This is pretty much my favourite Japanese car of all time. Closely followed by the KPGC10 Skyline. I'm not a Nissan fanboy by any measure - I'm not a fanboy of any particular brand, as they all rule and suck in equal measure - but the Z is just a phenomenal looking car. I always prefer them with a bit of tweaking (different rims, a very slight bodykit, and preferably a bigger engine), but they're just gorgeous.

It's painful to have such delicious delights stored on my PC, definitely. But as I intend to eventually buy a rusty old Z and rebuild it, they make for good inspiration! wink2.gif

Here is the link on the whole build process for the VH45

Its a shame that you cant see more of these cars. The guy with the SR20 swap lives near me locally. Many of those pictures were taken at the Japanese Classic Car Show
http://www.japaneseclassiccarshow.com/

Toyota has brought out a couple of their 2000GT's!!!
I love that car.

Austin Hoke's 240 featured in TunerZine and in the first post on this thread is getting an LS-1. The turbo sharded something and he's decided to drop a V-8 in. Sad to see the L- go but his V-8 should really romp!

Sigh I wish I had $4k ATM, so that I could buy a really nice 240Z I saw on sale (it's a white '72 240Z, which is a definite plus here in California, as it's old enough to evade smogging entirely!)

It is on Craigslist... that's where I first saw his ad... I've visited it though, and it's real nice looking. I do have to work on the motor some, but I already figured on that anyways: he listed that he's already got a replacement motor on hand and that's in the sale price (it's getting sold with the car so that the car is basically ready to go, aside from a little bit of greasemonkey work needed).

when i was searching for a car quite a few months ago, i must have seen like 5 240z's. they were like fully restored, weekend cars shifty2.gif very nice cars, and they were like 4k-5k

Word of advice is when shopping for a first generation Z. Make sure its not a rust bucket. It took me 2 years to completely demolish the rust out of this car changing, dog legs, patches, floors, rear panel, fenders, rocker panel, etc. THis car is 90% rust free. Whatever is left is in the engine bay which is not too much. Heres a picture for this thread and a demonstration
