The irony thing is, I understand every part of Geo's post.

And wait a minute, I believe you got banned for faking your Hakone timing to everyone like a long time ago?

are you even trying?
there's so much to be worked on:
1. use correct TA lines, watch other experts play
2. foot work, your acceleration and braking is all over the place
3. no excuses

If it helps, I just played on the same machine that he used and got a 4'41, of which I havn't really TA'd on Hakone before. Even I think my time isn't that great (I got it on video, but I cbf'd uploading it).

Learn to slide in advance, plan where the car will turn into the bend, not just wait for the corner to come first. Don't blame it on the machine.

I can't do hakone at all with the force-feedback broken.

The point of posting TA videos here is to either admire the ones done by people like Jackie or offer advice to people looking for it.

It is quite obvious he is not the best at Hakone but at least you guys can try to give him to helps and tips instead of just all making fun of him and giving him the shits.

Everyone started off like this (even if he is A7). Just cut him some slack and TRY posting something useful so you won't look like an absolute complete dick.

I gave him plenty of advice in person, he watched my TA run of Hakone etc.

He can only get better.

"You shited english so gay?"

Oh, the irony!

As an English teacher, I disapprove. I have 8-year-olds who speak more coherent English that you. That might have been sarcasm if... well, it wasn't true. :B Seriously, you're in no position whatsoever to talk about other people's language.

edit: I love how his English is so bad that WME doesn't even censor what I quoted. ;)

I know what you are trying to say busy...

but it should have been spelt with a double t so it ends up being "shi**ed"

I think my grammar is a bit crap but i'm a law student... so who cares...

QUOTE (KENZZ @ Feb 17 2010, 10:49 PM)
Dw i actually play heaps better than this on a feedbackless smooth wheel than the one i used, i blame all the mistakes on the utlra grippy and heavy steering feedback wheel, its like they over tuned it

IM SERIOUS (w00t)

Dw next time....

I just took some time to read the entire thread.

Kenzz: look. what do you want to gain from making our eyes bleed everytime you post up such videos?

We have already advised you what to do, but you don't seem to be doing it. Like what Zals said: "no improvement". So far, I have to agree. I don't see any improvement since your other videos (which actually weren't too good to start with anyway).

Also, I quoted the above, simply because I think that's an excuse that you're using. A very bad excuse. If you want to get good at something, anything that isn't a "driver's problem" (aka, PROBLEM OF YOUR OWN SELF) is an excuse.

If you want feedback-less steering wheels, just slam the steering wheel as hard as you can and hopefully the feedback will be destroyed. Or maybe you'll break your hand, but that's an excuse, isn't it? "I want no feedback, so I destroyed your steering wheel, but your wheel destroyed my hand instead".

You know why you're not used to a wheel with feedback? Very simply because it's easier to turn without the feedback. It's just in your mind. If you know how to turn, it means you know the lining, and it means you know how to turn.

Yeah but to be fair, we were all like that at one point. The problem is that kenzz doesn't listen to our advice and seems to always blame the machine rather then his appalling driving skills.

I honestly hope he improves

@Snow: Spending lots of money doesn't mean one is truly a skilled player.

I must have spent at least 2k SGD on my main car, but I can't play Osaka for nuts.

@Myth: I've learnt this line: "It's the user's problem"

Oh idk. In my life policy, I've always felt that if I don't get the results I want, the problem must lie in myself. It's not easy to say such things, but I realised that sometimes, the reasons I give as to why I failed sound like excuses to me. So..ya.
