I hate StepMania for it's gay DDR grading. I am a Pump It Up player and when I play some songs on it, I get gay DDR crap-grading at the end. But sometimes when I'm bored I play DDR on it, because I have the whole DDR eXTreme pack ( songs, announcers, skin, theme, etc...) And when I do play DDR on it I usually play songs that are 9+

I used to be in the top 5 players in Canada (DDR, not Stepmania) when Extreme hit arcades, but then life happened and I didn't have as much time to keep up.

Right now I'm on a 74 AA streak of Chaos on Supernova. Yes, in the arcade, not at home. Trying to AA it 100 times in a row, I have them all on video, lol.

Those who don't know, Chaos is the OMES (one more etxra stage) on supernova. OMES settings are 1x normal scroll sudden death, so if you get a good or lower, you lose.

I also play ITG/PIU/IIDX/DMGF.....pretty much all Bemani.

Guitar Hero is a blatant ripoff of Guitarfreaks, which is in it's 14th version now! Rock Band is another ripoff of Drummania, which can also be linked to Guitarfreaks just like Rock Band to GH.

............I'm passionate about my music games.

Oh, we were talking about Stepmania? I play stepmania online every now and then, I think I was ranked around 20th in the world at one point but I haven't played for a while so I don't know where I am now.

But isn't GuitarFreaks and Guitar Hero both by Konami?

*looks*

Nope, Redoctane and Activision. Eh, I don't really care for GF and GH.

Yesh, just, you use the arrow keys instead of an actual pad.
You CAN use the pad, if you want to at home, but it's a painsetting it up >.>

You need to let me know when you're gonna be at GW soI can bring the laptop x.x

Pads @ home are not good, prone to slipping if your not careful and there is not bracer bar to hold onto (don't substitute a chair, it NEVER works lol)

Back when passers-by made fun of us for playing it and calling us fags and mimicking us......essentially before it became mainstream pop culture, using the bar was frowned upon.

If you so much as touched the bar, someone slapped your hand to get it off. We all passed the newest songs with no bar, and we knew how to play too.

These days, nobody can play DDR on 1x, on flat, no-bar, reverse, or even do crossovers. It's pretty sad to me how the game "evolved" to a bunch of people jumping from basic to expert and not learning the game, and then failing miserably when they think they're doing hard stuff.

I make stepcharts all the time, infact I'm making a large set of them to use in a customs tournament I'm holding in Toronto this summer, and some "top-tier" players actually complain when I put crossovers in my songs.....like.....what? Ltp.

Yeah I really don't like speedplayers who can only do one really stamina-draining BORING-ASS charts that lack of creativity and technical skill. There are many players like that, throw a crossover in a chart and they trip over their own feet.

I can't wait for the customs tournament!

I make my own charts too. I personally think I suck at them, but then my boyfriend and a few of my friends say that they're good.

I'm actually helping my bf make step charts for a few songs for his Official-Unofficial MungyoDance Pack :3

And, I'm still in the process of make a step chart for a 2 hour song...Which has taken me almost a year so far xD
