Well, after being rather influenced by Shutokou Battle 01(TXR3), and Wangan Midnight, I thought I gave a shot at writing my own variant of a racing story that consisted of the Shutokou Highway. Well, after remaking the story once again, well... Have a read, and do comment. If I had placed the thread at the wrong section, please do move it to the appropriate area.

Prologue

1999…

Midnight; traffic on the highways of Tokyo, Japan, was only filled with illegal street racers, waiting for one racer. The one that defeated every single opponent in his way. The one that took the throne as the king of Tokyo Highway, also known as the Shutokou, after defeating the former that drove the dated black Nissan S30Z. The one, that many feared.

Then, silence conquered the highways without warning. A faint grumble was heard, that grew, and grew, into a vile, demonic roar. As the coupe switched gears, pressured air rushed out from the blow-off with a loud, high pitched whistle before it whined again, sucking in the air. The blood red coupe took shape as it blew past the intersection. A Nissan Skyline R34, no, a Nissan Skyline R34 look-alike with cursive writings on both sides of the doors that spelled out “Tommykaira” that was supported by four tyres with stock, six-spoke gold-orange rims. One may pass those off as visual upgrades, but not its rear spoiler. The design was simply out of the ordinary; a carbon fibre box spoiler supported and drilled in a GT1 manner. No one could tell how the downforce was, but many believed it was a twisted spoiler; one moment, it glues the car to the grainy tarmac, and another moment, provided none at all.

Under the hood lies a heavily modified RB26DETT engine raking up 880HP that even reaching 300kmh is a piece of cake. Many racers would call the engine as the RB-DEVIL for no apparent reason, but believed that its acceleration produced was defied the laws of physics. The coupe then disappeared into the night, as if an evil entity had consumed it whole. Racers constantly tried searching for it, even by means of destroying their companions called cars to find it. Even if one were to meet it somewhere along the highway, it was too risky a chance to go against it; it meant a sure defeat for them.

Tommykaira R was the name of the ruler’s car. No one knows the driver’s name, except for the spreading rumours, saying it belonged to a Katsushiro family in the residential area of Tokyo, most probably in Meguro. But before they could dig up more information, the Tommykaira R ceased to appear in the highways. As people would say, rumours spread even faster than the truth. However, it was deemed redundant.

The truth of the disappearance of the demonic Tommykaira R; the family knew, but kept to themselves. It was confirmed, the Tommykaira R was haunted, dangerous, and simply too powerful to even exist. As such, it was locked in the garage, where it was modified. Where it first arrived and where it ended. The driver took a good look at his devilish companion for the final time and muttered out.

“Wait. Wait till there is someone else fated to be by your side. To be your new driver and show every racer, that you, Tommykaira R aka Berserker R, with the license plate number 6-66, is the most feared Skyline in the racing world. Farewell, my good friend, farewell…”

That was seven years ago. The driver disappeared without a trace, no where to be found. The Katsuhiro family moved out, leaving the keys to the garage on one of the built-in shelves, and even tagged it with ‘Cursed Car Garage’, in a bed room facing where ‘the garage’ is. Hence, as a new boarder rents the apartment and settles down, so does this story…

1st Stage
2006

The highways of Tokyo were drenched; resulting a drop in traction. The drivers in civilian cars took caution and slowed down as the rain poured till visibility was a mere two metres. However, there were two. Two cars battling out to show whom was faster. A white coupe entered the tunnel first followed by a violet luxury sedan that almost lost control at the intersection earlier on. Even though it had a front engine, front wheel drivetrain, compared to the opponent’s front engine, rear wheel drive layout, the white coupe had more grip. The driver in the white Honda hammered the brakes before the corner came. Its rear began to slide outwards due to lack of traction while the front wheels desperately attempts to get the grip of the wet asphalt, though not on full throttle.

The violet Toyota Aristo braked a little too late and found itself careening for the powersliding Honda Prelude. The frantic driver in the luxury sedan pulled the handbrakes and tried to steer away from the white Honda to avoid collision. But due to its mass, the maneuver and inertia only caused the Aristo to slingshot towards the Prelude.

“Damn! Grip the bloody road!” the driver in the white Honda cursed. “Grip it!”

As one of the front tyres finally registered its grip onto the wet tarmac, the Honda lunged forward while the rear of the Toyota began grinding against the wall before severe friction had a portion of the rear bumper torn before brake lights lit up. The battle was settled; the Honda Prelude was the victor; with an overheating intercooler. With water and oil temperatures over the ‘overheat’ section, what the coupe needs now was a good rest, though he swore he should have gotten an aftermarket intercooler of a suitable size instead of leaving it factory stock. And back to its garage right next to the driver’s apartment it went. Though, there were odd noises coming from the engine bay itself.

The driver examined his precious 300BHP Honda Prelude before shutting the garage with a wide grin. Out of four battles he had initiated, he won at all accounts. His opponents were the Toyota Camry, Daihatsu Storia, Nissan Cefiro Cruising and the Toyota Aristo. He never knew his front engine, front drive Honda had managed to overcome the odds, especially when he went against the Nissan Cefiro; the owner of the Cefiro unknowingly spun out after it went airborne after a road hump that was not visible from the driver’s view. It was pure luck that the Honda had its suspension tuned similar to World Rally Championship specifications for gravel roads, which was ironically, rather effective with wet asphalt.

He was proud to own the Honda Prelude. The sporty exterior can look deceiving at times, since the interior was simply luxurious. The steering wheel had several buttons that were connected to the stereo system; hence he could switch it on without looking away from the road just to get the system started. The seats were comfortable, but if only polyester were not used together with leather. He would see himself slipping from side to side whenever he goes through a sharp corner at high speed. But other than that, overall, it was heavenly comforting.

“Guess I have to get new front tyres. They’re balder than skinheads’ scalp,” he thought, pacing his way to the main door while his white sports shoes with red streaks on the side squelched into the puddles.

As he opened the door, at one moment, he saw a lass dashing towards him, and another moment, he was on the ground, with the same girl, this time rubbing her face at his lavender scented shirt.

“Welcome home Minoru-kun!” she mewed, as both of them stood up after taking a whiff of his shirt. “I can’t believe the detergent’s scent is still detectable on the shirt! Wow!”

Minoru, or Minoru Hasegawa in full, is a 19 year old who recently had his car licence two months ago. He sported black hair that had a wet look with sideburns that looked as if it had been chopped off poorly while eyes of natural brown. His attire, on the other hand, was a simple white Polo T-shirt, black jeans, and off-grey sport shoes. One may pass Minoru off as a lanky, typical geek, but he is not. Many of his fellow friends call him the ‘Powerhouse’ as Minoru happens to be the most active person. Extremely active that he could even go jogging after fours hours of training in the gymnasium, and even have enough energy to play badminton. Even though standing at 175cm, there was one flaw. And that concerns about his urge for speed. He loved the adrenaline rush earlier on. He loved the thrill of proving whose driving skill was more superior. His obsession was so intense that no one could stop him, even the police.

“Yeah, I noticed,” he grinned. “Anyway, Kagura-san, where’s Aikawa-san and Ryou?”

Kagura, or Kagura Ishida in full, possesses her slender body and bosoms that even the Westerners can feel ashamed of. It was obvious; she has an American size D cup. Her clothing consisted of a white cotton tank top, black trousers, and leather brown loafers. Ironically, Kagura has problems with her bosoms she was endowed with. It was hard for her to navigate up and down the stairs as she could barely see her footing on the steps. Clumsy? Well, yes, but not that often. She does take precautions before doing her tasks, except for a few hiccups especially when she spilled a cup of hot coffee from the second floor and the liquid dripped onto Minoru’s pants where his… unmentionables were when he was sleeping on the sofa at the first floor. But having long, silver hair and dull crimson eyes, many often nickname her as Draculina, which was self-explanatory due to her looks. Standing at a height of 160cm, she is not short for a lass, but does try ways to get herself taller; especially swimming.

“They’re still out; racing at the highways I presume. Anyway, I’ve made dinner. We’re having rice with beef curry!” she smiled, skipping away, only to trip and careened for the ground with a loud ‘whump’.

Minoru let out a long, heavy sigh as he scooted over to Kagura to help her, “Kagura-san, try not to say ‘Geez! I keep falling!’.”

“Geez! I keep falling!” she wheezed right after Minoru’s reminder.

Minoru could only shrug, “That’s the 50th time she said that this month. I can’t believe I actually remembered.”

…………………………………………………………………………

Inside ‘Cursed Car Garage’

Stillness; that was the only word that can describe the situation within the garage. For seven years, the demonic blood red coupe awaits for its new owner. The spirit within was getting bored after all the years of solidarity. A thick layer of dust had been building up ever since, and its full fuel tank desires its contents to be sloshed around. However, none of its desires have taken place. Then, it sensed the presence of its perfect new owner. The handbrake was released for no apparent reason; the coupe creaked towards the main garage door, resulting with a loud ‘crunch’ when it collided with the metal surface. Due to the impact, it reversed, slowly but surely, back to its original position with the handbrake handle pulled to lock the coupe in place. Guess it was not the time yet to show its prowess once again. However, the engine ignited by itself, as the cries of the coupe echoed within the garage, in hope of taking attention of its hidden presence. However, after doing the for about a minute, it gave up, as the engine went dead, still waiting for its new owner.

………………………………………………………………………………

The Next Day, 10pm…

After getting five hours of shut eye just as he returned from work as a car mechanic from 9am to 4pm, Minoru decided that it was time to hit the highways once again with his trusty Honda Prelude. He went over to the garage next to his apartment and raised the door open. He frowned. There was something not right with the coupe. He hopped into the driver’s seat and started the engine with the ignition key. The car could not start up. Minoru popped open the hood and realized the intercooler… was broken. Apparently, he had pushed the Prelude a little too far, way too far.

With his head dangling, Minoru dragged his feet back into his bedroom and threw the keys onto the built-in shelves, only to hear another set of keys dropping onto the cold granite flooring. He picked it up and read the tag that came along with the keys.

“Cursed Car Garage…” he murmured. “Does this mean there’s a car hidden within the compound?”

Minoru dashed out of the apartment, without noticing Kagura was tagging along after she heard ‘Cursed Car Garage’. With torchlight, Minoru swept it throughout the compound, and found a small stone structure that looked like an abandoned, but still intact, garage. Curiousity had taken over his body. Minoru then inserted the silver plated keys into the keyhole. Then, he had a weird sensation; something immense, powerful and deadly. Its aura was demeaning. He could feel the burden pressing down his shoulders. As he gulped, Minoru turned the key as the door raised by itself.

……………………………………………………………………………….

Somewhere on the Shutokou, Wangan Outbound…

A black Nissan Fairlady Z-L, or car code S30Z, was cruising down the highway, as the driver happily whistled in tune with the car’s engine. The passenger next to the driver was obviously irritated by the female driver’s whistling.

“Aikawa-san, could you please quit whistling? It’s making my head spin!” the passenger yelped as he clutched his head. “My headache is getting worse! You have a painkiller?”

She sighed and dug her left hand into her pocket to get a tray of painkillers, “Here. Just take one pill instead of two. This one’s pretty potent.”

He nodded as he cracked open two pills out and swallowed them without Aikawa noticing it, “Wait, did you say only one?”

Aikawa nodded, and she froze, “Did… you swallow two? Did you? Now, you’re going to go hyper for the next two hours!”

“Sorry! My hands just moved by themselves! Eh? I’m seeing stars…” he squealed, passing out in an instant.

“Guess it has a reverse effect on that dumb Ryou…” she sighed, passing by the bridge that was the end of the demonic Tommykaira R’s reign. “Wow…This bridge; the place where the demonic Tommykaira R’s reign as king of the highways ceased and disappeared from existence. I wonder when will it return; it’s been seven years since,”

She depressed the accelerator, one-quarter away from flooring it, trying to get away from the bridge as she felt a sudden chill running down her spine. She thought it was over. The chill was still present, and it was getting…stronger. A dark aura could be felt throughout her S30Z. Aikawa floored the gas pedal as the V6 engine under the hood roared, pulling away from the evil entity. She emerged victorious, but it was short lived. It came again, this time, faster. Cold sweat broke out from her forehead as she punched the gear knob from 4th, to 5th.

“Damn… 600HP coming from the VG30DETT, Z32 model I installed was not enough?” Aikawa gulped hard.

From the evil darkness, a pair of bright red headlights emerged from it as it took form of a coupe. She gulped once again. She thought it was the end of her winning streak, and it was. The blood red coupe sped past Aikawa’s 600HP Nissan S30Z like a rocket. By then, Aikawa felt her heart had ceased to function. The twisted spoiler, the infamous cursive writings on the sides, and the similar roar of the engine that howled like the demon of the underworld.

“It’s back… The feared Tommykaira R is back…” Aikawa muttered, not knowing who its new driver was as the demonic coupe disappeared into the distance.

Theme Song
Right Now
Artist: Dark Angels

And the books and the scream
And every nightmare and every dream
And the window over your land
So turn me on and take my hand!

Watching you; watching me
You don’t know you betrayed me
Can’t find myself; lost in your lies
I need to trust myself again!

(I have got to get away… There’s nothing you can break)

Find someone (I wanna feel the pain, I wanna live again)
I will love...

I wanna heal, I wanna feel; nothing’s real inside
Deep in my head; don’t be afraid
The reason you feel is right now
I wanna heal, I wanna feel; the beat is real you wanna leave me alone
Hold on the future; hold on the past
Wasting my time right now!

And the books and the scream
And every nightmare and every dream
And the window over your land
So turn me on and take my hand!

(I have got to get away... There’s nothing you can break)

Right now!

…Wasting my time right now…

OOC: Well, isn't it better to actually post it up in the forums here?

2nd Stage
Retribution

News about the return of the demonic Tommykaira R had many car owners on their toes whenever they hit the highways. The lone wandering racers that were not affiliated to any team welcomed its presence, as they regarded the cursed coupe as the leader of them. However, what they have yet to discover that the Tommykaira R was driven by a fresh meat, or a newcomer in simpler terms. The newcomer, Minoru Hasegawa, has been unable to figure out how to fully utilize the coupe’s full potential. Driving it for only two nights, it was understandable; handling from a 300HP front engine, front drive coupe to an 880HP 4WD demon was too much for Minoru to handle. But his obsession for speed got the better of him…

……………………………………………………………………………

Three Days Later…

Kagura was busy washing Minoru’s Honda Prelude that just returned from the car servicing centre in exchange for a new intercooler. Humming to a tune of a song, she turned to look at Minoru, who was busy doing tune-ups for the Tommykaira R. With a wet, soapy sponge in her left hand, she tiptoed her way into the garage, and chucked the soapy mass at Minoru like a flying bowling ball crashing into swimming pool that went ‘Boom!’

“Ow! Kagura, you’ll pay for this!”

Minoru grabbed the sponge and dashed out, only to see himself getting sprayed with water. In the midst of chaos, he threw the sponge right at the source, hearing a loud yelp soon after. The spraying ceased. Minoru’s mouth gaped open like a goldfish when he saw at the sight. The wet sponge was wedged right in between Kagura’s bosoms, and it was beginning to droop inside, till it was fully swallowed by her two ‘pillows’. Her face flushed red as she squealed.

“Kyaa!!! Now I’m getting wet inside!”

Blood burst out from his nose. Minoru knew she would say something like that. Yes, what she meant was that she was getting wet under her low-cut T-shirt, and not the erotic meaning. But the way she wheezed to get the surprisingly slippery sponge out, it was more to the erotic meaning.

“Minoru-kun! Help me get the sponge out! I think it’s stuck in between my boobs! Geez! I can’t get it out!” she yelped as Minoru crashed to the ground, more blood rushing out from his nose.

Or maybe not… she meant it!

……………………………………………………………………………

Base Of Haruna Mountain…

The parking lot was unusually sparse, since it was always jam packed with customers for the car performance modifier shop ‘E-cubed’. The manager, who was busy installing a V6 twin turbo engine into a Mitsubishi Galant VR-4, tried to think up reasons for the sudden drop of customers. He sighed, as he could not think up of any possibilities.

His attire underneath the typical mechanic's suit was of a simple grey Polo T-shirt and black trousers. A simple, trimmed short hairstyle was what he sported while using a hint of hair gel to keep it in place. Standing at a height of 1.73 metres, and of moderate build, the black eyed American let out a heavy sigh once again, knowing that if this situation were to keep up, he might have to wrap up his business here and head back to South Carolina, that is, until the owner of the serviced silver Mitsubishi Galant appeared out of nowhere.

“It’s been two days, Kenneth. How’s the engine swap going?” the owner greeted.

“Oh, it’s you, Kensuke,” Kenneth greeted. “What brings you here, the day before your sports sedan is ready?”

“I’m here to tell you about the reason why there’s a sharp drop in customers. ‘He’ is back,” Kensuke sighed, with a tinge of uncertainty.

“You mean ‘that’ demon car?”

Kensuke nodded in reply. The manager, Kenneth Ethridge, took a step back as his mind began to show his miserable defeat seven years ago, when he was driving a Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo then. 650HP under the hood was power too little to match the 880HP beast. Ever since then, Kenneth had sworn to himself that he would get his revenge this time, with a new pet of his.

He went up to a car covered by a large cloth. He grinned as he pulled the cloth away.

“Behold, Kensuke. My weapon to defeat that demon. This time, I’ll fight fire with fire!” Kenneth announced as the spectacled man replied in awe from a distance.

Kenneth’s new pet was a Porsche 911 Turbo (964 model) with a ‘RUF’ logo drilled over the ‘Porsche’ logo The whale tail spoiler had another spoiler drilled on it; a GT1 spoiler made out of carbon fibre to ensure constant downforce. Black-stained chrome rims was installed, reducing unnecessary mass and tyres from Pirelli was used. Under the hood was a flat-6 twin turbo engine that was bored and stroked to 3700cc. The power produced was so immense, that the frame of the coupe had to be reinforced completely; 900BHP was monstrous, and all the power was transferred only to the rear wheels. Indeed, it was a speed demon, or Demon BTR it was called, since he fantasized to have a rare RUF BTR, but made do with a Porsche.

“The Demon BTR, in technical terms, it’s extremely powerful. This could confirm my victory right from the start of a battle,” Kenneth shrugged, thinking how the weak Tommykaira would fair against his monster.

“In technical, yes, but in terms of spirit, I’m afraid not. The Tommykaira R is, in fact, alive. There’s a spirit haunting the coupe,” shuddered Kensuke, trying to shrug off the chill up his spine.

“Nonsense! There’s no such thing as ghosts and spirits! Only luck, power and skills exist in this world! They say it has ‘spirits’ because they want to scare other racers! That’s it! Enough of this conversation! I’ll return to the highway tonight, and make the kill!” Kenneth stormed off.

“Kenneth Ethridge… You just cannot rush into things… There’s something about that Tommykaira…” Kensuke sighed.

………………………………………………………………………………

Minoru’s Apartment.

“Man… Getting out that sponge out was unusually hard,” Minoru sighed as he sneezed, when a large bubble about a size of a football floated away from his mouth. “But she had to fall over me and chuck that sponge into my mouth!”

Kagura emerged from the kitchen with three cups of Arabian coffee on a tray as she lays them out on the coffee table, while sticking her tongue out, looking at Minoru, “Sorry about back then. My boobs were too heavy with the sponge stuck in between it and fell due to immense frontal force.”

“Is that what we call high centre of gravity?” another lass announced into the apartment.

“Ah! Aikawa, you’re back! Where’s Ryou?” Minoru answered.

Aikawa Takashizawa, better known as Aikawa, is one of the more technical racers as she knows more about cars than anyone else in Japan. However, keeping a low profile, only a handful that had swore to secrecy knew about her. One may see her as a senior high student in a first glance but she is, in fact, 20 years old. She sports an orange-yellow hair either tied into two ponytails or the wet look, and somewhat dark brown eyes. Though 20 years old, Aikawa was rather petite in size with B-cup bosoms, and has a weird childish-mature behaviour. On the other hand, her attire was of a simple blue short sleeved shirt, off blue jeans, and grey sport shoes. In other words, Aikawa was a 20 year old that had the appearance of a senior high student and stood at 160cm.

“He went back to his real house to collect his Lamborghini Diablo that just arrived today. What a spoiled brat. The son of a multi millionaire and yet wanting to live an easy life? Talk about trying to escape from reality…” she sighed before taking a sip of her warm coffee.

“At least he appreciates how the middle class citizens live. Living in luxury can get stressful, since you can just have anything in a snap,” Kagura giggled.

Aikawa and Minoru paused. Once again, Kagura’s sentence was somewhat weird again. Ignoring her reply, Aikawa went to the main topic.

“Say, Minoru. You know about the rumoured demonic Tommykaira R that disappeared without a trace 7 years ago after taking the throne as the king of Shutokou Highway? It’s back with a vengeance, though the pace was a little slower than its usual prowess. The news has been spreading like wildfire. We should keep an eye on this beast.”

Minoru pondered at the rumour he had heard, “Can you describe or tell where the owner got the car?”

In one breath, Aikawa described the looks and shape of the Tommykaira R. Minoru froze in his couch, before asking how the owner got the coupe.

“You’re one lucky devil. I’m the only one who noticed and knows where he got that uncommon model. Apparently, I was at the Tommykaira Car Exhibition with my late father 7 years ago. I can still remember the unveiling of the Tommykaira R R34. Only a handful was on sale at its debut, and the first buyer was a 30 year old technician who often to Fuji Speedway with his rusty can called the Toyota Corolla AE82. He never stated his name, but announced his license plate number he had decided ‘666’, as he was planning to hit the highways for more adrenaline rush. Within a flash, he swapped his cheque for the keys as he leaves in the very first Tommykaira R sold, that was blood red in colour. No one knows how much he paid for the then 370HP Tommykaira R, but rumoured to be millions after years of hard work, overtime pay and no leaves. Until now, I’m still puzzled about how he got that much money by working as a technician…” Aikawa recalled, rubbing her chin, trying to figure out the mystery.

Minoru’s hands were shaking to a point it became a rattle. Aikawa looked at him in amusement. He stood up and grabbed Aikawa’s hands without warning as they head to the garage sticking out of place.

“Aikawa. I think you just saw me driving ‘it’ about five days ago…” Minoru answered, trying to calm down while lifting the door open, revealing the Tommykaira R with the license plate ‘666’.

Aikawa stumbled to the ground. The dark aura. The feeling of being swallowed by its immense power. Its demanding power to make a big return to the highways. Yes… There it was resting in the garage. The ‘one’. Minoru hopped into the driver’s seat and ignited the engine. No, it did not roar. It howled through the moonless sky with a scream similar to a prisoner in a torture chamber, getting burned, slowly and painfully. A flock of crows launched into the sky, registering the Tommykaira’s existence.

“Get in, Aikawa. Kagura, you may want to test drive your R32. Tag along,” Minoru announced.

“Still shivering, she got into the passenger seat and buckled up, while Kagura emerges in her black Nissan Skyline R32 GTR that was known as the ‘Draculina’ since her appearance was similar to the mistress of the night. Visible upgrades of the R32 were the intercooler, exhaust and the spoiler. The original spoiler was removed for a GT1 spoiler since it was made of carbon fibre, which was lightweight.

Under the hood was the original RB26DETT engine raking up 720BHP, thanks to its two modified oversized turbochargers and a Dual Drive blow off valve. Even though the Skyline was set default as 4WD, Kagura preferred it to be an FR, since it was more efficient in her terms. As the two GTRs head for the highways, Kenneth and his Porsche 911 Turbo was already lurking around the highways to find the coupe that shamed him. Maintaining at a speed of 120kmh, he found himself in Shin Kanjou CCL, where he finally spotted the demon coupe emerging into the highway.

……………………………………………………………………………….

Tokyo Highway, Shin Kanjou CCL…

Kagura gave a thumb up at Minoru, stating that she would go on ahead with the test driving. Minoru nodded as he views the phantom black R32 disappearing into the distance. Aikawa, who finally calmed down, noticed a foreign sports car heading towards them while flashing its headlights.

“Minoru, are you going to-,”

“Yes. I want, no, I need to know its full potential. I need to know how much speed 880HP can rake up. I need… to quench my desire for speed.”

“Minoru agreed for the battle as he levels with the Porsche. Kenneth took a good look at the driver and the passenger.

“Are you kidding me? Wimpy kids in that cursed coupe? Well then, it’s going to be a walk in the park…”

However, within the interior of the Tommykaira R, whispers were heard in a female tune.

…Minoru Hasegawa…
…It’s going to be…fun…

not bad at all.

but then again, there is one detail i'd like u to change: there's no way for a Flat 6 to be bored all the way to 5000CC... that'll be the size of a V-8 of a 928.... so, be more modest and let the BTR be bored to 4000CC... which is way more reasonable.

hmm.. hope we get to see the Tommy Kaira ZZII sometime along the way. cool.gif

3rd Stage
Tommykaira R

As Kenneth floors the accelerator of his technical Demon BTR, so does the battle. Gaining the upperhand, the rear engine, rear wheel drive Porsche slingshot past the Tommykaira R with ease as it attained a gap of thirty metres. Minoru gasped at the immense acceleration his opponent had as he finally floors the gas pedal of the Tommykaira. He geared up to 4th. The acceleration difference between 3rd and 4th gear was amazingly different. The whine of the twin turbo was not in a typical tune as well. It sounded eerie and nerve wrecking. The tune of the blow-of valve was like a hellhound howling through the moonless night.

Kenneth was grinning evilly to himself, satisfied that his Demon BTR was able to overtake the Tommykaira with such ease. Just as he was about to declare victorious, he heard that incessant tune of the Tommykaira R beginning to grow louder by the second. He gritted his teeth in frustration. Did he enter the corner slower than that blasted R? He tapped on the brakes and released the accelerator for a second to switch lanes, blocking Minoru’s chance to overtake. Kenneth peeked at the rear view mirror to see the new owner. His eyes widened. It was a total stranger, but there was something hovering behind him, which was in mist form, with a dull red tone in colour. The female passenger has yet to notice that entity. By then, Kenneth was convinced that the Tommykaira R is haunted, as what the spectacled Kensuke had stated back at the garage. Gearing up to 5th, he floored the gas pedal again as the Porsche desperately attempts to break away from the R.

The immense howl of the engine had struck Aikawa’s fears in an instant. The sense of speed in the Tommykaira was more intense than her 1971 Nissan Fairlady. The 880HP engine had returned back to its original prowess ever since Minoru hit 4th gear onwards. The surroundings were a blur to Aikawa. The only things she noticed were the road, the Porsche, and this psychotic coupe. However, what has been bugging her most was a weird, lukewarm sensation over her shoulders. Aikawa turned to look at Minoru, where she finally discovered why the Tommykaira was regarded as a lethal weapon on the highway.

Ever since Minoru hit 4th gear, there was something not right. It was as if something was entering his body, and controlling the steering wheel. Fear struck him; what if they crash? He fought with the mysterious entity, when he heard a soft whisper, tingling his left ear.

Never be afraid of what you drive.
Open your mind; I shall show you the right way.

Minoru gulped, hard. He was not sure whether to allow the entity to take control of him, but the need to know the coupe’s original potential, Minoru gave a frail nod.

Very well, my master

And with that, he found himself being consumed by the entity. An echo of a female voice rang into his mind, disturbing his inner peace. Up till now, Minoru has yet to believe that he had been controlled by a spirit of the coupe.

I assume you are surprised that I know your name, Minoru Hasegawa?

He gasped. Since when the female spirit had his sir name correct? Speechless, the voice replied again as Minoru’s eyes noticed that the spirit executed a late braking technique as the leading Porsche and the Tommykaira hit the highway that was shared between C1 Outer Loop and Shin Kanjou CCL.

I go by the name of Hellena. My sir name; I shall leave it as anonymous.

Taking the courage, Minoru questioned her, as his eyes observed the Porsche swerving away from the traffic rather dangerously while the Tommykaira slowed down earlier to tackle the nasty corner that would mean death if a mistake should happen, “Umm… Hellena, were you actually a racer back when you were alive?”

Hellena giggled for a moment before answering.

I used to be alive, born from a family of racers. That is, before I was tortured to death. I still retain the image of a young adult. It was pretty an amusing feat for myself as well. The Nissan S30Z had that stubborn owner, who never allowed me to show the true prowess. Anyway, get ready. I’m going to show you how to overtake that Porsche at the S-bends before the Y-intersection.

Minoru gulped as Hellena turned the wheel, going to the inside lane while the Porsche was at the extreme outside lane. Aikawa was plagued in fear when she realized Minoru’s eyes were glazed, and near dead. Kenneth got his Porsche ready as he braked early to cut the wheel, so he would enter the corner on the inside.

“I’ll block you when you attempt to enter! It’s been fun, but I’ll end it here! Spirit or not, I’ll still emerge…victorious!”

He turned the wheel as the Porsche went into the inside of the bend, thinking that the driver of the Tommykaira would hit the brakes. The red coupe kept going, charging, and cut past through the Porsche, centimeters away from a fatal collision. The rear of the Tommykaira edged to the outside before the powerful thrust of the acceleration pulled the coupe out of the corner, before it happened for the next bend. The rear slid out by a small angle before grip registered into the tarmac and pulled away from the S-bend, without suffering any damages to the body. A blast of fire spat out from the exhaust pipe, somehow taunting Kenneth to chase it.

Kenneth could not believe what had happened. He knew all GTRs ever since 1989 had the ATTESA 4WD system, which stabilizes the GTRs when it senses it to be spinning out of control. But that stunt was impossible! That driver took the corners as if it was a book, and knowing what to expect when the coupe reacts. In the state of shock, he had not realized that he was metres away from the intersection. By the time Kenneth had realized what had happened around him, it was too late.

The front of the Porsche crumpled into the intersection at high velocity. Even though he had slowed down to 120kmh, the impact was still massive. But it was pure luck that Kenneth did not remove the air bags as it protected him from harm, though knocked unconscious. Other civilian vehicles halted upon noticing the collision, as drivers rushed for his aid.

… … …

It has been three days since the race concluded, and Kenneth was well on the road to recovery. He reflected what had happened when the blasted Tommykaira R overtook him with such ease. Maybe spirits do exist in this ever-changing world. The front of his Porsche was in a total mess, but even so, Kenneth had already planned to rebuild the car; with a different front. He flipped open his laptop and scanned through the files with pictures of a certain Gemballa, which was made in 2002. With a glint in his eyes, Kenneth began to dig up more information on its dimensions, materials used, and its suspension tune up.

“You may have won this time round, Tommykaira R, but I’ll make a remarkable comeback when the right time comes!” Kenneth muttered before sneering to himself.

… … …

Yokohane Highway, towards C1 Inner Loop

Aikawa has been on her toes for the past few days ever since the incident when Minoru went all out with such skill, or so she thought. After Minoru explained that it was the spirit by the name of Hellena, who took control of his body and showed the true ability of the Tommykaira, a chill ran down her spine. Aikawa swore to herself that she would never, ever, get into that cursed coupe again!

“Damn! I have a reputation to keep up here in Yokohane! Must get rid of that,” she thought, before noticing the coupe she hated most emerging from one of the highway’s pit areas. “Damn! Not her again!”

Indeed, it was the damned driver Aikawa despised. Emerging out of the pit area was a black Nissan Fairlady 300ZX Z31 with a box rear spoiler that produced much needed downforce. The roar of the engine indicates that it has at least 700HP under the carbon fibre hood. One thing that made Aikawa twitch in anger was that the Z31’s acceleration was much more aggressive than her S30Z, but when it comes to the corners, the Z31 would go as if the road was made of oil and begin to lose control whenever it depresses the gas pedal. That made Aikawa frustrated. Who wants to drive that crazy in the corners, though she admitted that it was an effective blocking technique. Aikawa had to realize all these; after all, she is the current leader of Yokohane Highway. Losing to the Z31 would mean that Aikawa will have to reluctantly pass the title to the blasted driver.

“She better not flash those headlights at me. If she does, the blasted black Z31, will be defeated in my hands!” Aikawa muttered under her breath as the Nissan Z31 went behind her S30Z.

… … …

At one of the pit areas in Yokohama CWL…

In the demonic Tommykaira R was Minoru sipping a can of cold coffee as he communicated with Hellena, “Say, Hellena. You said a few days ago that you retain the image of a young adult, am I right?”

Minoru heard a chuckle before she replied

Well, isn’t it better for me to just show you how I look?

Without any hesitation, an unknown sensation could be felt within the coupe as a blast of cold air came rushing against Minoru’s body. He swiveled to the left, looking at the empty passenger seat, no one. His head then turned to the right, looking outside. He swore he saw someone that caught his eye-.

"You're looking at the wrong direction," a female voice rang into his ear, at the direction where the empty passenger seat was.

That was when he spun around, only to be greeted by a woman; Hellena. She had unique auburn shoulder length hair that goes well with the simple white, rather low-cut T-shirt with red sleeves that looks as if it was a size smaller than her actual size, and off grey denim shorts that barely reached the middle part of her thighs. The red, white, and black sports shoes she wore looked somewhat an antique as it was no longer in production for over a decade. Hellena turned to look at Minoru, revealing her face. Minoru found himself flustered after realizing Hellena had rare, silver coloured eyes that were streaked with various shades of black and brown, complements well with her sharp-eye look.

“I see that you’re in a state of shock, I assume?” she asked, stroking her hair.

Minoru could only nod. He was just too surprised to say anything. Hellena took a closer look at Minoru with a tissue paper in her right hand.

“There’s a coffee smudge on your face. Let me wipe it off,” she stated the obvious when she noticed Minoru’s face flushing red. “What’s wrong? You caught a cold?”

Before Minoru could go on, the noise of a turbocharged V12 engine ripped through the pit area. Minoru got out of the Tommykaira to see what was going on before Hellena did. He gasped when he found out that Hellena was just right beside him.

“I’ll explain about it later,” she chipped in.

A striking yellow Lamborghini Diablo GTR entered the parking lot as it stopped beside Minoru and Hellena. The windows rolled down as the driver greeted. With an attire almost similar to a businessman, with the omission of a blazer, his black hair sported a quiff style while black eyes and a cheery response completed his appearance.

“Yo, Minoru!”

“Hey, Ryou! You finally got your Lamborghini!” Minoru replied with excitement.

“Ryou?” Hellena pondered at the name.

“Who’s that gorgeous lass right beside you, Minoru?”

Minoru paused for a moment and glanced at Hellena, who nodded in reply, “This is Hellena.”

“Hellena?” went the clueless 1.7m tall half Japanese. “I swear I heard this name before. Wait, don’t tell me; the rumoured spirit haunting the Tommykaira R?”

With a sigh, Hellena went up to Ryou and confessed, as Minoru listens, “Yes, I’m the spirit haunting the Tommykaira. Errr… Hello? Ryou?”

And there was Ryou, spacing out in the middle of the conversation. Minoru let out a heavy sigh as he whacked Ryou’s back, hard. As a result, Ryou lunged forward, but managed to prevent himself from falling as he snaps.

“Oh! Err… Sorry about that. I assume you were the one who haunted a dark blue Nissan S30Z before the Tommykaira R?”

“Yes.”

“I see. May I request for a battle at Yokohama CWL right away? I wish to see the coupe’s monstrous prowess.”

“My, my. Aren’t we talking with grand vocabulary? Certainly. But do try not to feel shocked if you notice anything out of the picture.”

“Huh?”

OOC: Actually, this is a full original story. The only thing related to TXR3 was the idea of this story, hence there's no hint of TXR3 cars here. And yes, the Tommykaira R is the main car in the story, and it's blood red in colour.
-------------------------------------------------------

4th Stage
VS Lamborghini Diablo GTR

As the two monstrous cars hit the highways of Yokohama CWL, the 850HP Lamborghini Diablo took off in a sudden burst, leaving Minoru and Hellena behind in the Tommykaira R. Minoru, who was behind the wheel, gasped when the Diablo disappeared out of sight a few seconds later.

“He’s fast!” Minoru exclaimed.

“He’s still slow,” Hellena replied with a smirk on her face.

“Slow?” he asked, hitting 4th gear, as the boost finally kicked in at 245kmh. “Urgh…”

“This Tommykaira has insane acceleration from 4th gear onwards. The previous owner tuned the 1st till 3rd gear on wide, on purpose.”

“Eh? Why?”

“To get up to speed. Other drivers matter on the first three gears for a quick getaway, only to be hampered later on from 4th gear onwards. I won’t help you this time, but I will tell you when to brake, steer, and accelerate.”

“Okay.”

“You may want to know this. The first gear goes from 0 to 80kmh, second gear 81 to 160kmh, third gear 161 to 240kmh, 4th gear 241 to 280kmh, 5th gear 281 to 305kmh, and 6th gear 306kmh and onwards. The highest speed reached by the previous owner was 330kmh.”

“All right.”

Ryou, on the other hand, mashes on the accelerator of his exotic super car as the V12 engine roared, picking up speed faster than he had expected. Brown eyes glanced at the speedometer, somehow a bit fidgety with the gear knob; maybe changing cars from his former Toyota Chaser Tourer V was somewhat a bad idea, he thought. As he switches gears, the V12 engine grunted in response as the coupe lunged forward due to its overwhelming acceleration. Smiling to himself in satisfaction, Ryou was about to switch on his sound system, when he heard the haunting cries of the Tommykaira R.

“Huh? What th- It can’t be!” he swore under his breath not realizing that beads of cold sweat formed on his forehead.

From his rear view mirror, he could see a pair of headlights; furious-looking. The next oncoming corner could be considered as a tight one, especially when there was a broken down car at the left lane of the two-lane highway. Gritting his teeth, Ryou pressed on, attempting to keep up increasing the gap in between them, until at the last moment, he floored the brakes, geared down to 4th, and turned the wheel. The Lamborghini gripped through the corner at 230kmh on the inside as tyres squealed in horror of a probable collision. The Tommykaira kept pushing. Ryou bit his lip while viewing the R catching up. The red coupe turned, but it was careening for the outside barriers. Ryou could not bear to view it as he tilts his rear view mirror away. The lights of his opponent flashed, before it disappeared and heard tyres squealing. Ryou had expected a deafening crash soon after, but it never came. Instead, the roar of the blood red coupe got louder, and louder. His opponent’s headlights were not shining behind his Diablo. Instead…

“Don’t tell me?” Ryou swore under his breath as he turned to look at the outside lane. “Impossible…”

Right next to Ryou’s Lamborghini Diablo GTR was Minoru and Hellena in the Tommykaira R. Now, Ryou knew what Hellena meant when she told him not to be shocked should he notice anything out of the picture. There was no way the R could catch up with his Diablo through the corners.

“Unless… the technique executed,” he muttered. “Trail braking, and… It has the ATTESA system?”

… … …

In the Tommykaira R, Minoru was amazed to know that he had just executed a high level racing technique. He would ask for an explanation from Hellena if he could, but a road block ahead had his full attention. A tow truck and a broken down sedan; a red Mitsubishi Galant Super VR-4 was in his way. Minoru was about to ask Hellena when she ordered.

“Ride on the tow truck’s ramp. Make full use of it. There’s no traffic, other than the spoilt car, so hit the gas pedal!”

Minoru was not too sure about Hellena’s plan, but decided to do it. He floored it, and pumped the gears from 4th, to 5th. The inline-6 twin turbo engine howled through the night as the revolutions got faster, to a point it reached 10’000 rpm, at a speed of 300kmh. In the Diablo, Ryou watches in horror as the blood red coupe goes up the ramp of the tow truck. It soared through the air, nose-diving for the asphalt.

“It’s nose-diving! You’re going to wreck your front bumper, which supplies front downforce!” Ryou yelled in his exotic coupe.

“We’re going to wreck the Tommykaira!” Minoru yelped, catching a glimpse of Hellena’s facial expression.

The lass only grinned, not because of the coupe, but noticing Minoru’s unique frantic reaction. Minoru’s nose crinkled in an odd manner when he shut his eyes tight and looking away from the windscreen. The brunette retained the smirk on her face, as silver eyes rolled, looking at her master.

“Look again, Minoru,” Hellena said in a calm manner, this time putting a rather cold expression.

“Huh?” Minoru gasped when he opened his eyes, now noticing that the Tommykaira’s front was pointing slightly to the air, before hitting the tarmac with a horrendous groan. “What just happened?”

“What you witnessed was the art of the rear spoiler’s function. Since the rear spoiler had more downforce than the front spoiler, the rear gets pushed to the ground a lot more than the front. This setup is most crucial for World Rally Championship cars. Nose-diving is not a good thing to experience. It would only cause damage for the front bumper, or in serious cases, engine problems, or loss of control,” Hellena explained. “Now, get speeding. Ryou’s trying to break away from the neck-to-neck situation.”

“Right on,” he replied, pushing the gear knob to 6th.

The coupe lunged forward as the whine of the twin turbo began to sound like a woman in the process of being raped while screaming for help. The demonic noise the RB26DETT made had Minoru quivering in fear. He has yet to get used to the Tommykaira’s hellish cries. To Minoru, the Tommykaira R was a moving Dante’s Inferno. Hellena took notice of Minoru’s anxiety. Placing her right hand on Minoru’s left shoulder, she whispered into his ear.

“Never, ever, allow the cries of the coupe consume you. It will only cause you to lose your aim of the current situation. Think of driving this devil as a challenge. It will defy you in many ways; in fact countless times to distort your mind and kill you. Overcome it, and it will respect your every command. I’m here to guide you, so do not worry. I’m always here to help you, my master.”

Minoru had mixed feelings about Hellena’s reply. Of course, she had been always there to help him about theTommykaira R. But, what if one day, she decides to leave this moving inferno and leaves Minoru to struggle with the coupe? What if, he was never meant to drive this legend?

“Do not worry, master,” Hellena purred, calming the indecisive driver down. “Focus on the objective of this race. Take note that you’ve already entered Yokohane Highway inbound.”

With a firm nod, Minoru regains the confidence and floors the accelerator. A burst of fire spat out from the twin exhaust pipes. The engine roared, catching Ryou’s attention, who was in his striking yellow super car and was ahead at least a hundred metres from the R.

… … …

Aikawa thought she had bitten her tongue. The blasted Nissan Fairlady had provoked her for a race, initiating a battle for the title as ‘The Ace of Yokohane Highway’. Throughout the battle, Aikawa’s opponent had been leading the race with the 700HP black Nissan Fairlady Z31. She conquered the straights of the highway, but Aikawa’s attack at the corners had her pressured. The lightweight S30Z Aikawa drove was nimble around the turns, hence allowing her the edge to overtake the Z31.

“I should be able to overtake her just after the intersection to the exit of the highway. There’s a rather blind corner there,” Aikawa thought as she steers her S30Z to the inside lane.

The driver of the Z31 had not realized the blind corner until at the final moment, when she blew past the intersection. She jammed the brakes and steered, but the rear tyres were not assisting. Instead, the rear wheels locked, and the Z31 began to spinout, blocking Aikawa’s way.

“Damn!” Aikawa swore under her breath as she floors the brakes, steered away from the Z31, missing it by a hair, then proceeded to pull the handbrake after realizing she, too, had lost control.

The black S30Z came to a full halt on the outside lane, unharmed. Aikawa got out of the coupe, only to notice a Z31 with a wrecked rear. The driver of the Z31 was not injured, except for a bruise on her right arm. She stumbled out of the wreckage and observed the damage. It would cost her several thousand yen worth of repairs and reconstruction of the coupe. She sighed, then took a glimpse at Aikawa, whom had realized she had a blown a tyre when she pulled the handbrake.

Aikawa cursed while proceeding to change the tyre. It was unbelievable! Since when tyres go off in a situation like that? However, that was not all, as she hears roars of two cars coming in their direction.

“Shit! Why now?” she thought, frantically trying to quicken her pace of changing tyres while stealing glances at the road of the two oncoming vehicles.

… … …

In the Tommykaira R, Hellena began to feel uneasy as the battle ensued. The Lamborghini was only a car distance ahead, and Minoru was still calm after her consolation earlier on. Hellena then noticed two coupes blocking the road after the intersection to the exit of the highway. The Tommykaira was on the inside, meaning that Minoru has the edge to exit the highway, blow across the empty road below, and then hit the path back to the highway once again. Hellena whispered into Minoru’s ear about the current situation, and the plan to counter it. However, Ryou had the same plan as well, after noticing the situation ahead.

The Diablo steered hard, cutting the red coupe’s chance to overtake. Minoru bit his tongue when it occurred. He tapped on the brakes and geared down to 4th, exiting the highway behind Ryou’s Lamborghini. Something flashed from the road below. Hellena and Minoru took notice of it. A sedan emerged and was in their way. As the single lane road split into two, Minoru took the open lane and geared up to 5th, in attempt to overtake Ryou. The Dodge SRT-4 sedan was totally in their way as Minoru swerves by slamming on the brakes then steering to the right, missing the sedan by a few centimetres. Ryou had done the same, but on the opposite direction. The path back to the highway was only one lane, and it would either be the Lamborghini, or the Tommykaira to take the road first.

Minoru mashes on the accelerator, assuming that it would squeeze out extra acceleration to gain the lead. The Tommykaira was on the right path to hit the road while Ryou attempts to cut through from the side. The demonic coupe answered Minoru’s need for more acceleration as it edged out ahead, taking the path before Ryou. Ryou cursed after realizing that going further on would only thrash up his Diablo as there was not enough space to squeeze through. He floored on the brake pedal, and swerved, avoiding the barriers in the nick of time. Ryou had given up. Minoru’s new toy was simply too risky to defeat in such a situation. As Ryou entered into a nearby parking lot for a break, he glanced at the Yokohane Highway with a smile.

“Looks like the Tommykaira R’s making a huge comeback. Good luck, Minoru. You’ll need it.”

In the Tommykaira R, Hellena was cheering for Minoru’s very first victory with the coupe. With a wide grin, Minoru cheered while yelling in the car.

“Thank you Hellena. I really need to thank you!”

Without thinking, he embraced Hellena right after he pulled up at the side of the road. She blushed furiously and let out a gasp. Hellena had never realized; Minoru’s body was warm. Minoru was about to stop hugging when Hellena prevented him from doing so.

“A bit longer, Minoru. A bit longer. You’re… so warm”

“All right,” Minoru whispered.

“Ah!” Hellena gasped once again, by the overwhelming warmth. “Mmm…”

… … …

From afar, a driver in his black Mazda RX-7 Savanna used a pair of binoculars to observe the Tommykaira R parked at the side of the road. Picking up his radio, he began to talk.

“I’ll be pulling out for a while. We need to upgrade this FC even further in order to defeat the legendary Tommykaira R.”

“All right, Nick. We’ll try to get further upgrades for the turbocharger, exhaust system and so on.”

“I’ll be waiting. Make sure it’s available in three days time.”

“No problem, over and out.”

Nick tossed the radio into the gloves compartment as he speeds away with his 500HP rotary-engine coupe, leaving Yokohane Highway, “I can’t wait to defeat you, blood red R. You’ll lose in the hands of the Black Knights!”

OOC: Well, I'll see about that, since I have up to chapter 8, you see. So .. yeah, it'll be a long time before any car from TXR3 would appear as a cameo...

------------------------------------------

5th Stage
The Ricer

Three days later…

Hellena soon became another resident of Minoru’s apartment, though she tends to get a little too cheeky at times, and perverted as well. Believe it or not, that spirit being considers herself as a pervert, peeking at every single resident when they were changing in their respective rooms, and so on. Due to… these occurrences, things in Minoru’s apartment began to feel livelier than the usual, peaceful, quiet haven.

“Hellena, give me back my stash of beer!” Ryou yelped, chasing the floating six-pack of Asahi beer cans down the corridor. “Hellena!”

Ryou jumped to grab the six-pack, and successfully secured it, only to find himself tumbling down the stairs. Hellena materialised into her human form next to the mess called Ryou. Squatting, she poked Ryou’s cheek, to see whether he reacts or not.

“Ow,” was his only reply, with the six-pack still in his arms.

Hellena blinked her eyes for a few times before proceeding jumping backwards while sporting a shocked facial expression, “What? You’re still alive? Even after you tumbled down the stairs like an alloy engine after a crash?”

“Let’s just say the mind overpowers the body. So long your mind wants your body to be more resistant, you’ll… get…it…”

Just as Ryou stood up, he collapsed again, but this time, knocking himself out. Hellena let out a heavy sigh, staring at Ryou.

“Mind overpowers the body, huh?” Hellena thought when Aikawa popped out of nowhere.

“It seems that almost everything he says, his body does the exact opposite. Ryou’s one very weird man,” she explained before letting out a sigh. “Anyway, Hellena. Minoru wants to see you in ‘that’ garage.”

“Is that so? I’ll be making my move then,” Hellena replied, before pacing her way out of the apartment.

Aikawa observed Hellena’s sinful body physique as a thought ran though her mind, “Hellena sure has a tight butt and perky breasts. Eh? What am I thinking? I need to get a turbocharger upgrade for my Fairlady!”

As such, while her face was flushed red, she scrambled for the backyard, where her black coupe awaits for its upgrading, “I need to defeat the Tommykaira R someday…”

… … …

C1 Outer Loop

The highways seem to be a little too quiet for comfort. In the midst of silence, a Honda Civic sedan with an outrageously huge GT1 rear wing sped-no, rolled by as American hip-hop songs thumped through the car. The wild orange coupe wheezed to a stop in a pit area as the music continued, drowning the sobbing SOHC engine under the hood. However, having 400BHP sounds rather unbelievable for a mere, measly 1.6 litre petrol engine to fork out. The blinking red neon lights under the car had the other racers around him beginning to make a mockery out of the 4 door front wheel drive sedan.

“Hey, dude. You got ‘gnaws’ under the hood?” one of them yelled.

“Yo! You got a 1000BHP sedan! Nice gay car!” remarked another.

“SOHC engine, plus ricer, plus nitrous, I think he’s in for a beating here. What a loser. Ricers just pimp up their weak cars, and only to make it look stupid instead of its performance. Pathetic,” another one ranted.

The driver of the Honda Civic then emerged from the sedan, with a grin that everyone would feel disgusted of, “Wha’s up y’all? Anyone ‘ere gonna challenge meh ta a battle wit’ mah bling bling ‘sivic’?”

No one answered. Instead, they turned away, and chatted with the other racers while trying to ignore the ricer’s existence. It turned out successful, until the irritating ricer bugged them once again.

“ ‘Ay! You guys chikin’ out or what? I see Suprahs and Skylin’s and no one ain’t challenging this pro drivah?”

The other racers were about to pounce on the ricer, and had the intention of beating him into mash, and throw his Civic down the elevated highway, when… they heard the hellish cries of the known blood red coupe. The racers shuddered in fear, with eyes filled with terror. The ricers pondered what was going on, till he saw the furious looking headlights that emitted menacing red lights from it. It howled, as thunder cracked the skies, unveiling the coupe’s position. There it was. Entering the pit area was the well-known demonic, vile, road-shredding Tommykaira R. The racers retreated, back to where their cars were parked respectively. Minoru somehow felt embarrassed when the coupe he drove took attention of many, and became the centre of the gossip. Hellena simple paused, not amused by the fame the coupe had received.

The grumbles and groans coming from the heavily modified RB26DETT engine under the hood of the blood red coupe echoed throughout the pit area, registering its presence even more than the weakling Honda Civic. The ricer, not amazed, went up to the screaming R and gave a bemused look. Minoru, who was behind the wheel, took notice of the ricer, and listened what he had to say.

“Tryin’ ta act cool eh? Look! Even yer spoiler looks lik’ a sop’ box! And the car itself, looks like a dead Skylin’ Ar33 smacked together with a Midget!”

That had Minoru furious right to the bone. He rolled down the windows fully, revealing his identity to the ricer. His face warped, eyebrows twitching at irregular intervals. With eyes filled with anger and hatred, he yelled at him.

“What’s with you? Not happy with me, is it? I’ll challenge you, right here, right now, with that pathetic, gay, ridiculous, stupid, awful, slow, shitty, pain in the ass Honda Civic! Fear 880BHP of brute power, compared to your weedy flimsy piece of junk called a car!”

The ricer gulped, “880BHP? You’re kidding, right?”

“Why don’t you find out, ricer?”

The driver of the Honda Civic bit his tongue when he heard that, “R-Ricer? Lemme tell ya somethin’! I’ll prove ya that ‘ricers’ are the real racers! To hell to those who hate ‘Fast and Furious’!”

“Now I know where he got the idea from…” thought Minoru sarcastically.

Fuming, the ricer got into his Honda Civic sedan and floored the accelerator. The front wheels spun crazily, desperately trying to pull the sedan out of the pit area. He stared at the Tommykaira that seemed to be making a mockery out of his orange Civic. He then grinned in delight.

“880BHP, huh? More like 80BHP to me!” he thought, overtaking the blood red R.

In the Tommykaira R, Hellena, who was in the passenger seat, pondered for a moment before asking Minoru, “Why were you furious at him, and calling him a ‘ricer’ instead of a racer?”

“I’d guess you’re going to ask that question,” Minoru replied, steering the Tommykaira behind the Honda Civic. “‘Ricers’ are drivers who mainly upgrade their car’s visuals than performance. I’ve seen better Honda Civics, but that one is absurd! It’s a disgrace! Watch ‘Fast and Furious’ and you’ll know what I mean. Stupid movie.”

“I think I know about it,” Hellena replied, giving a disgusted look. “That movie was horrendously awful. Even a decomposed dog can make a better movie than that.”

“At least we have something in common,” Minoru added, before punching the gear knob to third while ranting at the Civic. “What’s this? I’ve only reached third gear and you’re still struggling to speed up? How anal can you get ricer? Come on. Even if you drive a Dodge SRT-4, it’s not going to help you win, at all.”

To be more specific, the ricer’s Honda Civic had already reached the red-line of 4th gear. He looked at his automatic gearbox, then at the rev-meter. He floored the gas pedal. The front wheels of the Civic began spinning excessively, forming incessant smoke. The Honda’s speedometer jumped from 180kmh to 240kmh. The SOHC engine began to overheat, but the ricer did not care. He punched the red button on the dashboard, activating all three bottle of Nitrous Oxide. Blue flames began to shoot out from its four exhaust pipes. The speedometer went off the scale. The ricer panicked. Minoru could sense the danger as he floors the gas pedal and took the lane next to the Civic. Moments later, a crunch was heard was heard under the hood of the Honda. Smoke began to emit from the seams of the hood, before it popped open, blocking his view. As the Civic spun to a halt, Minoru kept on going, leaving the Civic in its tracks, as the hellish cries of the Tommykaira echoed, marking yet another victory.

“Too easy. Too easy,” grinned Minoru.

“That was unentertaining. All the ricer has been doing was trying to kill the engine,” Hellena remarked.

Minoru could only laugh it off. It was a moment too funny for him. As he exited the corner after biding goodbye to the ricer, a scream of another car was heard. He glanced at the rear view mirror. It was all too sudden; a pair of orbs appeared rather instantaneously. The scream of the vehicle catching up became a loud grumble, catching Hellena’s attention.

The pair of orbs flashed at the Tommykaira’s rear view mirror. Minoru bit his lip when it occurred in a split second. Even though he had floored the gas pedal to the carpet, the unknown vehicle kept coming closer, stressing him to go even faster. Hellena took a closer look of the oncoming vehicle, before verifying the model.

“Nissan Gloria, HY33 model, and it’s the Gran Turismo version,” she muttered as her silver eyes ceased straining.

Minoru pondered for a moment, before replying, “Gran Turismo? The game?”

“It’s not that,” Hellena answered with eyes that said ‘I knew it’.

Before she could go on with her explanation, the stated chasing Nissan was already tailgating the Tommykaira. Minoru gasped at the sudden appearance of the luxury sedan, and punched the gear knob to 4th. The grumbles of the RB26DETT engine screamed hysterically when 245kmh was achieved. The screams then turned to a howl as the blood red R began picking up speed, getting away from the luxury sports sedan. He let out a heavy sigh of relief, which caught the silver-eyed lass’s attention.

“Don’t underestimate a VIP sedan!” was her warning.

Minoru flinched once again. The Nissan Gloria that almost faded from the rear view mirror got closer, in fact faster than expected. He shoved the gear knob to 5th. The VIP sedan still caught up with them. A right corner was coming up, fast. Within the two lane highway, Minoru steered the Tommykaira onto the inside, hoping to widen the gap during the corner. The massive, black luxury sedan took the outside lane, and was attempting to overtake the red coupe when it had to slow down. Hellena stared at the VIP car with intentions to know the driver behind the wheel. She crept to the rear seats of the Tommykaira, before stumbling to the carpet when Minoru steered the fearsome beast into the corner. The slender lass squirmed her way out of the situation, but realized… she was in a… provocative position.

“What the-,” was her reaction when she realized her buttocks was rubbing against Minoru’s left cheek. “H-huh?”

“Hellena!” Minoru yelled. “Will you just go to the rear seats?”

Without any warning, Hellena felt a tight slap on her buttocks. It sent a shock into her brain, telling the lass to hurry up. She scrambled to the rear seats, where she finally took a moment about Minoru, her master, slapping her buttocks. Somehow, Hellena found herself enjoying that. She squealed in delight rather softly, before realizing she had almost forgotten her main objective. Rubbing her buttocks to ease the pain, silver eyes peeked out of the rear side windows. Her eyes widened. She could not believe what was going on. The VIP sedan… was gaining on them at the outside corner.

“The Nissan Gloria is… sliding through the corner?” Hellena muttered, before noticing the Tommykaira heading towards the outside of the corner. “No. I knew it; slipstreaming.”

Minoru swore under his breath. The tyres could not take it anymore. Turning to the corner at 230kmh was too fast, and too harsh for the four Yokohama tyres to withstand. The chasing black luxury sedan was catching up, fast. Speed-hungry Minoru steered deeper, hoping to get the demonic coupe back to the inside. The Nissan Gloria lunged forward, straight for the inside as well. Minoru’s brown eyes widened. He floored the gas pedal after feathering it for awhile, hoping that acceleration would help the blood red R speed away from the situation. It did help the Tommykaira pushing towards the inside once again, but the rear wheels squealed rather violently, telling Minoru to back off.

“M-master! Slow down! The rear tyres can’t take this torture! You have not changed the tyres for the past week!” Hellena warned. “The battle between Ryou and his Diablo GTR three days ago must have used much of the tyres’ grip!”

Minoru knew about the tyres’ condition. But for the sake of winning this unexpected battle, he pressed on. The Nissan Gloria crept onwards, with its front bumper almost touching the Tommykiara’s right door. He bit his lip, realizing the blood red R had gone sideways. The rear tyres have given up. The loss of traction from the rear wheels had Minoru struggling to recover from the fatal situation. Instinct kicked in, making him counter-steer the wheel, hoping to get out of the problem. However, it did not work. The luxury sedan began braking as well, trying to stay away from the coupe. In a split second, the Tommykaira R’s rear lashed, as it spun out. The rear bumper began grinding against the barriers before coming to a halt just before the coupe could lash out to the opposite direction.

From the back seats, Hellena found herself tumbling to the carpet, face first. She squirmed her way out of the problem, and glanced at the side window. Her eyes widened; the Nissan Gloria was careening for the coupe. She shut her eyes, ready for impact. Nothing. She cracked her eyes. There it was. The luxury sedan came to a halt just milimetres from collision. Minoru, who was in the driver’s seat, gasped and wheezed at what had happened. Both of them got out of the Tommykaira R, with the engine still grumbling in fury. Brown eyes observed the damage of the rear bumper. Only major scratches and minor dents, nothing serious.

The door from the VIP sedan opened, catching the duo’s attention. As the driver emerged from it, Minoru realised that his opponent was not Japanese at all. She was a German. She wore a tight-fitting, long-sleeved white business shirt, and body hugging skirt, which was far from covering her knees, not even half of her thighs. She sported long orange hair, and had ash-brown eyes that looked as if they were dead; lifeless to be more specific. The German lass went up to them, striking a conversation.

“I apologise back there, for initiating a battle so suddenly,” She went, somehow a bit guilty about the outcome. “Anyway, I’m Tessa; Tessa Schneider. I was doing a test drive on my VIP sedan when I spotted that Tommykaira R overtaking me at great speed. So my instinct’s kicked in, and a initiated a race with you.”

Hellena, somehow still shaken, understood the German’s reason and acknowledged it, “Not to worry. It’s human nature that you’d pull attention to it.”

“But, there’s another coupe down Wangan that had the same vibe to this Tommykaira R as well,” went Tessa, somehow wanting to tell Hellena about it.

The brunette flinched as silver eyes widened, “Don’t tell me…”

“It was the Lucifer Z. Heard that the paint has been changed from black to dark blue.”

Hellena froze. Of all rumours, it had to be that one. She did not want to remember it, or even talk about it. She hated the car right to the bone. Not because of the coupe’s technical faults. It was simply… the feeling on uneasiness and constant fear, never faded away, even till now. Her eyes widened. Her mouth gagged open. There was nothing she could say at that very moment.

“I heard that it was sent to the scrapyard to destroy its existence. However, someone had bought it minutes before it was about to be destroyed. It was restored by the buyer, and now, he’s racing around the highway,” the German pointed out.

Silver eyes gasped at the thought. It is back, she thought. Nightmares of her trying to control the car flooded her mind, sending a nerve-wrecking chill running up her spine. She lost her footing. Minoru saw it in a split second, and caught her before she fell to the ground. Her hands have gone cold, making Minoru more concerned about Hellena.

“It can’t be… It can’t be…” was her mutters. “It’s back.”

… … …

OOC: Well, picture as it is... The Tommykaira R is the one chasing the Lucifer Z, considering the clues by Hellena's reactions. Anyway, onto the next chapter... Honda Prelude VS. Mazda FC3S!

6th Stage
Anticipation

It has been a week ever since Tessa Schneider, the German racer driving a massive VIP sedan called the Nissan Gloria, reminded Hellena about the Lucifer Z. It was shocking to see her looking exhausted and breathless every time someone mentions about it. That had Minoru worried about her. The menacing Tommykaira R had been sent for repairs, and was ready due in a few hours’ time. He let out a sigh. There was only one thing he could do; take Hellena out in his former car, the Honda Prelude.

However, that, too, was a challenge for Minoru. For the first time, ash-brown haired Hellena was reluctant to go out, and hugged a pillar with her arms, while Minoru pulled her by the legs. His hyperactive strength did help him out as he dragged the wailing lass into the white coupe.

“I don’t wanna go out!” she bawled in a Kansai dialect. “I don’t wanna! Leave me alone in the apartment! I don’t wanna go out!”

“Come on. A cruise down the highway will do you good,” he replied, trying to get the struggling Hellena put on the seatbelt while getting shoved by her. “H-Hellena! Your underpants are showing!”

“I don’t wanna! Master, let me go!” she went, ignoring Minoru’s reply.

“Too late,” went the male counterpart, finally getting the lass into the coupe.

“Wah!” wailed the brunette.

With the materialized spirit bawling on the passenger seat, Minoru could only sigh as they set off for Shin Kanjou CWL. As the Inline-4 engine hummed through the rev-meter, he glanced at Hellena, who had finally calmed down after several minutes of sulking. As if she knew, Hellena took a good look at Minoru, before taunting him.

“Idiot.”

Brown eyes barely flinch when he heard that. He continued driving, hitting the streets of Tokyo before he retaliated.

“Dimwit.”

Silver eyes squinted in controlled fury as her gnashing teeth voiced out, “Asshole.”

Minoru’s ears twitched, irritated by that. His tongue lashed, giving a reply.

“Bastard.”

Hellena’s patience was taken to the limit. So far, Minoru was the only master that could vex her to the brink of insanity.

“Piece of crap.”

Minoru’s patience, too, was taking its toll. Hellena sure is one tough lass, he thought.

“Midget.”

Attention everyone, Hellena and Minoru’s patience have left the building, or in this case, the coupe.

“Loser!” the lass scatted.

“Shorty!” the guy yelled.

“Useless piece of junk!”

“Flat-chested!”

“I’m not flat! I’m a C!” Hellena replied while feeling her bosoms.

“Well, it looks flat with that black shirt you’re wearing right now!” Minoru gnashed.

“Then how about you? You look like a duck!”

“I’m not! Then why do you pin your hair, looking like you have a comb over?”

“It’s trendy!”

“Oh…I see… Charlton hair!”

“W-what? How about you? Too anal to realise that you screwed up this car’s intercooler when you chased that Toyota Aristo!”

“Shut up!” Minoru scatted.

“You shut up!” Hellena cut Minoru’s sentence off.

“No, you shut up!”

“Argh!”

“Argh!”

Both of them went silent for a few moments, before the lass launched another series of quarreling. Even though they were in the Honda Prelude, their voices could still be heard at least two metres around them. Passers-by would stop to look at the duo having a lovers’ tiff. Soon after from verbal yellings, it broke out into a wrestling match between pissed off Hellena, and agitated Minoru. In a cartoony manner, smoke enveloped the fighting duo. In addition to that, the white coupe appeared to be humping, almost similar to someone having hydraulics installed in their cars.

Passers-by looked in disgust, thinking that the duo in the white Honda were making out. Inside, it was rather shocking that… Hellena was winning. There she was, choke-holding Minoru at the throat. Brown-eyed Minoru gagged, while trying to stop the materialized spirit called Hellena. Waving his arms in random, his right hand grabbed the collar of the lass’s black shirt, and pulled it downwards, baring her cleavage. She gasped, shocked. In a split second, the silver-eyed lass shoved Minoru away, and shielded her bosoms, with her face flushing red.

Minoru was at the driver’s seat, with his face plastered to the side window when he heard Hellena commenting, “P-pervert!”

He popped his head off the window, and retaliated, “Who says I’m a pervert? That was an accident!”

“Still a pervert,” she implied.

“I’m not a pervert! If so, why do you call me ‘master’? And why did you reply gleefully when I slapped your buttocks back then? You were so happy that I managed to slap your bum.”

Hellena’s face flushed red as beetroot. Her answers were mere stammers that Minoru could not make them out. She had never felt this embarrassed before. To add on that, this was the first time she had a physical fight with anyone, let alone her own master, Minoru Hasegawa. She never felt more human than before. Still blushing, she stole a look at Minoru, who had resumed with the driving. Silver eyes blinked with wonder in her mind. A thought ran into her mind, evaluating her current master.

“He’s different from the other masters I’ve had. He’s… approachable.”

She was about to steal another look of her master when they were rudely interrupted by a black Mazda RX-7 FC3S. She turned her attention to the coupe. Piercing grey eyes shot into her silver eyes. Hellena flinched. It was as if the driver of the Mazda wanted a battle with them. Even though in bright daylight, and in the streets of busy Tokyo, a pair of flip-up headlights coming from the stated coupe flashed at the rear view mirror of the Prelude. Before Minoru could think, his instinct kicked in.

“I hate being a street racer compared to the more challenging, and enticing highway racer, but there’s no choice in this situation. Hellena, hold on tight,” Minoru said with an agitated tone.

He floored the gas pedal. The front wheels lunged forward, pulling the coupe. Almost similar to the late F2 rally kit cars, the 320BHP Prelude steered early, turning to the corner of a T-junction. The Mazda gave chase, as its rear slid out a bit before it stabilized. Inside the FC3S, Nick found himself gnashing his teeth. His 800BHP Mazda FC3S was losing out to a coupe that had 480BHP less. Noticing the Honda hitting the highway, Nick sneered in delight. Wrong move midgets, he thought.

However, what he had not realized was that Minoru had lured him into the highway towards C1 Inner Loop, the section where it is shared by with Shin Kanjou CWL. As the front wheels of the Honda Prelude squealed while picking up speed, silver-eyed Hellena turned around to look at the Mazda FC3S. The unique sound made by its rotary engine had confirmed her prediction.

“Not a 13B rotary engine,” she muttered, while listening to the tune of the engine made. “It’s a 20B rotary engine from the Mazda Eunos Cosmo all right.”

And she was right. Under the hood of Nick’s FC3S lies a 20B engine coming from the Mazda Cosmo, top-of-the-line model. Initially, it had about 280BHP, but major modification, including sequential twin turbo, pushed it to 800BHP, with torque of a massive 900Nm. Such power from the engine required the Savanna to be reinforced, and a roll-cage installed. Sufficient funds and time had made this feat possible, at the expense of forgetting the suspension tuned. Till now, Nick still has yet to find the perfect suspension setup for the Mazda, till he saw the two of them in a Honda Prelude. Hence, his Mazda Savanna was not that much stabilized as he had expected it to be.

The rear of the Mazda slid out once again as it turned into the corner. The massive torque had the grey-eyed Nick struggling for control with the recently upgraded machine. Realising the part of the highway he was on chasing the Honda, he swore under his breath. This part of the highway was his ultimate disadvantage. The narrow two-lane, complete with twisty turns, highway meant that he was in for a beating, by a mere front wheel drive Honda Prelude. He bit his lip in frustration, before his ego took off.

“No way a pathetic inline-4 can outrun a 20B rotary engine. No way!” Nick swore, catching up with the white coupe.

A rather sharp corner followed by a road divider in between the two lane highway was coming up fast. Since Minoru’s Honda Prelude’s suspension was tuned similar to a World Rally Championship car, and possessing close ratio transmission, he had the upper hand. Hellena, who was wondering about Minoru leading the Mazda to this specific part of the highway, finally noticed the big advantage the Honda had. The close ratio transmission was one of the key configurations suitable in locations such as this section of the highway. Minoru steered early. The Honda understeered for a few moments before grip registered onto the grainy tarmac, clearing the corner with an ‘in-in-out’ technique. He punched the gear knob to 4th. The front wheels pulled the coupe violently, towards the outside lane. The road divider in the middle of the two lanes was next. Minoru and the Honda Prelude were already in lane, and was sure to clear it without any problems. However, what worried him was the chasing Mazda FC3S. Flooring the accelerator, what he could only hope was getting past the road divider before the rotary-engine coupe does.

The corner before the road divider had Nick struggling for dear life when the Mazda over-steered with such ease. What Nick needed to do to the suspension was stiffening the springs, adjust the dampers and stabilizers, and lower the ride height. He had made a fatal mistake by softening every single aspect of the suspension, and increased the ride height. The rear wheels still slid outwards, causing the coupe to point towards the inside lane. In desperation, he yanked the handbrake for a fraction of a second, and mashed the gas pedal to the carpet. The coupe lunged forward with immense velocity as it headed for the inside lane without losing stability.

“That was just too risky. I could have died back there,” he thought as cold beads of sweat ran down his face. “I made a big mistake with the suspension setup.”

Nick’s black Mazda was already catching up with the Honda Prelude. However, instead of sneering in delight, he was struck with fear. Beyond the road divider was a moderate incline, followed by a left corner decline, then finally a severe right corner. He never knew the driver of the Honda, who also drove the legendary, demonic Tommykaira R, was this smart to lure him into this section of the highway. He depressed the brake pedal by half. Something was not right. The brakes… it was not slowing down the coupe that much. Nick then floored the brakes. It performed half of what he had desired. In the process, the Mazda sped past the road divider, overtaking the Honda at that moment. At the speed he was in, it was too fast for the FC3S to clear it without damaging the coupe. Then, he realized the cause.

“The brakes! They were not upgraded! Now I know why it had mushy performance!” was his thought.

Minoru swore under his breath. The unstable Mazda miraculously took the inside lane and overtook just right after the road divider. Hellena observed the rotary-engine coupe as the brake lights went up. The Mazda did not slow down much. Her eyes widened, struck in fear.

“Minoru, avoid that FC3S! It can’t clear the corner at that speed!” she warned, which made brown-eyed Minoru panicking.

“D-damn! If he blocks the two lanes, we’re done for!” he bit his lip while realising what was going on.

Blowing past the road divider at 200kmh in 5th gear, brown-eyed Minoru floored the brakes. The engine screamed as he punched the gear knob to 3rd. Both coupes hit the incline, with the Mazda in the lead. In desperation, the rotary-engine coupe steered to the left, hard. The rear slid out violently. Due to its soft suspension tune up, the wheels barely have grip on the asphalt, that is, until the rear tyres registered it. Unexpectedly, the FC3S lunged forward, going from the outside lane, to the inside.

“Shit!” was Minoru’s remark when he was about to overtake on the inside lane.

He steered the Honda Prelude for the outside lane instead. Hellena panicked. In that very split second, the Honda and Mazda crossed each others’ paths, missing collision by a mere centimeter. The RX-7 stabilised after several struggling attempts to regain traction. On the other hand, like a front wheel drive rally car, the Honda Prelude understeered for a while on the left corner decline before it oversteered when gravity played its part. Minoru grinned. That oversteer was what he wanted to clear the upcoming severe right corner. Just as he saw a bit of the stated corner, Minoru steered the wheel, causing the rear to slide out excessively. The front tyres squealed furiously, dragging the coupe through the corner before it decided to head for the outside lane to exit the turn.

“Th-the Mazda!” he yelped, as Hellena heard it.

“It’s going to crash into us!” she replied the moment she checked the Mazda’s status.

Inside the Mazda FC3S, Nick was, once again, struggling for control when the coupe oversteered, and was lunging for the Honda that was changing lanes from inside, to outside. He floored the brakes. It did not do much to stop the 800BHP coupe. He tried steering the car away from the front wheel drive coupe. The soft suspension somehow degraded the handling, and barely turned. Nick gasped, in fear. It was as if death was after him, and rigged the FC3S. He shut his eyes, ready for collision. He heard a slight tap, followed by horrendous screeching from the right side of the car. The Mazda came to a halt. He opened his eyes.

There he was, in the black, rotary-engine coupe. Apparently, the Mazda had tapped the side of the Honda’s rear bumper, and the sudden supply of downforce sent him careening for the metal barriers, scraping against the right side of the coupe.

“Thank God. Thank God. Thank God,” was what Nick could only say soon after.

He stumbled out of the wrecked RX-7, and stared at the horizon, where the Honda Prelude disappeared from his vanishing point. In attempt to calm himself down, he leaned against the hood of the Mazda, and downed a can of cold coffee he had in the coupe.

“That driver. He knows about his Prelude extremely well, but not the Tommykaira R. He’s got a long way to go,” was Nick’s thoughts before he dialed the number of a towing service on his NEC cellphone. “Nick here. Get a tow-truck, now. Yes, I screwed up.”

… … …

Both Minoru and Hellena let out heavy sighs of relief. The Honda Prelude miraculously recovered from its powersliding moments before the Mazda tapped into the rear bumper and careened for the inside barriers. The battle was over. Minoru was the victor. Hellena flashed a smile towards him before congratulating.

“That battle was intense, master,” she purred, about to crawl towards Minoru, before noticing something out of picture.

From the distance, both of them took notice of a specific blue 1971 Nisan Fairlady HS30Z. The sound from its engine had a throaty growl, as if it was clawing someone to death. Minoru sped up a bit, catching up with the blue Nissan. Hellena’s eyes widened, struck in fear. Minoru took notice. There it was, Hellena’s former haunting coupe; the Lucifer Z. Brown eyes coming from Minoru’s tried to see the driver of the HS30Z, but failed to do so. It was as if a shadow was covering the driver’s face.

A split second later, it sped off, leaving tyre marks on the tarmac. Minoru did attempt to give chase, but it was futile. Moments later, the remains of the Lucifer Z was only its clawing growls and hellish grunts coming from its engine. Hellena grabbed Minoru’s left arm, catching the frustrated driver’s attention.

“It’s no use catching up, master. That… Lucifer Z has an L-28 engine, bored and stroked from 2800cc, to 3500cc. Not only that, it has massive twin turbo, and a small supercharger, making it a twin-charged coupe. Overall, the Lucifer Z has an overwhelming…800BHP, in a body weighing only about 1070kg,” she explained in detail.

Minoru’s hands froze before replying, “You’re kidding, right?”

Hellena did not answer. Minoru looked out of the side window, staring at the horizon while observing several cars, like the panda paint Toyota Trueno AE86, and the lime green Nissan Silvia S13, whizzed by. On the hurry I guess, he thought. The Tommykaira R weighs about 1450kg, which was heavier than the HS30Z. The Tommykaira R was already beaten in terms of power to weight ratio as well. He let out a sigh.

“The… Lucifer Z should have a weakness,” he muttered.

“Slippery handling, and overpowering acceleration,” was Hellena’s reply. “After all, I used to wield that coupe.”

“H-huh?”

I'm thinking of writing a book based on racing myself, but it's gonna be about American cars instead.

7th Stage
Once Again

Shin Kanjou CWL

The situation on both Shin Kanjou and Wangan sections of the highway seemed to have worsened ever since Minoru ‘defeated’ the ricer with the Honda Civic Sedan. More ridiculous looking cars seemed to have popped into the scene with weird music they called as ‘Racing Hip Hop’. Compared to trance, techno, and eurobeat that Minoru loved listening to, ‘Racing Hip Hop’ sounds alien to him, in fact a little offending. And it seems Hellena felt the same way, but royally disturbed when a movie titled ‘Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift’ reached Japanese shores.

“All Hell will break loose like wildfire,” silver eyed Hellena would comment every single moment whenever she hears the movie title.

And it was. The amount of ricers have skyrocketed, outnumbering the real highway racers. Often, Minoru would be challenged by mere ridiculous vehicles called as ‘cool cars’. Of course, he would turn them down by just slowing the Tommykaira, or exiting the highway. However, things have changed lately, as the ricer with the Honda Civic Sedan returned, with sputtering vengeance. And there he was, entering the highway with a restored, and upgraded Civic. The B16 SOHC engine was swapped for an RB25DET engine that pumped out a remarkable 600bhp. The FF drivetrain had undergone an AWD conversion, though power distribution was still biased to the front.

Yes, it may seem to sound more respectable as a proper highway car, but the biggest flaw comes from the suspension, brakes, and the body kit. The springs were softened to a point it reminded one for hydraulics. Some brake fluid had leaked during restoration, resulting a degrade on its performance, and the body kit, seemed to help the sedan pull away from the ground, and into the air. However, that did not prevent the ricer from his usual proud assumptions that his Civic was king of the Shutokou.

“Ah’ am da man! No ‘ne can beat me wit’ zis bling bling Civic of min’!” the ricer would boast at times.

… … …

“Look at them,” Minoru said, catching Hellena’s attention. “They look like rabid bugs on stilts. Look at that SRT-4. It’s as if a couple is humping while driving!”

The brunette blushed furiously before replying, “Err…Ah…Umm…”

“Guess you’re not that open-minded, eh?” the powerhouse grinned.

“Aww…Quit it!” Hellena complained.

“You know, ever since that ‘FNF’ movie was released, you either start your sentence with ‘aww’ or end it with ‘geez’. What’s up with that?”

“Aww… Maybe that how I really talk? Geez.”

“Or maybe both at the same time,” Minoru muttered before voicing out his next sentence. “Screw it.”

Hellena backed away from the powerhouse, pretending to look afraid, “Y-you want to screw me? Rock me senseless? You trying to-to-to rape me?”

“No, wait! That’s not what I meant!” Minoru panicked.

Hellena giggled, amused at the powerhouse’s reaction. However, Minoru’s attention was diverted from the road, causing the Tommykaira R they were in to be all over the place. Minoru attempted to regain control of the coupe, managing it after a few moments of swerving. He let out a heavy sigh, before glancing at the lass. From there, he realized; for a petite size, Hellena does have healthy, well-developed bosoms. A tinge of red flushed Minoru’s face, without him knowing.

The brunette took notice of Minoru staring at her only after re-adjusting her rather loose white tank top. She shield her bosoms with her arms, eyes glaring at the nosebleeding powerhouse. It was only the next few seconds before Minoru noticed he was bleeding from his nostrils.

“What? Never seen breasts before?” Hellena lashed.

Minoru never answered. Instead, he turned away, concentrating on his driving. Hellena’s face puffed up, a little furious. However, moments later, she let out a sigh, thinking that bickering over a small issue was pointless. But it was for the better, as a familiar sight caught both Minoru and Hellena’s attention.

“Oh no,” muttered Minoru. “Not him again.”

Right behind the Tommykaira R was the ricer’s Honda Civic Sedan, flashing high beams continuously. Hellena planted her face into her right hand, murmuring slurred vulgarities under her breath. She glanced at her master, Minoru. Somehow, he seemed… different.

“Shall we?” he said, in a royally annoyed tone.

Silver eyes blinked continuously for several seconds before Hellena agreed with a nod. Without another word, Minoru turned on the hazard lights of the blood red R, agreeing to the ricer’s challenge. Pumping the gear knob to 2nd, the rev meter increased from 3000rpm, to 7500rpm, at 150kmh. He bit his lip, waiting for the ricer to pull away in the awful, degraded look of a Honda Civic. Time went to a standstill for Minoru, eyes locked at the Honda Civic via the rear view mirror. Hellena glanced at the powerhouse; his eyes were filled with determination, and anger. She pondered, ruffling her hair to remove a hair clip. A loud boom from an exhaust pipe was heard.

Seconds later, the Honda Civic Sedan steered to the left, overtaking the Tommykaira. The brunette listened to the tone of the engine the Honda possessed. It caught her attention, to a point that she was staring at the Civic pulling away from them.

“He swapped his engine to an RB25DET. Judging from its acceleration, it’s about 550bhp,” Hellena muttered. “He’s serious about this.”

Minoru let out a grunt. For once, he was amused. The ricer managed to get something right for once. The powerhouse floored the gas pedal, and geared up to 3rd. A surge of acceleration had the duo in the Tommykaira glued to their seats for a moment. Minoru looked at the speedometer; 220kmh it read. His eyes then glared at the Civic, which was still pulling away.

“Now he’s talking business. I like it,” he gnashed, letting out a sarcastic remark.

Minoru steered the blood red R to the inner lane, where the Civic was. He then depressed the gas pedal, only three quarters. He glanced at the speedometer once again; 240kmh it read. By then, the surroundings were just split second images. Civillian vehicles seemed to be moving at a snail’s pace. However, that did not bother him much. What agitates the annoyed powerhouse was the Honda Civic that was still increasing the gap in between them; now at 100 metres.

Now waiting any longer, Minoru yanked the gear knob to 4th, and floored the accelerator to the carpet. As if a demon was released from its cage, the roaring engine turned into a screaming howl, telling everyone its presence in the Shutokou. The wheels spun furiously, smoke emitting from the tyres. The blood red R lunged forward, caused by the new found grip and acceleration. A truck cab was in Minoru’s way. He turned to the outer most lane a split second later. The Tommykaira responded. It switched lanes, cutting in between two luxury VIP sedans before proceeding to the desired lane. The rear wheels slid to the outside slightly, centimetres from hitting the road divider. Minoru tapped the brakes and counter-steered slightly before mashing the gas pedal.

“Switchin’ lanes eh? Ya ain’t gonna beat me by overtakin’! Ah will be victorious! Nay one will defeat me, da king of Shitokouh! I am the shiet and I will be the shiet!” thought the ricer before steering the Civic to the outermost lane as well, pumping the gear knob to 4th, hitting 270kmh.

Minoru bit his lip, till a trail of blood dribbled down his chin. The ricer was better than he had thought. He punched the gear knob to 5th, hitting 285kmh. The gap in between the two cars was beginning to shorten, agitating the ricer, who had been listening to his hip-hop song. Hellena fiddled around with the switches on the dashboard, till she hit the ‘Power’ button on the stereo system by accident.

“Hey, what song is it playing?” asked the Hellena with amusement.

“The song does not matter. But if you must know, it’s ‘Right Now’ by Dark Angel,” warned Minoru.

He went full tilt on the accelerator, slip-streaming behind the Honda Civic Sedan. A sign caught his eyes for a split second. “Wangan” it read. He bit his lip, at the same spot where it was bleeding. Minoru had yet to hit 300kmh in the Tommykaira R. In fact, the Honda Prelude managed to top only 270kmh, and now, he was tapping 295kmh. The real race had begun. He glanced at the Honda, which was still in the lead. A long left corner came as the two cars steered without braking. The ricer’s Honda leaned into the corner, as the soft suspension struggled to keep the sedan in lane. The rear slid out, not able to take the stress anymore.

“Shiet!” the ricer yelped.

He counter-steered, trying to regain traction. Front tyres squealed, pulling the Civic out of the situation. The ricer let out a heavy sigh, before pumping the gear knob to 5th, hitting 310kmh. He bit his lip. 330kmh was the top speed of his Civic. He glanced at the rear view mirror, looking for the Tommykaira R. No where to be found. Fear began to plague him for no apparent reason. Bright red light coming from another pair of headlights caught his attention. The blood red R, he thought, eyes wide open. There it was, his rival; the Tommykaira R, right exactly next to his Honda Civic Sedan.

Minoru steered hard as his foot tried to balance acceleration with grip. The rev meter had red-lined at 9500rpm, engine screaming at him to gear up to 6th. 305kmh was read on the speedometer. His mind was blank a moment later; fear no longer a factor to worry. The longest straightaway was next. Minoru hesitated for a moment, hand gripping on the gear knob. The two cars cleared the corner at the same time. The Honda began to pull away, short blasts of fire spitting out from the quad-exhaust pipes. That sparked Minoru’s reaction, voicing out four words.

“Let’s go, Berserker R!”

Minoru Hasegawa yanked the gear knob to 6th. Hellena took notice of it as well. The rev meter dropped to 6500rpm, at 310kmh. The female brunette glanced at her master, nodding in agreement, though her forehead was breaking out in cold sweat. Minoru floored the accelerator. The engine responded a millisecond later; the Tommykaira began to speed up, tailing the leading Honda Civic Sedan. Minoru steered to the right, avoiding a Mitsubishi Galant. By then, Minoru had realized that civilian vehicles seemed like stationary blocks obstructing the road. A hint of fear sat into his concentration.

“Keep going; being in fear right now is meaningless,” Hellena advised, rather out of the blue.

Minoru never answered. The Tommykaira was centimetres away from the Civic’s rear bumper. 325kmh was read on the speedometer. A tunnel was coming up ahead. The lanes were empty. That sparked Minoru’s urge to hit the next lane, and make the kill. As the two cars entered the tunnel, Minoru made his move. He steered the blood red R to the next lane. The Honda followed suit, blocking Minoru’s chance. He bit his lip. He attempted once again, this time on the inner most lane. The Civic reacted a second later. A small gap was there; Minoru’s chance to overtake. Hellena hung for dear life as the blood red R squeezed through the gap between the Civic and the road shoulder.

The ricer’s Honda Civic’s grip was taking its toll; the front tyres were no longer produced needed traction to turn. He floored the brakes; rubber squealed violently, yet not much speed was reduced. The left side of the Civic scraped against the wall of the tunnel. At that moment, the Tommykaira R screamed its way out of the situation, just moments away from the front of the Honda colliding the R’s rear. As the Tommykaira R rushed its way out of the tunnel, it disappeared into the night, leaving its screaming, howling echoes of the engine. The Honda Civic did not end its trouble there. Instead, the rear came into collision with a barrier that was somehow sticking out of the shoulder. Fear struck the ricer as the rear came into collision with it. Inertia then sent the rear of the Honda onto the opposite direction, with a left rear tyre flying over head.

“Please, don’t!” went the driver of the Honda before the tyre came crashing into the windscreen with a horrendous crack.

A truck cab came out of nowhere, barreling towards the moving wreckage of the Honda Civic. The ricer gasped at the inevitable as he screamed at his highest.

“Damn it! No!”

Wonder if you know, how they live in Toky-

A horrendous screech was heard, followed by a loud boom; the engine had exploded. The music halted. The ‘bling’ that the ricer had worn over his neck shot out of the shattered window, settling onto the tarmac before a civilian vehicle ran over it, making it worthless. Everything ceased. The civilian car and the truck cab came into a halt, looking at the wreckage that used to be a butchered Honda Civic. A ‘tsk’ came out from the driver of the car, knowing that it would occur one night as a song leaked out from his vehicle.

...You live your life like you’re some kind of actor
But this scenario you cannot manufacture!

We’re gonna need some action
We’re gonna need some action soon!
Trapped in a world of ordinary madness!
It’s all the same, there’s nothing new!

“These drivers think that they own a race car when they actually own an economical box. Good riddance to them.”

As crimson fluid leaked out from the wreck, the driver of the truck cab contacted for an ambulance and police, knowing that it was his responsibility doing so, though he was disgusted that the wreck was a waste of a vehicle.

Where’d you learn how to be so complacent?
They beat you down and you might as well face it
Your heroes lied, yeah they’re all just a fake!
Don’t know how much more of this I can take!

We’re gonna need some action
We’re gonna need some action soon!
Trapped in a world of ordinary madness!
It’s all the same, there’s nothing new!

… … …

Minoru slumped against his back as the blood red R decelerated considerably. Another victory for him, but it did not count as one for the powerhouse. Something felt painful in is heart as he should have known something had went wrong back then; he felt defeated. He had thrown away something from within; the price of his life. He felt insecure, and afraid. A warm palm met his face; Hellena’s.

“Guess your top speed,” she chuckled, though in cold sweat. “350kmh.”

Minoru’s eyes widened. He never knew he had hit such a speed. However, before he could think next, a familiar howl of a twin-charged engine was heard. Hellena swiveled, looking at the side mirror. Silver eyes widened.

“The Lucifer Z!”

A sense of urgency hit Minoru. Gearing down to 5th, he floored the gas pedal, allowing the Berserker R to speed up, once again. His eyes glared at the rear view mirror, looking at the pair of white orbs called headlights.

“I challenge you to a battle, Lucifer Z!” he voiced out his thought.

Who knows? Maybe making the Tommykaira's engine from a twin-turbo to a twin-turbo-supercharged (Twin turbo + supercharger) one... We may never know. tongue.gif

(OOC: I'm only up to the 8th stage. So, yeah, it'll be quite a while before the 9th stage pops in.)

8th Stage
Disturbance

Rain began to pelt down as it began to moisten the dry asphalt on the Shuto Highway. Two pairs of headlights appeared from the horizon before the shrieking and screaming from the two coupes were heard. Taking the lead was a midnight blue Lucifer Z while the one trailing happened to be a blood red Berserker R. As they hit the incline of a connecting bridge to Yokohane inbound, sparks fly as the base of the chassis scraped against the grainy tarmac. The impact had Minoru in the Tommykaira whining for a while about losing his spine, and that somehow managed to amuse the petite Hellena.

“Less whining, more driving!” warned the brunette, as her eyes glanced at the side mirror, looking for the blue Nissan.

The right corner came earlier than expected. Kicking the brakes harshly, Minoru then geared down to 3rd before turning the wheel swiftly to the right. With the asphalt now wet by the pouring rain, traction was reduced; hence the blood red R soon found itself slipping for the outside barriers. Trying not to panic, he tapped the brakes and feathered the gas; a remedy to regain traction. It did work, making the blood red R regain the grip required; at a loss of speed. Silver eyes gazed in shock when she witnessed the Lucifer Z dealing the right hander; cutting onto the inside of the apex before its rear began to slide outwards, careening for the outside barriers. One would expect the blue coupe to crash to it and cease the battle, but it never came. As if grip had registered without warning, like a jet, it sped off while gaining a huge lead from Minoru’s R.

Kicking the accelerator, the Japanese powerhouse then pumped the gearbox to 4th. A blast of flames spat out from the exhaust pipes before a harsh thrust sent the blood red coupe clearing the corner, catching up with the Z. 300kmh was seen on the speedometer when the Tommykaira managed to shorten the gap to 10 metres. Brake lights from the blue coupe lit up, allowing the blood red R to catch up. That annoying Minoru. It was as if his opponent was not taking him seriously. Steering onto an empty lane on the left, Hellena glanced at the road ahead; fear soon struck her. The two-lane road converging into one. Silver eyes then spun, looking at her master, Minoru.

“The road’s converging into one!”

The Japanese bit his lip in frustration. He could no longer being the one chasing the adversary. Instinct overcame strategy as Minoru literally welded the gas pedal to the carpet. Pumping the gearbox to 6th, the Tommykaira found itself next to the Lucifer Z as the two coupes battle it out to gain the lead while the two lanes began to narrow into one. The Z, having a smaller body structure, edged its way forward before a gear change in a form of a furious whine was heard. Raindrops pelted onto the windscreens of both vehicles with such ferocity, as if to hinder their view from an oncoming right corner, then a decline to Yokohane Inbound. The road barriers soon closed in, merely centimeters from the bodies of the two speeding coupes.

310kmh was soon displayed on the speedometer, but it did not catch Hellena’s attention. Instead, dread dawned on her; the road barriers had been extended, only enough for one vehicle to pass. Minoru took attention of the barriers only several seconds later, after taking his eyes off the damned blue Z. Panic set in, slamming onto the brake pedal. To make matters worse, the rear wheels locked up, even though it had Anti-lock Brakes System installed in the Tommykaira. The protruding road barriers were becoming clearer by the moment. Minoru had little time to react, but it was a last ditch attempt. Releasing the brakes, he shoved the gear knob to 1st and hammered the gas, then braking again. The front wheels turned to the right, hoping to simply miss the barriers and come to a full stop. Unfortunately, the blood red R had other ideas when it understeered. Hellena panicked at the thought of crashing, and it was coming true indirectly. The front of the R swerved away from the barriers, but the rear took a heavy beating.

“Agh!” yelped the petite brunette when the heavy impact took place.

Inertia played its ugly head as the rear of the R collided into the barriers hard. The rear windscreen shattered by the immense force as the rear bumper and spoiler came partially detached. However, before Minoru and Hellena could think, the coupe slingshot to the opposite direction with its rear again colliding onto the inside barriers. The impact sent the duo hitting the dashboard even though they had worn two-point seatbelts. The Tommykaira ceased. Its engine was idling for a moment before it cut off. Silence went through, except for the rain pelting against the shell of the coupe. Hellena, though shaken by the crash, she was still abele to make out between left and right. Her attention soon turned to Minoru, who had hit the steering wheel hard. There he was, blood streaming from his forehead as he muttered out.

“I…lost,”

Passing out soon after, Hellena panicked at that moment before grabbing Minoru’s cellphone to contact Aikawa. The growl of the Lucifer Z lingered on, as if mocking on their near-fatal defeat. Hellena knew, there was something about the Lucifer Z this time- wait. It was not the coupe; it was the driver, there was something familiar about it. However, she could not worry about that first. What she needed to do now is getting her master for aid, fast.

“Minoru, hold on!”

… … …

Several days passed uneventfully, especially for the Japanese powerhouse called Minoru Hasegawa. It was unusual for him to slump on the couch, and sigh pitifully. The Tommykaira had a damaged rear, all the way to its side fenders. The engine was all right, but the bolt-on twin-turbo seemed to have been damaged by the collision. The blood red R was already sent for repairs, but the amount of the bill asked, Minoru had to loan some hefty amount of cash from Ryou. After all, that Lamborghini driver did come from a rich background, but it still had the powerhouse feel guilty of loaning the money from him.

Popping her head into the living room was Hellena, who was concerned about her master. She had persuaded him to take a cruise in his Honda Prelude, but to no avail. Another heavy sigh left Minoru’s mouth as his left hand groped a television controller, switching channels until a program managed to grasp his attention, barely that is.

“What’s the ugliest car ever made?” asked one of the three hosts.

“The Mazda MX-5,” replied one of the audiences.

“You stupid man!” countered the same host. “You call the MX-5 ugly?”

That minor event made Minoru chuckle for a moment. Guess there were car shows with hosts that talk back to the audiences. But even so, he soon found himself sighing again. A chilly left palm from Hellena had Minoru shaken up as he shot off from the couch, aiming a finger at her.

“Wh-wha?” sputtered the powerhouse. “You know your body temperature is comparable to a ghost, right?”

“I am a ghost, idiot boy,” replied the petite lass as her eyes narrowed. “Now then, you know that you’re not acting like your usual ape-shit prancing horse these days. That Tommykaira will be repaired, just be patient. No point sulking like a baby.”

Minoru looked away, somehow disappointed at himself, “I know.”

“Well, if you know about it, then why don’t you get back to your own self, monkey brain?” shot Hellena, name calling her master on purpose.

“Look, I tried!” the Japanese fumed. “But I just can’t bother doing so! Aikawa’s still holding the title of ‘Ace of Yokohane’, Ryou is putting a fierce fight at Yokohama, and heck, even Kagura’s a formidable rival at C1 ShinKanjou. But me? I’m goofing off like a loser!”

“Well, from all the highway sections you have mentioned, there’s one place you can conquer,” the silver eyed lass implied.

“That is?” went Minoru, picking up interest.

“The Wangan Highway; the one with the longest straights in Japan,” answered Hellena with a deepening tone.

“That section, huh?” barged in Ryou with an Asahi beer in his hands. “With the Tommykaira out for quite a while, your Honda Prelude can’t actually cut it. It’s only good at C1, and that’s it.”

“Then I’m still out, right?” said Minoru, sulking in one corner, poking the cream white wall.

“That’s where my old car comes in,” replied the rich man. “Follow me.”

… … …

“Hey, Ryou?” asked Minoru in a rather amused tone.

“Huh?” went the tall, beer-loving man.

“You said you came from a rich background, right?”

“Yeah, you can see proof; my Lamborghini.”

“Then why the freaking hell does your garage look like a pig sty?” Hellena shot in. “Unbelievable!”

Indeed, it was true. Standing right before the trio was Ryou’s ‘pig sty’ called a garage. The light source came from a lonesome filament bulb that barely helped with vision. Hinges from the doors and cabinets hung loose, most of them dominated in rust. The concrete flooring was covered with grime and oil stains, and cockroaches zipping through from a furniture to another. However, what stuck out from the garage was a white, pristine, 4-door saloon sitting on four fresh Pirelli tyres. Enkei multi-spoke rims were installed, complementing the overall image of the saloon. A carbon GT wing was fitted on the boot, providing much needed rear downforce. Side fenders and wheel rods were extended by some several millimetres, lowering the centre of gravity and increased stability. A Toyota emblem was spotted on the saloon’s grille. By then, Minoru knew that he may have a chance.

“Here it is; the Toyota Chaser Tourer V. It used to be the one dominating Yokohama before I realized it was already at its peak. It’s sad that Toyota ceased its production. It was a great saloon,” Ryou uttered, shifting between sober and drunk.

“How much power does it have now?” asked Minoru with excitement.

“780bhp. A roll-cage is installed to increase safety for all four people,” Ryou popped.

“Wait, you installed a roll-cage, but the rear seats are not removed?” was Hellena’s amused question.

“Call it ‘innovation’, Jigoku Shoujo,” he replied, obviously entering the ‘drunk’ region.

“I’m no Hell Girl, idiot,” the brunette piped.

“Screw that,” Ryou then tossed the keys to the excited powerhouse. “Use the Chaser until the Tommykaira is well repaired. Good luck.”

Without hesitation, Minoru dived into the driver’s seat while Hellena was dragged into it, tossed into the passenger seat. Chaos soon ensued as the petite brunette began pelting harmless punches at her master after realizing her busts were groped accidentally by him. Minoru could not bother by her little complaint as he ignited the engine of the saloon. A soft hum was heard before a screeching whine followed through. Initially a single turbocharged saloon, Ryou had aftermarket twin turbo installed, taking advantage of the engine. Minoru’s eyes glanced at Ryou, who in return, gave a smirk and a thumb up. As such, the enthusiastic Japanese released the handbrake of the Chaser as he puts it into gear. Rear wheels pushed the saloon out of the damned garage before bellows from the aftermarket exhaust pipe was heard with such ferocity. As the white Toyota disappeared into the thin mist, Ryou gazed at it before his mouth croaked.

“The Toyota Chaser Tourer V; also known as ‘The Ghost Chaser’.”

“You really did it, huh?” said a familiar lass, standing right next to Ryou, who was now tipsy.

“What can I do, Aikawa? I owe him a favour,” he replied before a faint hiccup left his mouth.

“Seems so-hey!” the petite 20 year old yelped when Ryou wrapped his arms around her. “What are you doing?”

“I’m sleepy…” croaked the rich man before dozing off completely.

“Hmph,” muttered Aikawa before a faint smile formed on her mouth. “He maybe an idiotic rich man, but he has an innocent mind, even with beer.”

… … …

ShinKanjou CCL

Minoru somehow managed to get a gist how the Chaser handled as they drove through the Rainbow Bridge, on route to Wangan Highway. Silver eyes from Hellena glanced at her master, a bit skeptical on how he handles the saloon.

“You know, I don’t seem to understand one point; are you always this adaptable with cars? It’s uncanny. A normal person would have taken more pre-cautionary measures when driving an unfamiliar car,” said the brunette.

“Well, I don’t know myself as well. I just go with the flow,” replied Minoru, now cheerful.

“So, my master is a simpleton as well. No wonder you crashed the Tommykaira R,” Hellena rolled her eyes as she stated the obvious.

“Please, don’t remind me on that,” Minoru brooded on the fact.

However, oblivious to their surroundings, another four door saloon, a black Nissan Gloria, tailed the Chaser from a distance; obviously fascinated by its presence. Tessa bit her lip, trying to resist the temptation to initiate a battle, but the urge was overwhelming. No longer taking the urge, the German flashed the high beam lights of her Gloria at the Chaser, requesting for a challenge.

“Damn you, Ryou Shima. Why did you return? Why are you still driving?” Tessa muttered under her breath. “Didn’t I tell you to get lost if you lose to me? God damn it.”

As the Nissan Gloria made its way next to the Chaser, lifeless eyes from the German glanced at the driver of the white saloon, only to find herself stumped, “W-what? It’s them!”

She recognized who they were; the ones who lost control of the Tommykaira R when she launched a surprise challenge few weeks ago. But that was not the point. The question was ‘why’. Why were they driving in a four-door saloon that belonged to Ryou, and not their usual two-door coupe? No matter, the ultimate goal for Tessa remained firm; she had to defeat the machine, not the driver, once again. As Tessa launched the battle by taking a big lead, Minoru and the Chaser soon gave chase, lighting the indicator to turn right; towards Wangan Highway. Tessa obliged to his request, and slipped her car into the connecting bridge for the stated highway. As Minoru pumped the gear knob to 5th, a thrust of acceleration lunged the Chaser closer to the black Nissan as a loud roar was heard.

“Let’s go!” exclaimed Minoru, while Hellena held onto the two-point seatbelt.

Actually, the descriptions of the characters are explained in the story itself. O_o. I'll extract the parts...

Paragraph description of Minoru, split into parts...

-He sported black hair that had a wet look with sideburns that looked as if it had been chopped off poorly.

-One may pass Minoru off as a lanky, typical geek, but he is not. Many of his fellow friends call him the ‘Powerhouse’ as Minoru happens to be the most active person.

-Extremely active that he could even go jogging after fours hours of training in the gymnasium, and even have enough energy to play badminton.

-Even though standing at 175cm, there was one flaw. And that concerns about his urge for speed. He loved the adrenaline rush earlier on.

-If you want a visual image on how close Minoru looks like, take a look at Kyou Sohma from Fruits Basket. From there, work your way through. tongue.gif

As for Hellena, the image is hard to get, but I have it... Lightly based on this controversial picture

-She had unique auburn shoulder length hair that goes well with the simple white, rather low-cut T-shirt with red sleeves that looks as if it was a size smaller than her actual size, and off grey denim shorts that barely reached the middle part of her thighs.

-The red, white, and black sports shoes she wore looked somewhat an antique as it was no longer in production for over a decade.

- Hellena had rare, silver coloured eyes that were streaked with various shades of black and brown, complements well with her sharp-eye look.

- Height is 160cm

And.. err... pics of the Tommykaira R?

I have 3 here...
