MT5 is UP AND RUNNING at Round 1 Arlington and Round 1 Grapevine!! I haven't gotten to go yet, will definitely check out Grapevine sometime Sunday. Hopefully other locations in Texas will get this eventually. You'd think Dave & Busters would be a shoe-in but... who knows.

Anyway, any other Texans here? Post up!! w00t2.gif

I'm glad there's a thread for Texas players. I live in the Houston area. Sadly, Houston has been a dead-spot for Maximum Tune for 5 years. I'm hoping an arcade in Houston gets WMMT5 soon.

Alright, good to see other Texans still on this forum! Although this thread should be named "Texas Thread Version 2" since there was another Texas Thread made on here years ago. Just a minor thing though. Don't mean to come off as rude.
Like the user above me, I'm also in the Greater Houston Area and the dead-spot comment is nothing but true.
Speakin' of Shotguns, that's exactly what a team name should be for one of the teams here lol.
When the game shows up in more places, we should race each other's ghosts and have cool battles!

No z/28's for now, but a nice C3 Stingray with the American flag sticker with Shotguns? Now we're cooking!
Speakin' of Chevys, I plan on tuning a ZR1. Cool car.

Oh hi Vash. What's up?
That C3 would look cool.
There's also the Charger. Speaking of MOPAR, I know a friend who I went to school with who's going to use the Viper. Very cool stuff, especially since that isn't a common car I don't think.

Hello! I just checked out the grapevine cabs and started working on a car, if anyone wants to meet up for races sometime let me know. I live about halfway between arlington and grapevine so I can go to either Round 1.

I play at both since I'm in Fort Worth, Arlington is slightly closer but it's less desirable due to the amount of unruly teens/kids that hang out there, especially in the afternoons and evenings. Also I work right near Grapevine so I could stop by after work but I usually play on weekends.

Both Arlington and Grapevine seem to have a fairly active player base with a few crossover players though.

Post your card names if you want so we can throw you some ghost battles or know who you are if we see you lol.

I play as Ramaj, usually an R34 GT-R but I have a Mazda 6 MPS that I've started up on the side.

edit: Also our team is the (star350kmhstar) with (star) being the star symbol, not the asterisk, race us, join us, or fear us, etc.

Oh so you're Ramaj? I think I ghost battled your ghost in SoCal a few days ago. Sorry but the new ghost battle system only let's us battle active players. No more fake ghosts and easy ways to ghost battle. 105 levels of dress up is gonna be a pain in the ass. Especially when you're rusty after 7 years of not playing.

Yeah there's a curve there since it was only local and system ghosts, and now all the ghosts are pretty much all players on the network.

However if you do Japan Challenge, it's all system and player ghosts from Japan, some of them are really easy, some are really hard and you earn dress up points, and special parts from it, and can sometimes get 2x dress up point winnings at specific intervals so it's a good way to level up your ghost battle and get some neat stuff, and if you need practice, you can race weaker ghosts and still earn rewards, just have to win 2 races instead of 1. It's pretty easy if you don't mind racing twice as hard to get the same rewards, be aware you can see what horsepower they ran, and which course you will race them on prior to racing them so you can pick one your good at when picking a ghost in Japan Challenge, just be aware though that some times it's deceptive, it'll say Wangan, and show you the course highlight for a straight up and down Wangan run, but really it just starts on Wangan and then immediately exits and runs a different course.

My card name is Ichi, I drive an s30z (starting an FC3S on the side later). Hopefully we get to race sometime, Ramaj! I'm probably going to be at Grapevine R1 every couple weeks or so, either Friday or Sunday night.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to check out Japan Challenge next time I get to play.
