QUOTE (Bloody_Monday @ 6 minutes, 56 seconds ago) | I race everywhere. But my favorites are Hakone and C1. I have played MT3DX for 3-4 months but my mates who have played MT for more than a year always choose OOSSSAAAAAKKKKKKAAAAA. Makes me sick just looking at the map. In fact they like it so much that whenever I choose Hakone or another map, they get so scared and when the game chooses Hakone, they're like giving up before the race starts. It's pathetic. |
It's because hakone is one of the most demanding courses for reflexes and timing, and people don't like that, they prefer predictability, like osaka...
Straight, brake, turn and repeat several times over!

I know but isn't it addicting? (Well at least for me lol) I like unpredictability. It keeps me focused. Like playing GT4 or GTPSP. I always pick the Nürburgring because it's a track that has loads of room for improvement much like Hakone. Even if you're the best driver in Hakone or the Ring, it will still leave a big smile on your face because you completed something hard. Osaka is really simple, (there are more right turns than an oval (ok that sucked)) when you know the course really well, that's it. There's no enjoyment left because it's so easy. It's like driving on a long straight line. How can you be better if the only thing you need to do is drive straight.

QUOTE (Paladinoras @ Aug 7 2009, 02:31 AM) | Yeah... totally agree...
I usually go for random. And cross my fingers and hope to hell that it doesn't land in Hakone. But, eitherway, even if I lose a battle, I count it as training in Hakone, so I am good...
I am sick and tired of battling at Osaka...Like..every 2 battles that I did...Osaka would be one of them...
In fact, I am pretty sure that out of the 40ish or so stars in my E9.. 30 came from Osaka... Damn.
Not that I hate Osaka or anything..in fact, I am pretty good at it... I am already breaking the low 3"51s. BUT I AM DAMN BORED OF THAT PLACE, SWITCH THE MAP ALREADY!!!!
Then...Nagoya came out.
I nearly slit my throat. |
ahahahah yeah i also dont like does maps.hakone is actually my favorite.hakone is the map that i would always want to race on but most people dont like hakone so i just choose random so that my opponents will have nothing to say about the map that i picked because it was random aahahahahahaha

Predictablity has nothing to do with it. They pick it because that's all they know how to fking play. If it's predicitablity then I can say the same for Hakone. Turn, gas, brake & repeat.
