Lol. The 86 is too godly for me. Can't even bear to look at it directly. My eyes aren't worthy enough.

Yeah but when I drive an AE86 I feel like Takumi. Only 100x more worse.

almost agree
it's more like
-ZN6
-AE86
-MR2
-2000GT
-JZA80

tbf jza80 probably slides less now in 5DX than in 5

Any JZA 80 driver here? I wonder how will I maximize the potential of it as its kinda tricky to drive on curvy tracks even though I learned how to use the brake pedal but on straight lines it does shine while on ghost battles some ghosts are like cheaters due to how the hell they run so fast despite we had the same hp even at 830.

I only drive at 830 in straight line tracks like the Wangan line and some speed rings like Nagoya. On other tracks its from 720 to 780 hp but usually at 740 due to 720 is kinda slow due to weight.

Here are the optimal setups for each course:

C1: 700/B-720/B
New Belt Line: 720/B or 760/D
Shinjuku: 680/G
Ikebukuro: 680/G or 700/B
Wangan: Just 830/DG
Yokohane: 800/DG or 830/DG
Yaesu: 700/B or 720/B
Yokohama: 800/DG
Nagoya: 800/DG
Osaka: 760/D
Kobe: 640/HG or 660/G
Fukuoka: 720/B or 740/B
Hakone: 720/B or 760/D
Mt Taikan: 700/B or 720/B at Downhill and 760/D at uphill.

I usually go around 740 on many tracks and one time had been to Hakone at around 720 or 740 I forgot. Surprised the optimal setup for Kobe is 640 or 660 where I get to run on it at 740.

Kobe has a lot of technical corners and there's corners with a tollbooths so that's why 640 or 660 is the best setup there.

Just use TA hp for each course, if you cant control it that means you need more pratice

C1 inward, yaesu, fukuoka, taikan down:720
C1 outward and ikebukuro:700
Shinjuku:680
Kobe:660
Nbl ccw, osaka, taikan up, hakone inbound and outbound:760
Wangan, yokohane, nbl cw:830
Yokohama and nagoya:800

Good that I got the opinion about the JZA 80 here in terms of performance as it does shine on battles depending on the track and the skill of other players. Just need to beef up my curving skills and I know its weaknesses already.

It has zero catch up. Not nearly as bad handling as it was in 5, but you're not catching up if you screw up.

Haven't looked at the tach while playing in a long time but does the AE86 shift faster than others? Noticed that the tach maxes out at 7k RPM while my FD maxes at around 8k. Not sure if it makes the car faster or slower by any means though. Also not sure if my shifting is just off when using this car.
