I have been playing now for 2 months, I started playing since my job got the game into the arcade. There isn't almost a day I go by without playing. There is this guy that I heard about and he has played for 2-3 years. I am getting pretty good as him within the amount of time. But when I finally beat his ghost on ghost versus battle mode he challenges me and within a few times he beats me and I am like what am I doing? It takes me a hour or so just to beat one of his and one other question it was 800hp but now I have lowerd to 780hp. The car I am racing with is a Nissan Fairlady Z Version S fully maxed out horsepower and body. I have obtained 5,000 km. I am trying to do Hakone and beat the ghost that this guy that has played for so long can't even beat him. I come close to in the beginning but he slams me in the wall and usually win. Fastest time was 3:39:653. Is there something that I can do to be better or help me?

Watch better players play and try use their racing lines...
It's pretty helpful if you get to actually see a pro play and get hands-on trial and error

try not hit walls, when u play ghost battle.. dont ram cuz it'll slow ur car down.

more days pas by, their ghost will slow down unless they beat their own ghost everyday... then it'd be updated.

try doin TA, or battle him... not his ghost... to see his tactics/techniques... like when/how to turn, and when he shifts up/down.. etc.

You have question on how come by lowering my HP I get a better chance at winning? Because by lowering your HP you lessen your acceleration but you raise up your handling. Do remember that winning isn't always about how FAST your car is. It's sometimes determined on how GOOD you HANDLE your car. As one poster above me said. Lessen your ramming.

PS: I envy you, because you can play MT everyday sad.gif

Asking for help is not wrong...but making a new thread out of it is kinda pointless...
Then again we don't have such threads so I guess it's fine... : \

hmm... Your Hakone is quite fast actually, keep practicing Hakone and you'll master maxi in no time. And try to learn the ways of ramming (repost)

Thx, for your help. I don't think asking for help is wrong but by asking helps you out alot. If its true that ghosts do slow down after time then this guy is going to be losing very soon. The closest I came yet at the end is -47m so I'm getting there. Btw I don't play for free I wish I could. I don't usually ram and never try if it happens then it does. One last question for now... Do I keep 780hp or have 760hp. I handle this car very well.

Darren, I'm guessing MT3 since 3:39 would make sense for just one run of Hakone...

not really, 3:39 on mt3 would be a really bad time, like... have to be hitting a lot of walls.... and just going slow in general.

unless he means 4:39 on DX, which is a decent time imo.

you fail, that makes no sense at all, unless he's over a full minute behind wr...

which in itself doesnt make sense
