Yeah the webcam's for online play. Kinda like IDAS4. Players can talk to each other like in the series.

Also, about Shadow Chronicles...

I watched it on youtube. It's really not worth watching. It was terrible. Voice acting was good, but the mecha were all a little wooden in their movement.

You guys see Macross Zero. pretty bad ass.

Robotech Shadow chronicals sucked because they never concluded the story. It was kinda odd too because It was in the storyline of metophere or waht ever its called. In the japanese version that was its own anime, and had nothing to do with macross/robotech.

Yeah, Robotech was a mixture of Super dimension fortress Macross, Super Dimension Cavalry Southern cross, and Genesis climber Mospedia.

I have a Question could the USAF use Macross tech on their planes in the future?

Actually those 3 "separate" series, "were" inspired by Robotech, the original novels by Jack McKenny. They reason why they were separate, is because the they were made by different studios. Harmony Gold bought the rights to air in US.

Tofu, kinda of a obvious answer to your question, but I'll bite.

Usually clumping multiple weapons platforms into something such as a plane (which needs as single purpose role), is inefficient. A humanoid vehicle is EXTREMELY difficult to find a viable solution to operate. So aircraft cockpit + robot controls = X.

A plane needs to be able to do 2 things. Fly and land. to have it do anything else just adds weight.

I can see a tank going multi-ped more conventional, but I think the effort to execute exceeds the purpose.

No, no, no and for the love of all things holy in this world, NO. Super Dimensional Fortress Macross came first. Harmony Gold bought the rights to it, mashed it up with two other series (which if anything were inspired by Macross), and THEN came the Robotech novels.

Macross was first.

I stand corrected. First novel of my collection says copyright 1985. Wiki says Macross was created in 1982. tongue.gif sorry

As I found out doing my uni project, humanoid mecha would be extremely difficult to opperate. Most likely in the future if we do see mecha in production, it'll either move around in a pre-programed macro level, or it'll use slave controls and be more like power armour. I saw a docco on using mind control to power robots, technology is still basic in that field. But i saw footage of an ape controling a robotic arm with its mind which was pretty interesting.

I don't see this happening.

Reason is, what purpose will it have? It would be way too expensive to have a simple gadget. There's already equipment that can do heavy lifting.

The world is being urbanized more and more everyday, which means more roads, which also means the wheel as a more viable form of locomotion.

Of course I hope my theory is wrong for the future tongue.gif

Haha, Midnight Star ran into the 'Gundam' effect of control mechanisms. laugh.gif Realized that two control sticks and two pedals just plain don't offer enough range of motion, eh?

I don't think that battle mecha will be feaseable in the future since they're pretty unstable at the feat. But I reckon we will see mecha or power armour in the future.

the most realistic possibility is the X-Gear that they use. that might be achievable.

I sorta did. I've heard it before, but like I said before, haven't had the chance to watch any Gundam yet. I'm looking around for anyone with a copy since streaming takes too much bandwidth for my shitty internet

I always find myself to watching the original Macross, I have heard good things about Frontier, but I will watch it once the series is complete and I will of course download it since I don't see it being licensed anytime soon. But anyway, I'm glad ADV showed some appreciation and re-casted Iijima Mari as Minmay.

I haven't watched Macorss 7 in 10 years but I remember it being ok, but I only remember watching it for just Max, who is my favorite character. Macross Plus I also saw a very long time ago and have very vague memory of.

But Max will always be the man.
