Search for TimZ on HZ for the thread.

Also, 720bhp and 760bhp are only a parasitic loss of 10% and ~15% each, which isn't that bad at all, especially using older gear boxes and rear ends that have looser tolerances than modern ones.

Wow, thats sure is a lot of drivetrain loss, from 720 crank hp to 648 wheel hp.

Oh and factory L28 rods are cast. Anyone with basic knowledge should know that.

It's not a lot of drivetrain loss, but I wouldn't expect you to know. It sounds like you've learned everything you know from reading forums.

L28 rods are FORGED from the factory. Read a book or two and you might learn something.

lol yeah, not even the 2jz to my knowledge had forged rods.

I am interested in that e85 car though. sounds really interesting. Did you post up on hybrid about it?

Laugh all you want, you're just as wrong as the idiot who posted that.

Oh look, what are these?

I guess these guys don't have any "basic knowledge"....not as much as you geniuses. Just look at the ridiculous things they say.

Man, you guys are still at it, huh...? laugh.gif

But it's a good thing someone can clear all of these confusion about the L28 engine.

BTW Forrest, where did you get that book? Do you have the RB26 book also? Where can I get it?

I got How To Modify with my first S30, along with the FSM and How to Hotrod and Race your Datsun, from an 80 year old guy who had been modifying it and racing in SCCA since the 70's. They are all available on Amazon, of course.

I haven't seen similar books specific to the RB26, but if they exist I'd expect them to be Japanese, since Japan is where most of the cars with those engines are raced.
