A (Vietnamese) friend of mines who owns an XT (Turbo 4WD) was considering on trading his car for a Saab 900 SPG. Of course, the father said no because he thinks all cars back then (before 1995, I'm afraid) have parts that are hard to find, citing Subaru as one (Meaning, he thinks all pre-95 Subarus have to order overnight parts.) The son said Rubbish, "The XT-6 had a mere 25K production number when it came out, and by now, there are only less running around the world", but the father denies it as a baseless argument, before pulling the mentality in the Sub-title, as in, "I'm right, you're wrong, research is stupid, etc."
Now, I actually kind of hate that mindset, as I always say, research is important, always have been, always will be. Going in blindly will ALWAYS have a low to no success rate, such as going into sex for the first time, unprotected, and not knowing if the opposite partner has any STDs.
So, who could be right on this one?
