Ok so I'm new here, and I have started playing WM on my PS3 after a while, and I was wondering if any one had any tips on how to get a platinum on Akio's Series 4, any card set ups any thing.

Also I was wondering if any body had some tips on good setups to get platinum as I need the 15 platinum to get the engine swaps.

On that note I was wondering to the engine swaps work on any/most cars, so say If I had the craving to put a 2JZ into an FD I could?

Thanks for any info and help.

Hello there! Welcome to WME.
I actually can't help you for card setups but what I do know is make sure to experiment with different set ups, drive cleanely and don't go full throttle each time. Make sure the engine temp bar stays as low as possible. If you still can't manage to get an S rank, don't give up yet. Do other series, oh and make sure to have the overboost card lv.2 or 3 installed. That could help you massively out of the corners in c1.
About engine swaps, yes you can swap any engine in any car. Even putting an RB26DETT in the Porsche is possible, If you do get engine swaps, the RB is the most powerful engine in the game. You can get +1500PS in that thing with the right setup. I know that because I finished the game with all platinium.

I've gotten an all platinum clear BEFORE I even got overboost level 3. I didn't need to use overboost at all so it is definitely possible. You will need a minimum number of platinum clears just to equip the engine swaps. I will need to look at Akio series 4 to see how I passed that without the full array of cards and swaps.

Thanks for the info, I haven't been using over boost in this, in stead I've been using the Lv.1 Engine life, Transmission, and tire grip card, in the spot where I usually have the lv. 2 over boost card.

I come close each time to getting an S rank on both battles, but I can't get it, so I'm back to the drawing board.

As for the engine swaps, and RB26 in the blackbird? Wow, talk about unrealistic, but fun. laugh.gif

Can't wait to get the engine swaps though, I'd like to use the Z31's but they're just not up to par.

Sorry for the double post, but dose anyone have the requirement/times for all of the platinum’s, I've tried finding them in English, but no luck.

You won't find them in English. It's honestly mostly time related. You can crash horribly in some of these races and if your time is good then you're platinum. Some it's beat rival by almost a kilometer! I'll try to find it but it's not that easily quantifiable.

A kilometer? Damn, that's insane, I've got only three platnums so far, two on Tatsuya's and the other on reina's story, thanks for the help though.

The closest I came to beating a rival my a kilometer was in the flat raceing dude's story (foregot his name) and it was only about half a kilometer.
