used to to 1st person in ver 1 & 2. and then in ver. 3 i use 3rd person

1st person for life.

Speaking of which, F-Zero GX fails horribly at that.

You mean F-Zero AX arcade? That's so true... I'm always driving in 1st person view. For the complicated course Hakone; 3rd person.

Hiace's 1st person view is so good, it seems so slow since the view is highup, and even if i cam bumping to the other cars rear, i can still see what's ahead haha

hmm, does anyone notices that when u are on 3rd person, ur screen shakes when u are over 300+? that's one reason y i dont like 3rd besides on hakone, coz u can never go over 300+ there

I use first person for TA, and for battles on Hakone. Otherwise, its third person view for me.

back when i played wmmt2 i used 1st person all the time then when i switched over to wmmt3 i now use 3rd person and when i battle with 3 people i use first person to block the other people from winning so either me or my friend win.

First person view on Hakone, third on the freeway.

3rd person wen im battling or just swayin around for fun, eg. easy storylines. and first person wen I really need to do it. But whenever I get into corners I tend to lik it in 3rd person, so I can see how close my car is to the barrier.

1st person all the way. The only time I went to 3rd person is when i took the wing off and added blue neons. It looked so hot when drifting but thats about it. 1st person I just concentrate better

3rd person, its what I choose to play in most games except for shooters and racing games with crappy 3rd person views/weird physics (Initial D).

3rd person view.. this view is much easier.. hehehe!!

3rd is easier for mt3...

but 1st is easier for hakone...

I prefer 3rd for mt3 when im serious...

I see first person and third person are roughly tied in the poll. Interesting that it's half-and-half.

I use first-person-view exclusively. I just know where the extremities of the car are, and make adjustments in cornering to keep them from touching the wall. It's nice to have a fixed, stable camera to do this, though Wangan's third-person camera isn't as bad as Initial D's.

to me it feels like ur controlling da actual car and 3rd person feels like u have to keep an eye on not to crash, but still need to know how to control it


i need to learn how to play 3rd since its so much better and has more advantage than 1st

I'm not the one to wonder how anyone can play 1st - they just do. I prefer third over first because you get a bit of a bird's-eye view to see stuff to the side of your car since anything in your rear quarter doesn't escape much notice if you pay attention to the pipper at the bottom and the rangefinder in the corner. Once you get the hang of it, you can pretty much guesstimate how close they are to kissing your bumper. But I've tried my hand at first-person - can't say I've had much success since I lose focus while glancing at the rear-view mirror, which is why I use 3PS but switch to 1PS to check my six when the opponent gets a bit close.

And I also agree on the cons of 1PS - your depth perception to the nearest obstacle/vehicle is sorta hampered, making squeezing and turning a bit more complicated. But to each their own, I guess.

always use 3rd person
if use 1st person, can see the car, so cant drive smooth between traffic

i prefer to use 3rd person cuz its more fun wen u can see ur car and around the area!

with Hiace, theres no way to use 3rd person. 1st person in hiace is great though
