OSAKA vid
Mkay here are my tips

The GTR is too close to the leader (E8), there needs to be a bit more of a buffer gap to prevent both team mates from catching up to the leader in the event that they pass *and* they use the blocker against himself *ride into a corner*. Otherwise, he did his job well (as expected from a GTR32 blocker) however he needs to scrub up on some KEY basic blocking especially on OSAKA

The RX8 wasnt opportunistic enough, he went right when he should have went straight as he over took the leader. On that point, he left his team mate to the GTR - which is a definite NO due to the fact of the following:
A - the GTR could have purposefully stopped the team mate providing a 4th place finish for the E9
B - it is PARAMOUNT that u have both team members in sequence (1 and 2, 2 and 3) to enable to attack the front AND/OR block from behind. Has anyoone heard of divide and conquer?
C - If the lead car BLOCKS, both cars involved are SLOWED DOWN enabling the car behind 'more' boost to fight with

The RX8 teammate (evo9 i assume) was ineffective in that video, it was pretty much a 2v1. Not much to comment except for his inefficiency.

The lead car (E8) did a lot of things correct and most of the mistake came from the RX8 *lack of baiting, spacing and actual teamwork there*

Just a couple of tips there

52 seconds in
- GTR35 is too aggressive and gets baited to go in hard, gaining the initial win over the Evo but losing the war and placing himself and his teammate last

'54 - 1'45
Classic example of not enough spacing between teammates. The E9 is just following the RX8 and not being too much of a help. Prevention is often better than cure. things could have been a lot worse had the GTR35 rode him into the corner, and thus having a shot at attack at first, or defending to allow the R32 to pass him and the E9

2'00 - And my predicted outcome happends, 2nd goes to 4th (E9) with NO way of preventing that on the turn. Manages to save 3rd after the R32 tries to bail out and hitting the wall.

2'35 - Unlucky mistake by the R35 but a blessing in disguise as the R32 passes due to a block on the E9. Very lucky to have had that happen

3'00 - Nothing the Rx8 could do, it was impeding doom *divide and conquer*

3'30 - R35 is doing the right think allow a buffer zone however, very unlucky that both trailing cars were pushing against the R35 and results in a mistake. Good example of slowing down to provide space and defend, but he could have slowed down a LITTLE more and been a tad more aggressive on the left hand turn *he has nature advantage over the RX8*. Consequently, instead of slowing down, he could have kept going UNTILL that point and then slowed down to block on the straight *ideal blocking point*

General Comments

740 for C1 isnt recommended when both people are going 740 AND ur in a GTR. Ur already suffering from semi-par handling, the R35 should have gone 720 IMO

Not bad battling at all, aside from the above comments, not much to report upon. average battle

thx for ur tips there mate.

well i do understand wt u mean... i guess i play more conservative i think. We like staying at the 50m region when possible so that even if i stuff up, it wouldn't be too hard to catch up as opposed to a stuff up at 150+m. coz a stuff up could have changed the whole game around... i only tend to widen the gap when it is safe to do so, which usually means after the corner on the straight...

and again, thx for ur feedback, have u got some videos of u guys battling so that we can compare the difference...? like the different style

YGR vs X1

If u read all my post, ud have seen that i mentioned that both cars involved in blocking lose speed - theres an example

'40 - Very luck that the E9 was following the GTR35, if he had cotton onto the R32 he would have been placed in a very good 1st position to block both the R32 and R35 to allow his teammate to catch up. If you notice the lead on his partner, its increasing slowly to allow the R32 to get away whilst the R35 deals with the trailing opponents, just be careful to not get placed into a position where ur going to be blocking hard on a turn

1'20 - When the camera is shifted to the R35 it shows he is in 5th gear. Rookie mistake that caps you at 299km as opposed to allowing u to fluctuate between 300 and 305 in 6th gear. Its appropriate to note that even though trailing cars say they are going 295, the boost equates that to 305 or more depending on how far back they are, and at 30m+ behind, its safe to say that 295 equates to 310. Good intentions, just poorly executed. Very lucky to keep the lead due to natural advantage

Key term: Natural advantage
This can be defined as a cars ability to ram, or fight against ram. Often seen when ur 0m with ur opponent and u either gain or lose the lead. Example of this is that any rx8 with 57F will lose out to an Evo9 with X401. The above example with the R35 and the Rx8 is also an example where natural advantage come into effect. If the R35 lost in that, that is defined as a natural disadvantage.

WATCH THE R35 BATTLE, VERY EXPERIENCED AND NOTEWORTHY

Yeah its kool

Just as an example to more of the novice players looking for an example. noones really posted anything, so i decide to critique ur videos

The R35 battler is really good - im not sure if hes considered other cars, but it seems for him the R35 is a very good car for him.

Unfortunately we dont have any NEW videos using techniques like that out there, just older stuff from 2 years ago. working on getting stuff like that but cbf

Very good battles though - the R32 and R35 are a prime example of teamwork that i look for in battles. Generally we battle the same style

Heres a bit of a pro tip

If ur 1st and ur partner is 2nd, try extending the lead to about 150m, THEN have the 2nd place person catch to about 50m then extend again to 150m

sounds difficult, but at 150m, 3rd and 4th WONT catch 2nd if hes clean, BUT THEY ALL WILL CATCH 1ST

enables a trap to be set or during the last 3kms allows for a sure win situation

i think the R32 was at 720 in the video... while R35 was on 700 for blocking purposes...

R35 is supposed to be doing the blocking and R32 was supposed to run, but since the position is not always right, eg R35 in the front and R32 at the back, and my R32 was setup for taking the offensive side and the car's defense was quite weak (specially on the side). so i (R32) have decided to to be more conservative since due to my setup... coz the R35 lacks offensive power...

and that was the tactic we chose to play with for this particular competition
