So the release of KH2: FM+ happened yesterday and its already well over 100,000 copies sold. Im assuming a lot of them came from imports seeing as KH:FM was and never is going to be released stateside. That and people are assuming the same with this Final Mix. Japan is rare is to release "Director Cut" games to America.

I personally have imported it and should be receiving it sometime today. If people are interested in the title and are novice in the importing scene and want to see if its worth it I'll attempt to put up pics and give feedback on the title.

KH is a great series and I think Square Enix and Disney went out on a limb over this crossover but somehow it worked out. Hopefully more from the series is in store for the future. I can wait another 4-5 years for another title. laugh.gif

Its still unconfirmed if it will make it to the states. There are rumors on the net that it will be released in the Fall of 07, but Square-Enix has no made any announcements.

The new scenes are unfortunately not dubbed in English and only have the japanese subtitles. Some of the new scenes include conversations between Organization XIII members, between points in the storyline. I myself havent finished the game yet, and about halfway through the game right now in Proud Mode. Its proving to be difficult at times, especcially attempting to do the extra Organization fights early on in the game. I am waiting to see the extra secret ending in this Final Mix. Im doing my best to keep from looking at it online. laugh.gif

Yeah, right...I'll believe that, "when me shit turns purple, and smells like rainbow sherbert." Seeing as how Square-Enix has said over and over again that they are keeping Sony it's main RPG engine in the future, since when they tried Nintendo again Crystal Chronicles and that other RPG for gamecube they did pretty bad. And, any of the rare times they release a game for Nintendo in the past there's been MAJOR coverage of it, because everyone is getting off to the hope that Square-Enix might decide to go back to Nintendo...but, it's not going to happen. And, I have yet to hear anything like that from ALL of my gamer friends.

I remember the crazy stories I heard right after Final Mix was released for the first KH. Everyone talking about the new game...and it ended up not being like a single one of the stories.

Also, Square-Enix has a little poll thing online they released to gauge interest in whether a stateside version would be sought of Final Mix+.

Sorry to be the first to inform you, but that was a early April Fools joke posting by EGM. Heres a copy of the article confirming it..

QUOTE

An exclusive first look for what appeared to be a spin-off in the Kingdom Hearts series, that was to be released in 2008. It was an exclusive Wii game named "Mushroom Kingdom Hearts", featuring over 41 ( 4 as in April, 1 as in 1st) Nintendo characters and characters from the first two games in the series. The article was complete with artwork of a re-designed Mario holding a golden keyblade. Sora and King Mickey are pictured with him. Accompanying this picture was an image of a Mushroom with the Kingdom Hearts crown symbol on its head. EGM has confirmed in their March 26, 2007 podcast that the article was in fact the year's April Fool's joke, commenting on how the Mario design was a photoshopped image of the Super Mario Sunshine artwork.

I feel for those who were fooled.

And Jon Michael, whats with this talk of Square-Enix and Nintendo? Besides Crystal Chronicles(which a sequal is being released for the Wii), Nintendo and Square-enix seem to be working quite well together, regardlesso of coverage. Final Fantasy Tactics Advance sold very well and being a GBA game, it was not under "MAJOR" coverage. Also there releasing a FFXII spin-off for the DS entitled "FFXII Revenant Wings". And another FFTA is going to be released for the DS as well. Least we not forgot both Seiken Densetsu series games that were released on the GBA and DS. They even have another Seiken Densetsu game coming out on the DS entitled, "Heroes Of Mana"

To me, it looks like Square-Enix and Nintendo seem to be getting along just fine. But thats just one gamers opinion..

Handheld is entirely different engine from the new gen consoles. The Gameboy is the most wellknown handheld device, and the fact that there are only spin-offs and remakes coming out for it is another thing. I didn't say Square-Enix and Nintendo were NEVER going to work together again. But, it has been stated that Square-Enix will keep Sony as it's major engine. There maybe 1-2 games released for a Nintendo console...but, it will never be the amount that will be released on a Sony console. And, that's just a fact.

Final Mix+ has already been released in Japan on March 29. Its still in the air if it will be released stateside.

On another note I defeated the ES on Proud Mode. It was quite a difficult fight. Im attempting all of the RE fights for the Organization XIII members. Im unsure though if I have to beat all the paradox cups to "full clear" all the worlds. The requirements to get the secret secret ending on proud is, beat all the organization members, clear the worlds, and beat the ES.

Frequently Asked KH Questions

Will there be a Kingdom Hearts III?

It’s currently unknown whether there will be another game named “Kingdom Hearts”, but Tetsuya Nomura has stated there will be a “New Series” as a side-story to Kingdom Hearts.

When will Kingdom Hearts III (or the next game) be released?

Also unknown. The next game should be announced at the Tokyo Game Show 2007.

What console will it be on?

A Square-Enix Marketing Manager claimed it would be on PlayStation 3. Tetsuya Nomura has said he’s looking into making it multi-platform, but is uncertain yet. As Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+ has been confirmed to be Nomura’s last game for PlayStation 2, any future games will NOT be on PlayStation 2.

Will Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+ and/or Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix be released outside of Japan?

At the beginning of the year, Square-Enix confirmed they had no plans to release the Final Mixes outside of America after Electronic Gaming Monthly Magazine spread rumours about it being released in Fall 2007. These are JUST rumours. Later in the year, a Square-Enix Marketing Manager claimed that there will be a surprise for America and Europe later at the end of this year. This isn’t confirmation of anything, but also someone from the Square-Enix Public Relations Team mentioned that the large amount of fans contacting them for them to be released in America, Europe and elsewhere is not going unnoticed.

Hopefully this answered some peoples questions.
