Gabbanas work on the Evo5 better than the Evo8. Just swapped them from the RC-T4, which slides a lot more at whatever HPs I use; on the downside, the Gabbanas just stick more, meaning I lag at those set HPs but can push it up a notch.

Rim suggestions plz?

best rims are the rims you feel most comfortable with. the most commons rims used for the FD are the SuperRacingAdvan (aka, the 3-spoke), the GramLights 57f's, or the RCII's.

Going to start an Evo III since I miss my old one from mt2 since it got lost. I know I am going to use the RC II when I get there, but what should I get to basically hold my own till then? What very early rim would work before I get to the Eneki Forged or should I just stick to the stock rims till then(looking for grip)?

Talking about E3,I noticed that Yoko rims are suitable for them.....What about Enkei rims?I am looking for a balanced Enkei rim for my E3.Have used RPFs and Evo Forged but I find the RPFs are quite okay. How about J-SM or RC-T4 for the E3?

They should really get the nismo LM GT4. since they do have Evo Forged rims, i believe the skyline/nissan deserves its own special rims.

this is a thread that allows us to converse about which rims we prefer or rather use THAT ARE AVAILABLE, not a thread where suggestions are made for rims in future.

plus, if there were rims specially designed for skyline/nissan, it wouldnt be so good for all those other people who have different cars.

Evo forged rims are designed by Enkei and aren't specifically designed for lancer Evos. LM GT4 rims are designed by nismo specifically for nissan cars. However, they're a great looking rim in gun metal black...

As your name says, bro: ROFLMAO.

Anyways...
All of my Evos run Gabbanas, although I think I swapped my E8's out.
On a WRX-F, Gabbs are no-go for Hakone/740 - I got something okay outta 760, tho. Changed 'em to Enkei Forged, but found them too slidy and grippy at the wrong times at my current course-based HP settings. Changed 'em to RCIIs, but have yet to test 'em out.

QUOTE (raven111 @ Sep 29 2008, 03:12 PM)
Swapped my Evo8's Gabbanas for RC-T4 - I like the lighter weight of the RC-T4, but am aching for the handling of the Gabbanas. This statement isn't contradictory - my analysis is the Gabbanas are heavier and less push-resistant than the RC-T4s, but the RC-T4s have better accel at the cost of push-resistance (weight).

Is RC-T4 have a good effect on EVO8? What about Volk CN28? Thanx.
