I was wondering why people use multiple bottles of N.O.S in there cars. Like the manager of my local games store, he drives a WRX, he has a 50 spray and a 250 spray. What's the deal with that??

Well I will attempt to answer this to the best of my abilitys. I have minor knowledge into the workings of NOS and what I dont know I get information from a fellow tuner in my squadron.

Now in the situation for the manager, one reason for using mulitiple bootles is conserving wheel spin. Using a straight 300 shot of Nitrous at the launch will cause way too much wheel spin. So in his case, he could use the 50 shot at the launch to get up to a high speed and then use the 250 shot with minor wheel spin. They have Traction Control Window Switche systems now for use with Nitrous now that at certain RPMs it will spray a certain amount. So at the launch at 3000 RPM you have a minimal spray of 30-50 and then as you climb in speeds and RPM your shot increases.

Hopefully that gives you a little bit more insight into it. I wouldnt really pay attention too much on how the media(movies, video games, etc) depicts Nitrous. If used correctly its quite safe and you can attain serious numbers.

Unless you're at the track, avoid "NOS" like the plague. There is no reason a street car should have "NOS". It is simply the shortcut to real tuning and performance.

Please don't call it NOS. Please use the proper term of "nitrous" or "nitrous oxide".

It does make a difference. When you call it "NOS", you sound like a ignorent kid who only knows about cars from watching tv and movies. Im saying this, because this is were the majority of the people get the idea about nitrous. From movies. I understand that the people here have this negative idea on the subject of this performance, BUT it is not a bad idea. All it is, is a different approach to performance. Tuners still put time and money into there engines, and also us nitrous.

Im not trying to attack anyone's previous posts, Im just making a point. I feel as if some people really dont know much about nitrous systems.

I know that Nitrous was given the lable NOS by ricerboys. I just use the word coz its faster to type. I know that NITROUS does boost a car's overall performance. But its still frowned uppon in street cars because its just a shortcut for doing any real engine work to your Civic yo. It should really only be used in drag cars and other professional racing cars. It should really stop there.

You only sound ignorant if you type it nos, if you add the quotes around it "NOS" it totally changes everything. For reference, whenever I say it irl I say it with a sarcastic tone and say it more like "NOZZZ".

LOL,"NOZZZ"...Anyway, I just thought it was implyed that I ment nitrous. I just thought of it as a shorter way of typing it. I guess people may say only fanboys say it like that, but I when it comes from someone who knows what their talking about, its ok,I guess? I do agree that its a way of skirting around real engine tuning, but its still a cool feeling when you give it a nice shot and start sinking into your seat! One last thing, does anyone else find it retarded to purge you "NOS"?...Just seems like a stupid way to "try" and look cool. At the least a waste of money...

It is incredibly stupid to purge your "NOZZZ", how much is it to refill like a ton? Especially, when they make CO2 purge kits that look the exact same, and you can go refill it at stores for like $3-5.

In my oppinion it's pretty stupid to purge anything from your engine. Be it "NOZZZOMG" or C02. Makes your car look like a steam train...

Ooh going for a run on the wangan, better fill er up with coal

How did this topic go from "Difference in N.O.S" to "Rant about N.O.S"?
