Thanks for the updates! I have updated/removed the locations that you mentioned, except the ones above, as I couldn't find them in my database. Do you have the listing from the first page? They might have been reported gone already but not updated on the first page listing.

UPDATE (01/26/17) - Updated SoCal and NorCal listings.

UPDATE (02/07/17) - Updated SoCal and NorCal listings. Milpitas Golfland now is on a card system, and got rid of their WMMT 3DX PLUS machine.

UPDATE (02/10/17) - Updated SoCal listings. All Amusement - Burbank Media Center removed their "ARCADE CLOSING" signs. Have they been given another reprieve? Stay tuned...

Thanks for the heads up. I guess I will check Puente Hills Mall every so often (it is about 40 miles away from me) to see if they have it.

Round1 in Ga currently has 2 Jap 3DX+ cabinets at the moment.
3 credits to play, no cards in stock as of opening weekend, one machine wasn't working, neither connected to network.

Heard from employee that they might be getting some 5s soon. I'll be sure to post once I get confirmation.

I'm glad that WMMT is back in Georgia; it's been too long.

I'll probably start posting frequently, again.

Oh, yeah, didn't you tell me that they also have Initial D Arcade Stage 8 via Facebook?

almightytora, The cost for a banapass is currently $7 at R1 PHM. The terminal is not selling cards (for now).

The cabinets are selling the Banapassports for 4 swipes at 6 credits a swipe. Assuming 25 cents a credit, that's 4 x $1.50 = $6. If the front desk is selling them for $7, you're losing $1 for buying it there instead of at the cabinets. But, I will clarify it on the listing.

I also realized that the Terminal was not selling cards yesterday, and that would be fixed with just charging one swipe at 24 credits at the Terminal. I was wrong.

There is NO option to price the Terminal differently than the cabinets.

This is what I mean: If the game is 1 swipe at 6 credits and the Banapassports are 4 swipes, the arcade cannot make the Terminal sell the Banapassports for 1 swipe at 24 credits. There is simply not an option on the Terminal to do that.

This was verified when I talked to the workers at Sherman Oaks Castle earlier today. The lady was kind enough to show me what the coin options showed, and the screen showed that the options were for all the cabinets AND the Terminal.

The only way they can do it for 1 swipe is if they move all the Banapassports from the cabinets to the Terminal only, charge 1 swipe for the Banapassport, and the Terminal shows 24 credits a swipe.

This is why Camelot Golfland only sells the Banapassports at the Terminal (for 20 points), because they can't sell the Banapassports at the cabinets, as the price of the game is 8.8 points.

Golfland does a promotion for unlimited arcade game play on Saturday from 9am to 12pm for $7.99. People get a wristband and a special game card that gives them free play until 12pm. The Terminal would not be available for purchasing Banapassports during this time, so one needs to buy it before this promotion.

Also, there was no way to make the game say to "Swipe card 1 time(s)" and not "Insert 1 coin(s)". Again, there is no option on the Terminal to show that.

===

Another thing came up while I was at Sherman Oaks Castle today... The Time Trial. Is the extended course showing 4 credits for you guys? Isn't that kinda steep for the extended course? That would be at least $7.50 just to play that course.

EDIT (03/10/17, 8:20am): Had the Golfland Saturday morning procedure explained to me by the manager via text message.

4 credits is the default for "full course" play. It will need to be manually changed in the Test Mode.

Got it. Thanks for the clarification.

I had to buy the card because I ended up here kinda spontaneously, without my cards in hand, so I had to drop the $ for a new card, despite having 3 already...

it should be 2 credits (where 1 credit is the usual cost for a single standard game) ... at least it is here.

Do they still use tokens there or are they a card system like the other Golflands?

Are you saying the game is 6 credits ($1.50) and the card is also 6 credits ($1.50)? If so, they're gonna be losing money on the Banapassports. I've heard they cost $4 to the arcades.

Also, did they get rid of their older WMMT machine?

It's a card system, has been since MT3 first showed up at RVGL in 2008-2009

I want to say yes but I wasn't really paying attention and didn't see the credit costs because it only lights up once you actually want to buy a passport and as I mentioned earlier I just had to swipe once; my next visit will be next Friday and I can confirm then

They had gotten rid of the last two MT3DX+ machines as of the Saturday (I wanted to warm up) before MT5 arrived around Wednesday

So an update regarding passport costs at RVGL:

On the terminal it says 4 credits, the machine says 1 credit. At 6 credits/swipe, it could come out to 24 credits, or $6 for a passport which would be in line with everyone else.

So, the Terminal requires 4 swipes at 6 credits, but the machine says 1 credit? :confused.gif:

I updated the listing to show 24 credits ($6.00) for the Banapassport.
