My friend changed his aero set for the first time in forever, said handling between the two WAS surpriingly different. Not significantly, but definitely noticeable.

* Dress-up parts do not affect the performance of your car*.

Aero kit changes the perspective of the car and its size. Hence the slight difference.

Both sides has valid points, but all in all, IMO whether or not dress-up affect the car programing wise, its not a big enough difference to actually say one part is better than another, outside of personal preference.

*I'm one of those who believes that dress-up affects the car however so slightly, but like I said, its all about personal preference (very few ppl like my setups lol)*

and @ Ryske, every 100 story mode loop gives you a rank up.

BIG QUESTION THAT'S BUGGING ME:

In DX, when you get a "Decisive Victory" on your ghost battle standings it means your opponent went backwards and retired right?

In DX+ it shows a blank space with a red background (denoting you win) does that mean the same thing? They retired?

decisive victory means that your ghost won by i believe 50+m (or farther, i forgot)

retiring doesn't even show up on your car menu screen, you get 1 ghost win on that machine but it doesn't show you who raced you since they technically never "raced" you. kinda like how in story mode you dont get shaded, same idea.

I'm on 2nd run on story mode and I just want to know if you can choose any chapter to play on triangles(40-60) just want to get my title and save some money >_<. Also if you have a higher dress up level does that mean your car goes faster? I'm not talking about dress up parts just your level because my friends keep asking me my level and they tell me it mass your car go faster, is that true? whistling.gif

generally speaking the more you have on your car the slower it is this includes overhauls.

so no dress up level doesn't make your car faster.

I believe you can only chose within 5 levels in story mode. (not 100% sure)

like after you reach stage 40, you can only choose the first row, which is 41-45. after than it unlocks 46-50 ect ect.

Is the eunos Cosmo one of the best cars for wangan/new belt line? Does it live up with the r34 and such? Cars are all different with acceleration/top speed and I'm just wondering which cars have the greatest amount of speed and I thought the eunos Cosmo was pretty good. R34s are so fast I need a car to match up to it.

My question regards transferring. Can a card from Max Tune 1 be directly transferred to 3DX+, or does it have to be transferred version to version. (MT1>MT2>MT3>MT3DX>MT3DX+)

Hei Guys

I just played MT

I just wanna ask ..

Every Start Ramp and map, we should use different power

Example, in C1 Start Ramp, we use 720 HP right? How about the others

for the maps well, sometimes with C1/NBL/Wangan you can take it off C1 onto wangan so sometimes people might choose a higher hp setting (depends on the ramp you start at)

but assuming you stay on the same course for the duration of the battle i use:

c1- 720
nbl - 720/40
wangan - 825
yokohane - 760
osaka - 760
nagoya - 760
fukuoka - 760
hakone - usually 760 maybe 740

Where I play, myself and others use slightly different:

NBL - 760/780HP
Nagoya - 780HP
Osaka - 780HP

NBL should be 760 max normally, unless you see someone going 800+ hinting that he wants to take it straight to Wangan.

Otherwise 760 is as high of a hp you'd want otherwise you'll loose too much speed in turns through the C1 of the course especially if they take it to inbound. so its more 720-760hp

It does also depend on what car you drive. Don't know about you, but 780 works fine for me in my FC. Not arguing that 720-60 works great too though, just saying personal preference does make a difference. happy.gif

780 in the C1 part on a FC works since FC is a grippy car, but still against a 720 or even a 740 car with similar, its quite easy to get blocked

True, that's why I've been developing my ninja strategy that's essential to any RX-7 driver.

Hei Guys

I just played MT

I just wanna ask ..

Every Start Ramp and map, we should use different power

Example, in C1 Start Ramp, we use 720 HP right? How about the others

My friends asked me the same thing. My recommendation for Story is take a look at the map first; based on that:
-[C1-NBL]: 760
-[C1-NBL] and [Wangan-Yokohane]: 780
-[Wangan-Yokohane]: 800
-Nagoya & Fukuoka: 760-780
-Osaka: 740-760
-Hakone: 740
You can go max HP on [Wangan-Yokohane], however, should it go into [C1-NBL], you will have trouble -- hence 800, which is a good balance of speed and handling. And if you bang stuff (hopefully far from the finish line), decent acceleration.
NOTE: Your Power-Handling HP setting affects not just your grip, but also your acceleration-speed ratio. Higher HP will emphasize top speed with minimal grip; lower HP will emphasize acceleration with painfully maximum grip.
At higher chapters where the AI will play more aggressively, I seriously recommend dropping a bar into handling (meaning -1 from the above).
For battle, can only suggest HP ranges -- the HP used is your choice:
-[C1-NBL]: Balanced
-[C1-NBL] and [Wangan-Yokohane]: Balanced (High) to Dangerous (Low)
-[Wangan-Yokohane]: Drift to Dangerous
-Nagoya: Balanced
-Osaka: Balanced:
-Fukuoka: Balanced
-Hakone: Balanced

4tR, above is mostly for 6-gear cars. Am currently adjusting to select 5-gear cars, but not sure if I'll ever touch 4-gears.

-----

Btw, my friends asked me about the Evo8, RX-8, and R34. Told 'em that they're all the basically same car w/ different leanings: the RX-8 for handling, the R34, for speed, and the Evo8 for balance. (4tR, the difference in handling felt very minimal to me.)

Anyone knows How to obtain the "Ta King" titles? Like NAgoya Ta king. My friend just got it, he used his z34 on Nagoya. That could have been a factor to get the title
