Mine, for example.

My last username was maxidrifter001

I changed it since it's too plain for this website

Thought that ImmortalDrifter would be better

Though I planned on making it ImmortalDrifter89

but I decided to make it like this

You can PM the Administrator.

@ Darren
They probably all wanted a namechange and when Perry came online, he just did them all at the same time.

perhaps namechanging should be kept to a minimum? (not a complete ban, but set it to a very very low limit)

I can only imagine the confusion to find that everyone changed names overnight laugh.gif

Well looking at it from a mod/admin's viewpoint, they'll run into the same problem when people need to get warned or banned.

There's warnings for each user, sure, but mods may forget the name of a user to look out for, or to keep tabs on. I'm sure there's plenty of users out there that have more than one warning that are on a mod's "keep a close eye" list who can get mixed up with other users who have one or two warnings because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Change names too often and it gets hard to keep track. But that's more of a policing issue.

I wonder if I sound communist yet.

The Mods/Admins has access to everyone's warn logs. So there is no confusion. smile.gif

To access your own warn log, simply click on the 0% on your warning bar.

I could tempt fate by asking to test it out, but I'll take your word for it. laugh.gif

Does that warn log reference the thread they got warned for? Just for policing's sake. Might be a good idea to keep a record of past user names as a failsafe. In case people forget about that one person whos name they can't remember.

Yes, reference to the thread and the specific post is referenced in each warning (even verbal warning) automatically. The list of name changes is only available to admins though. I agree on namechanges should be keep to a minimum. I was being rather lenient on the "reasons" people give when they want to change their names.

After all, this is a funner forums than IDW. I also enjoy being more lenient here.

just as long as someone's keeping track...

it's nice to be able keep tabs on people... only when you want to.

Here's an example of a warn log (mine):

Everything is done neatly here.

It's a real privilege being here. So far, I've never got anything like this before in WME:

lol

mods are the ones keeping tabs on people, and that tab will be under your name, so it's your tab laugh.gif

@Kenji: That's pretty detailed. 3 days suspension for "LOLOL...OL"? Just as long as mods have listings of past user names, and the detailed listings of the thread and posts in question, then it's all set.

Yes. I've got myself suspended for 3 days just because I laughed out loud. tongue.gif

This highlights the degree of leniency things are conducted in here and of coz, it's a privilege to be here, not an honour. We shouldn't take it for granted. smile.gif

I guess I've to stop this topic derailment now. smile.gif
