Does anyone here own or have built one of these model kits? If so, can you tell me how detailed they are or give a short review of the kit? Thanks

I've built the Devil Z, the kit looks good and is pretty accurate appearance-wise. Hardcores will grip about it only having the stock engine and no turbos inside, but that can be fixed with some scratchbuilding.

You can have a look at my build here if you're interested:

The kit I saw had WM packaging but the pieces/parts were a Fujimi kit that is sold with several different packaging "pictures" on the outside. If you buy any Fujimi S30 kit, your getting what comes in the WM kit.

Not too sure about that, I checked the contents of the other Fujimi S30 kits and none of them have the front bumper and fender flares included. They do have the RS Watanabes though

^^hey aesthari!! nice to see you here too.

yup.the WM devil z has the optional front air dam and flares. other s30 kits dont have this, other 'special s30'(touge seriers etc) have the optional flares and kits. the watanabes included are too shallow IMO, needs more dish. the only downside is that the chassis are wrong. the r32 has a 180sx chassis etc. (fujimi likes to recycle their chassis, thus making most kits cheap)

AFAIK, only these kits are available for WM:
devil z
blackbird porsche
reina r32 GTR white
white r32 with wing(forgot the driver)
Yamamoto blue r33
as for other cars, a little ingenuity and you could ttransforma basic car kit into a WM car. currently im transforming a stock FC into the monster FC(with fog lamps on bumper)

I'll have to make another trip to HoobbyTown to collect another kit then, thanks.

Hey ya, you seem to be everywhere, old_skool_SR, I saw your name in some other forums too, didn't join those though biggrin.gif

gogriz91: Hehe, I just looked at what's available at HobbyWorld, didn't really buy those kits, so do tell me if the regular kits really have the WM parts though tongue.gif

the wangan midnight fujimi kits are hard to find, pretty rare.

the fujimi r32 is just the standard r32 with nismo parts and bbs mesh rims, and different box art from the nismo gtr. thats it.

or you could buy the tamiya axia gr. a racing skyline. it has all the parts to create the white r32 of reina(nismo parts), and it has the same rims to go with it.

I suggest you go for a Tamiya R32 with Nismo parts if you're new to building. Tamiya kits are very accurate and have no fitment problems. Fujimi kits always have the wrong chassis as old_skool_SR had said earlier, and they are bound to be some fitment issues.

hey, nice to see you here. i could help you with your r32 dilemma. lil's hobby in makati has some very nice gr.A racing version r32s with engine detail. you could get those tamiya skylines there, and has very nice fitment.

at festival, try special toy store(its near blade, same floor of the arcades) they have some fujimi r32s on hand(kuruyama R&D version). fujimi kits are nice kits too. for paint these stores stock a lot of them. if ever you do get one and need help, just PM me. biggrin.gif

i really dont know from which set. i have a box of flare sets(plenty plenty) from fujimi(round, square, flares like that), all in sprues still. the widebody r32 uses the kit supplied flares and are much wider than this. biggrin.gif

old_skool_sr; Bro, I see that your Sky-up is doing nicely smile.gif Btw, does Lil's still have a Tamiya Axia Gr. A R32? If yes, how much is it?

Btw, I need some advice, since you play WMMT3, you know that somewhere in the 80 story stage, you get a tuning part where you get rollbars right?

If I understand this correctly, in the arcade game, you have a stock car with rollbars inside.

So, my question is, is it possible to put roll bars inside a 1/24 R34/R32/R33 passenger car without removing the rear seat? as in the rear seats are accessible (people can still sit in them).

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v231/evi...ls/SD530725.jpg]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v231/evi...ls/SD530725.jpg

Btw, is your roll bar scratchbuilt or is it from another kit? So scratchbuilt all your engines?

Nice skylines smile.gif I've finally found another Skyline lover hehehe! smile.gif

@bystander: PM me. you could(buy) get a kit and i could modify it for you, to your specs or whta you ant it to be. biggrin.gif

@gian6765: yup its possible. i saw some cars with full interior with rollcgae, but you have to take the cross bar out(the one extending from b pillar to the rear seat). or have a roll bar, have a rear seat but cant use the rear seat. mugen has a civic with a cage but still has usable rear seats(ep8*), or a hlaf roll cage.
actually in my real car, ill be putting a roll cage too, but will have th rear seats still functional

my friends cars:
user posted image
the red black advan lancer has a half cage installed with usable rear seats.

i do my own rollcages (use 2mm solder wire) or if im lazy i modify from other kits. the tamiya skylines all have engines. biggrin.gif

old_skool_sr: You're going to put a roll cage in your old school SR? Wow...Btw, what did you use on the seatbelts? The belts if I remember are bought from a detail kit yes?

Btw, PM'd ya! laugh.gif I need some advice on a project of mine smile.gif

Oh, btw, can you post a pic of the car with roll cage but with usable rear seats?

I'm also looking for an alternate 1/24 Porsche 911 to depict the Blackbird as it looks like in the Wangan Midnight Anime. Any suggestions for a kit?

This one looks like a winner but too bad I can't see the front bumper. I want to check out if it has square foglights which matches the anime Blackbird version. It's rare also so it's slim it's still in production.

http://www.hlj.com/product/FUJ08201

The Official Fujimi Manga Blackbird version has Circular foglights.

http://www.hlj.com/product/FUJ18132

Thanks in advance! wink2.gif
