its story script is very good. Good focus on the two main characters; details of the story is so clear yet it leaves you space for suspense ...

SPOILER

After watching Placed Promised, I've been wanting to give this movie a shot. Due to complications in licensing (stupid America), I never got the chance.
When I get free, I'll watch it and see what I think of it.

ahhh this anime. i just have only a few things to say about it.
1. the drawings are ABSOLUTELY amazing, the best i've ever seen.
2. after the middle of the movie, it just got boring and the ending killed it.
3. but then again, i've read reviews that it's a movie based on reality, that not all endings are supposed to be happy

I'd rate it 7.5/10
The plot wasn't as good, but the drawings were fantastic.

I watched that a while ago. It was really good, though it was slow paced. I'll give it 9/10, because I thought it was too short for such a wonderful story.

It's a romance story, on how people can drift apart from distance and time. But the romance this one portrays is way different from those typical romance anime (where there's always an asshole who is surrounded with 5-6 girls (who mysteriously love the guy so much for no apparent reason) in high school with an idiotic single guy friend as a comic relief, and have trouble deciding which girl to pick and hurt everybody in the process). This one depicts real life romance.

Ending song was perfect! I love the ending very very much and this is one of my favourites of all the anime I've watched.

Shinkai Makoto ftw. happy.gif

Haha I downloaded this movie 2 years ago. I believe I've seen it about 6 times.

The ending train scene gets me every time. I used to play the song from the movie all the time, it pissed my sister and my ex off 'cause they found the song so depressing.
