Fukuoka Highway

A look at the new track on DX+. I'm liking the look of all the long sweepers and turns, should be great for battle once you put a few trucks in the way.

What do you guys think?

More like Japan f**ked up if that's the case. :B There are only so many highways in Japan, and most certainly aren't as interesting as C1. ^^

Course looks pretty easy for the most part. Too damn narrow though. Doesn't look like there'll be many opportunities to pass.

Looks nice for a new race track.

Btw:
I wonder what horsepower setting he's using. This is just a hunch and it's hard to see it in the video.....but I'm guessing it's 720 HP/B(?). I do wonder if this will be the final HP setting or if it will increase later on. Maybe we will have to wait till the pros and those who've tried it create some racing lines and do trial-and-error and experiment experiment shit hehe biggrin.gif

P.S.
In any case

What is usually the methods and proceedures for creating or deciding on an optimal power setting for like each course in Time Attack? In short, how is it done?

For instance, like in Nagoya, how did we came to a conclusion that 780 HP/D is best for the course? Or in Yokohane, when it was first introduced in regular MT3, how did we declare that "FULL POWER" was the best setting (even if it had some tough turns)

Do we just keep on trying out each *likely* power setting and if we get the fastest times, then that's the power setting to use? Or..........do they use mathematical formulas to compute for the geometric distance as well as the friction coefficient and physics of the course (lolz in before nerd comments hehe:P)

Or is there another way other than what's mentioned?

His HP was at 780HP/D. Which seems about right for that track. Possibly 800HP/D.

I have to disagree Geo, I'm liking the look of the track. It might be boring for TA. But I'm seeing it from a battling PoV. Just in a few 'S' Level cars and that narrow twisty track is going to be one hell of a grind/ramfest.

@blackcyborg009:

i tink it's either 780 or 760..i guess 780 smile.gif

fukuoka has quite alot of straights too...or at least it's pretty straight with the proper lining..

with rgds to your Qn on the conclusion of what hp to use, personally i just follow/copy the pros.. laugh.gif

I see

But the question as to how the pros decide on what hp to use is well kinda uncertain to me. Do they like use mathematical formula to compute for the distance as well as computing for the acceleration and apply lambda calculus? biggrin.gif

I honestly think that course looks fun as hell. The up's n down's are sweet, and I love the moguls in the 4th cp.

Too bad I'll never get to play it. Ever. I haven't even played Nagoya yet. ;_;

everyone will try a typicial HP then they will decrease it or increase it base on the route they ran ...

normally roads with plenty of straights gets full power .... jus like Yokohane

@BearZ

I see.

I just randomly played with the idea that the pros are also using calculations and computations and thus perform solutions to provide for the optimal time attack run for any given course. Hehe not only physical but mental as well tongue.gif

In any case, from the videos it looks like a fun course. Indeed I can't wait to try this out for myself.

smile.gif

@dailomac

I'm thinking almost similar as you.........but my prediction here the way I see it is:
Time Attack: 760 HP/B
Battles on-average (and ghost probably): 760 HP/B or 780 HP/D (800 HP/D if you wanna go the extreme route).

That's just my prediction biggrin.gif

P.S.
Happy birthday to you dude biggrin.gif
