask this question, but I am sure that this is not posted yet in one of the threads...ok the question is: Do you guys remember stage 19 during the beginner's tuning.....cos' now I'm 580HP using my R33GT-R BNR34 and then I found it extremely hard to conquer this stage.I noticed it's in C1. There's lots of curves and bends...I know that's alright for me. But I only have 1 isiotic problem that is the number of NAMCO cars and trucks. I suspect I drifted too much then I banged on 1 of them.....BAD DAY mad.gif

Here's the link\:CHapter 19
