Talked to Eskimoq (FISH) and he sent me a raw vid of his Hakone Inbound run, which I studied for while since I had no money to play XD! My CP1 and S turns improved, but the rest was the same... I need to work on that turn at th beginning of CP2 which I keep coming out of slow.

Strangely enough I'm starting to like my S15 more than my FC which just dies speed wise if you go into or exit a turn wrong v_v. Its a shame too since I feel it grips more than the drifty S15.

Try using 740hp first....its better for driftier cars.

My E8 has a stock body/stock wing setup, so I use 740hp for hakone with it.

I need to work on that turn at th beginning of CP2 which I keep coming out of slow.

how do you do that corner?
are you going out onto the grass for a wider line then braking and turning?
here are my 29 cp's...ur only abit off of all but cp2...so if u fix up ur cp2 u will obliterate your time
but these are from only 3 goes...i have only played with this car 3 times so i havnt played enough to run a decent time or build up a theory for this car, but atm it is 29'6

you turn towards the outside where the grass is and brake.

you should be done braking and should be accelerating when you approach the apex for the fastest speed

Xeo: I am using 740HP since the S15 feels more like a wall magnet with 760 XD!

BDDEE@: Before, I was trying to get onto the grass for a better angle, but the way I was doing it felt slow so today I tried to just attack the apex. With the FC it, like I said before, it died losing so much speed the TA was over. But with the S15 it felt fast, I dunno, maybe it was just dumb luck >_>...

EDIT

Xeo: No wonder, I was trying to slow down while approaching the grass. I was doing it wrong the whole time x_x...

As soon as youère done turning right to get onto the grass, you brake and you turn left at the same time. When you approach the apex, you release the brake and you step on the gas and accelerate out of the turn.

I dunno how to explain it well, youère gonna have to watch me do it in person

No no, I understand perfectly. Its basically a feint maneuver, but with different braking.

I love Hakone especially with the driving mechanics of MT3. It really makes the game "fun" as a driving simulator, or as close as it could be with a 760+ HP machine lol.

To answer your question about how people drive clean and smooth the whole way up, simply drive like it was real life. Don't go balls out into a corner because you will simply understeer and eat it. Letting off the throttle before cornering and then modulating the throttle (aka throttle control) is also something you have to just learn on your own. But to get you started in the right direction regarding throttle control just remember that every adjustment you make on the throttle during a corner will affect how you carry your car through that particular corner.

Start off slow trying not to hit ANY walls and getting as close to the wall as possible without touching it then you can improve on your speed around those corners and walls while keeping off the walls.

Hakone is the only map I prefer to play in VS mode as the rest of the courses feel like its a matter of who hits who etc, and boost plays a bigger role on those maps, on Hakone boost can't save your ass if you can't navigate the course.

I think most of them here has already tried that 6 months ago, and now they need a more advance techniques to break into the 2'29/2'28 part... wink2.gif

did a hak ib ta today ===> 2'29'225
im getting faster. but im still really slow in the third cp.

what should the cp times be for a good time?
the only ive taken note of is the first cp. and my best is like 34'9XX

and you need to brake in hakone at least twice. or three times? i break a fair few times. sometimes just a little tap in those deadly S turns. they are ridiculous.

Hey guys, which set up would be best used for hakone time attacks and battles?

Would they be different?

And which set ups can beat which, like 760 could beat 740 or maybe the other way around?

Personaly, 740 seems faster than 760 but im not sure which to practise more on?
