I was randomly reading the wiki page on Cowboy Bebop just now and can across this little speck of info:

"Cowboy Bebop will return to [Adult Swim] on May 19th, 2007. It will be the replacement of Samurai Champloo."-Wikipedia

My schools network wont let me get to the Adult Swim home page to look up the schedule and see if it it true, I'd ?appresheate? if someone could confirm this for me. I know Samurai Champloo comes on late Saturday nights(Its the only show besides Futurama I watch on AD) if that helps. I really hope it does, I've been dying to see a revival of an amazeing show.

Im 99.9% that it is accurate. Ive read it before as well, and saw something of the sort on the Adult Swim website.

The show has ran on AS various times and it wouldnt surprise me if they brought it back again.

Oh yah, this is not my first time watching Cowboy Bebop, I used to watch it on AD when it had its first run, it's just they havent had a run of it in years. Samurai Champloo is an amazeing show, it's just that it's been on the Late Saturday night line up for like 2 yrs strait. I just really wanted to see a nice comeback for Bebop, it seems like not enough people know about it. But then again, I really dont want it to turn into a Trigun situation, where every anime "Fanboy" has Bebop shirts and bags constantly...

p.s.- Now that I think about it, the shows been along for so long, I think that may have happened like 5yrs ago!

Samurai Champloo...hey, let's rip Cowboy Bebop off and set it in edo period Japan. Because, THAT time period isn't done every other week in anime.

Cowboy Bebop is great, tho. I haven't seen it in a while...they should bring back Outlaw Star as well. Not the BEST show, but it was pretty enjoyable.

But why take Samurai Champloo out? ohmy.gif That's like one of the best shows! Well, other than Bleach and Blood....They should put in Gantz.

Best shows? Compared to what? There are a lot of other anime out there that have been around a lot longer than Samurai Champloo and are better. The only reason I watched Samurai Champloo is because of Shinichiro Watanabe, who also did Cowboy Bebop.

And if Samurai action is your thing, I recommend watching Samurai 7. A great anime based off the original Akira Kurosawa movie, Seven Samurai.

They take it out, because if it ran alongside Cowboy Bebop people would realise that it sucks compared to the original masterpiece that is Cowboy Bebop.

It's not that good at all. Kinda like how Samurai X is a masterpiece, and then they slaughtered and ruined the entire idea with the worst ever...Ruroni Kenshin.

I dont understand what you mean by this comment? Rurouni Kenshin is the original. Samurai X, which is the americanized name to the series, is a OVA based off of it.

Rurouni Kenshin: Tsuiokuhen(Known as Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal) is just re-telling events from the manga. Same thing with Samurai X: Reflection.

So Im wondering how they "slaughtered and ruined" a series?

Samurai X had amazing characters and an incredible atmosphere to it. Romantic stories from Edo period Japan. The series was complete and utter shit because Kenshin was basically a retarded goofball/clone of Vash the Stampede. Only thing is, it worked in Trigun...NOT in Rurouni Kenshin. And, I know Kenshin came first...it still didn't work in it at all.

Samurai X will always be 100x better than that terrible series. I'm NOT saying the series came along and destroyed it AFTER. I'm saying the ova is great and the very existence of the series slaughters the beautiful world they created with the ova. They should have made the series that way in the first place, instead of making an ova with a different approach to the story.

Then again, hardly anyone I've run into knows the ova anyways. Seeing as how they just watch whatever's on cartoon network blindly and don't bother to find anime for themselves.

Hell, Powerpuff Girls Z is better than Rurouni Kenshin.

Pretty much the same for me tongue.gif

I honestly don't watch adult swim broadcasts of Anime... I'm a sub-fan (but I do turn on the English language track on my DVDs ever so often to check out the dub, and Cowboy Bebop's, I admit, is fantastic.)

I second Samurai 7. Once ppl see this.....forget all the other ones laugh.gif

Cowboy Bebop is a good anime, but you tend to get tired after watching so many re-runs.

They should come up with some new comedy ones. Futurama and Family Guy, getting kind of bored after watching the same episodes for a year over and over again. Love Hina should be one of the replacements laugh.gif

Oh God, Pierrot Le Fou.... that is one creepy-ass episode. Apparently, the whole theme park scene at the end of the episode, that was an homage to Bruce Timm's Batman: The Animated Series, which Sunrise had worked on.

Heh there's a lot creepier than CB out there but I like how when the theme was spooky there was still lots of action to keep true to the genre. Pierrot Le Fou... man... squished in the happiest place on... hey.. where is. "SPACE LAND" anyway? lol

cowboy bebop simply 1 of the greatest anime I ever enjoyed. I like every character in the series and even the soundtracks are good. The jazz music simply is the ideal for the anime and the story line is exciting.... I wonder in future there will be a sequel or another movie. SEE YA AROUND SPACE COWBOY,,,,,
