Are you the Kai Kogashiwa type (Initial D flying blue MR2 guy)
or the normal but quick at switching from gas to brake & V/V?

oh yeah I got a question,
I don't use the brakes to be honest, coz my friends told me not to lol
but do you really need to use the brakes? coz I just adjust the speed using the gears, so which one is better? using the gear or brakes?

Two red turns on Hanshin require the brake unless you walltap, and even then...

There's one red turn though that you should come out of at around 270 without letting off the gas or braking.

I use my left foot to brake in MT3, irl I use my right foot.

I am one who uses left foot braking. I have been used it it for quite a while.

I brake on the corners as necessary, especially on a few C1 and Hanshin corners. As long as I don't hit the walls and/or it makes my TA time lower, I'll be satisfied and happy of the fact that I used the brakes.

I left foot because if I don't, then my left foot is useless! It'll cramp up!

If there was a clutch (like Battle Gear 4) perhaps I would be right-foot braking. As it is its more practical to do so. It also frees up my right foot to dance with the throttle. :D

It'll still create a smoother transition for your car during cornering but only from braking into accelerating. It does nothing for your shifting.

From track experience I do both left foot and heel toe depending on which is more convenient or comfortable for me. Typically when one is racing in the same gear or has a non clutch transmission. Almost all real race drivers will tell you that left foot braking is superior to having to do some form of heel toe. Look at F1 drivers. All the best of them use left foot braking during a race and almost never use the right to brake.

Heel-toe is when you use your right foot to control both the gas and the brakes at the same time...heel on the gas...toes on the brakes...hence the name heel-toe...

If done correctly it usually results in smooth down-shifting and are usually applied during corner entry...

That's about what i know about heel-toe...: \

Yes I use left-foot braking. Most professional race drivers, particularly if the car has no clutch pedal (eg semi-automatic or for example the behind-the-steering-wheel paddle shifters like those used in F1 cars) do so. It's the best way to induce oversteer by "playing" with the brakes and gas.

I rarely use the brake. My "Difference in the way you brake" thread changed that. People said that they didn't use the brake a whole lot, so I've stopped doing it.

If you read the last part of my post from that link above about my plan on sending a video, well... I didn't video record it... so I'll show you two WMMT2 Story battles that I put on YouTube:

Reina vs. Tatsuya Race 1

Reina vs. Tatsuya Race 2

Two failed races.

ur correct :P

just to add on (real life) , with clutch control and heel toe technique,
you can make your car perform a well controlled drift. ( Of course!! definately not on a commercial car or you'll end up crashing / flipping ). And don't forget the stress your tires and engine have to endure. :P

left foot for braking helps decreases the time between letting go of the gas and braking.

that's why many players use left foot braking in arcade games.
