I really don't understand this thread.
This is like anything in life y'know...?
You choose to play because it's want you want to do with your leisure time. Nobody puts a gun to your head to partake in an activity you enjoy doing.
If you weren't spending it on MT, you'd be spending it on another hobby most likely.
You have been willing to spend the amount of money that you have towards this game, so you would of most likely spent an equal amount on another activity/hobby with that in mind. In my opinion anyway.
The great thing about life and what we forget sometimes is, we can quit something just as fast as we begin it - but only if you really want to. You are under no obligation from anyone for what you do, as long as it does not harm those around you or yourself.
For some reason, we feel the need to start something and go all way to end with it. Why?
For example...
Watching a movie in the cinema and half way through you realise it sucks? Get the hell out of there.
Out to dinner and the food blows at entree? Just pay for what you've eaten, go elsewhere for the main.
Finding MT too expensive? Need money for other things? Then STOP PLAYING until you have the money to spend.
But that is your choice.
So to answer your question.
No, I don't regret playing MT, because it's what I want to do. It's how to choose to spend my money. If I need the money for something more important, then I STOP and get my priorities sorted until considering to play again.
Simple...?

QUOTE (BlackBird @ Dec 11 2009, 01:49 AM) | If you stopped buying that $3 cup of coffee in the morning daily, by the end of the year you would of saved a total of $1095.
What would you do with $1095?
Would you be willing to give up the enjoyment that cup of coffee made for you? |
$3 a day, cannot compare to what you you spend on MT. Even if you play only 2 days a week, and you spend about $15 each time you play, you still spend $9 more. And for the hardcore addicted people, they can easily spend $50 a week or more, yeah?
And N643 said that he could have used it for more useful things, because he needs those things, but don't have the money cos of MT. And he said that he's still not a pro yet, even after spending so much money. Imagine that you play everyday, and yet still get beaten easily, how would you feel?
You enjoy a lot during MT, of course, but the regret is worse. I regretted before during the making of my first card, so I know. (But I don't really regret now using my second card)
