[SCROLL DOWN TO NEAR THE END OF THE POST FOR A TUTORIAL ON HOW TO MODIFY BGMS]
despite how the game sucks, I've done something to make it more enjoyable
I put MT1&2 music into the .cso and removed the crappy music
MT1&2 OST ver.MT3 ver.NOTE: IDSS is not hackable due to LBA protection
if you're able to compress music under 500kb, plz pm me and I might be able to make a custom IDSS
FAQ:
Q: what is LBA protection
A: to be brief, its a program that runs the UMD and check if the iso/cso/umd size is right. If the file is larger than the LBA restriction, the game will not play. But LBA is not restricted to games becoming smaller (ex: IDSS iso is about 1.1GB, compressed cso can be about 550Mb is playable, but over 1.1GB is not.)
Q: can the LBA be removed?
A: yes, but the game will not be playable
Q: by what means is "not playable"?
A: you enter the game and all you get is a black screen. your PSP doesn't brick and you can return to the XMB
Q: why does my PSP freeze when I play WMP?
A: make sure your PSP is set to M33 driver on the UMD setting and I recommend using maximum cpu setting b/c the game reads a large music file
here's the track list (there is a limit so I can't put everything in):

NOTE: you need a PSP with a suitable CFW to play this cso, do not ask me how to modify your PSP, this is no place to discuss such piracy.
for noobs, plz put the game into (your PSP drive):\ISO
if the folder does not exist, make one or backup everything onto your computer, format your memory stick, then put everything including the cso back on
TUTORIAL:
1. you must have: modded PSP with latest CFW, usb cable, a working computer
2. have a UMD/ISO/CSO file that you want to edit (we'll be using Wangan Midnight portable for the example). If you have a UMD, plz follow the process below, if you have a cso/iso, skip to procedure 3
2a. have the umd in the PSP drive, press select at the XMB to bring up the VSH, change the USB mode where it says "Memory Stick" to "UMD"
2b. go into USB mode, copy and paste the only ISO file inside to your computer
3. download UMDGen (preferably 4.0)
4. open UMDGen, click on open and click on your iso/cso
(from here on out, it will depend on each game where the music folder is. For now, we're going to use wangan midnight portable for the example, so process may vary)
5. click into the folder "PSP", then click into "" and finally, click into sound
6. those are the bgms in .at3 format
7. download "Goldwave"
8. download atracs 3 codec, in the download, there should be an .ini file or something, right click and click install
9. drag the music you want to put into the game into goldwave
