i actually spoke to ctf the other day about this. both cabs are functional now

i havent been there in like 2 months, i feel like a nice visit and spending a whole day there would be worth it real soon.

even though I do not live in New York ( I live in NJ ), I'll just update this thread.
The arcade that opened up in Nanuet, NY has 2 3DX+ machines ( I have yet to make the trip up there to play on them, but I know that they are there). I have seen pictures and a bumch of my friends who have been there also confirmed this for me. The one thing I am not sure of is, if the cabinets are the Japanese cabs, or the North American cabs. Supposedly, the shifters are located on the player's left side, as opposed to the right side. Once I actually have the time to do so, I will be making a trip to go up there and play on the cabinets, & probably take videos as well. The one thing that sucks, for me at least, is that I won't be able to update the cards that I have had for the past 9 years. I have fully tuned cars for WMMT2 & WMMT3. So if anything, I am going to have to start all over from scratch ugh =[

mt3 cards can be transfer to dx+, no problem at all

u only lose millage if its a.really high millage car

not sure if u have english system or japaned system

The cabs at Nanuet Arcade are running Japanese 3DX+ version, so you will not be able to use your English MT3 cards on them. You will have to either start from scratch or buy renames (for JP version).

Yup from what I heard it never made money (because the arcade owner never got cards for the machines and I think one of the card readers were broken) so instead of getting cards and fixing the other reader he just sold them. Maybe whoever bought them will put it in another arcade in the area. The only other location I know of with working Max Tune 3DX+ (Japanese version) on the east coast right now is Game Underground in Massachusetts - http://www.game-underground.com/

When I went to California, the round 1 arcade i visited didn't have cards in wmmt3dx but I just asked a worker and they filled it up immediately

But how can you speak for all round ones? plus , even getting R1 here is exciting because we finally have a chance to get at least 3dx+ and a updated InitialD.. The best we have here is still mt3

As far as source goes, the information came from a Facebook R1 information group , who got it from R1's website

I hit up R1's FB page and went back a full year, can't find a single reference to a NY opening. Same thing on their corporate page, nothing in the press releases about future locations. Didn't see anything on Twitter, either.

Can you toss up a link or URL?

I remember seeing a PDF report from Round 1 with locations opening up in the next 2 years and there was one for New York (Ohio and some other states), though I don't remember the exact location but for sure theres one opening up in 2016. If I find that report I'll post it.

IIRC there was an insider who revealed those things and more on FB, and was shortly banned and fired for privacy breach. Might have been for something else, but that sounds right to me.

Hey guys! I'm visiting NY for a week and hitting up CTF. One of the cabs was busted but apparently the employee was talking to management about it (plus the working one was randomly restarting). I'll be visiting at least once a day for what's left of my trip, so hmu! I'll keep you posted if the other cab gets fixed. Would be nice to have some versus runs.
