80. Austro - He practically lives on WME, I'm actually surprised he hasn't been made staff earlier.
9. Kevin - He will be a great a Moderator. Lol. Especially him having losts of posts =P
3. Leslie Howlett - I want him become mod....he been in WME for long time...why not give him a mod?

Going through the petition, most of the signature can be summed by the three examples above. It could be sum up with two words --- active and seniority. Now, I know those are not the only reasons you guys think he should be a moderator. So tell me more on why you like him or think that he should be a moderator on WME, either in this thread and/or in the petition. :)

In this case, I reckon obby should be a WME Mod nominee as well!

They both are dedicated to WME.
They both have great knowledge for MT.
Don't need a-lotta post counts to become a Mod.

hmmm...... :-"

that's the most random pick ever.

I guess Geo would be a good mod because he's a familiar face. Everybody knows him, he posts everywhere.

No, sir, not a random pick.

You have gradually been online on WME for less & less amount of time... while obby helps & frequently posts & is online on WME! :)

Which brings up a good point. I've been sitting around working 72 hours a week. Not exactly able to close stupid threads with the frequency I once was. There is merit to someone like Geo who essentially lives on the forum to help keep the noob threads from overunning the place.

I don't really have a reason why Geo should be moderator, but I'd like to support him.

The only thing I see is a guy that has the highest post count on the forums and I think that would be good for the noobs, who, in my belief, in most, finds somebody, of authority, with a very high post count/rank.

Since I know nothing about his experiences with administration/moderation, or the controls, except "Close Thread," I don't have anything else to say.

Hope that helps.

I am somewhat of an administrator on rawrgasm which uses the except same board (Invision) on which WME is based on and I pretty much know how to do everything except IP bans.

No Offense to all, but to be honest, What is the point of this?

Judging from the start of the thread, your only reason to petition for mod is because you wanna take out those "useless" threads?

Is it that your leaning towards "Oh gosh, our mod team is so lazy, etc."? For any misunderstandings, I'd only like to point out and clear up that as The J has mention (In his supremely harsh words. J/k) We all have lives and have become quite busy over these few months (Or years) and have lost time to moderate the forums.

Each mod probably has their different reason, for me its just school. Normal times for me when I'm free is normally 2am till 4am now. I'm trying my best and all but yeah...

My main concern is if Geo is really pushing to become a mod to help the Moderating Team, then by all means, but if it results to "Version 29 Aussie thread!" and favoritism within the Moderating Team, then I see no point.

Just my 2 cents in this.

P.S - For those who started this "Seniority" issue. Geo Joined the forums Dec. 25th of 2007. I joined almost a month and 16 days before he did and he gained almost 22k more post then me. Just thought I throw out an interesting fact.

If I become a Mod, I intend to actually help out around the place and not place favourtism towards any of the Aussies.

I've seen how terrible favourtism works out in the end. A fair game is always a good game eh.

Why can't this be a general Mod discussion and not just centering around Geo(no offense, man) because I've been dying to talk about this for months(or years)?

I mean, yes, I do troll the OT forum, but I can be a good help, when it comes to moderation.

I don't have a full schedule, except Tuesdays.

I have a laptop, now, and I'm working on become even more active, so I have, almost, full access to the internets.

I'm thinking part-time mods: similar to janitors, in 4chan. Members who have certain privileges, in the moderator's control panel, who can help out with the full-time moderators, who are busy with school, work, etc.

What do you think?
