I really like where you're going with the project, and the shots/locations are magnificent. It's nice to see the /gentle/ side of tuners, on their down time when they're not racing for pinks or highway surfing.

May I add, the choice of music is nice, too. (Never would have thought Metric would blend in the tuner scene but you made it work, and I assume you got Lenny Kravitz from GT3? x) )
The choice of cars are also good. Nothing super crazy riced out, but not too "normal" or common looking, either. (Then again, they're evo's and subies)

The quality overall, it's really aesthetically pleasing. Lot's of potentially different backgrounds, hence, different stories for each, very good soundtrack, and the locations are eye opening. If this was a pilot for a tv series, I wouldn't be hyped, but I'd definitely stick around to see how it unfolds. Amazing job.

Thanks for takin the time to watch. My background is in art, so this is my first undertaking in I guess you could call 'film'. So that's probably why it feels more artistic then Hollywood. And you're right, alot of the music selection was from GT lol. Originally I wanted all the music to be of the 90's era, to sort of reflect the car selection in the video.

So far the video is coming along and am fairly excited to upload it once it's done. The only disappointing fact is that the R33 owner has been ignoring my emails so there won't be a Skyline appearance sad.gif The 240z will make a guest appearance though towards the end.

Absolutely love it! Keep us posted on how it goes. The bedroom scene kind of reminds my of my room except i don't have Enkei wheels laying around i got omp steering wheels and TE37s laying around laugh.gif with magazines.
Guess i like it so much cause I'm kind of what you would call a garage tuner as well.
Should post it up in the automotive section probably get a greater response from other car enthusiasts.
Also i wish i lived near you as i would of loved to help to bad we are worlds apart oh well at least i get to watch the awesome outcome of this movie.

Thanks smile.gif I've taken your suggestion and PM'd a moderator to see if they can move it. I'm sure cross posting is a no no. Nice Lethal, I hope to get me a set of te's for my V someday...

Progress is moving along well and most of the scenes are at least half done now. Very excited to get this done. Thanks again for the interest.

Ok, so I finally sat down and watched this:

The concept is really cool, I like the production and result so far. Im interested in how your going to tie all of the characters together in the story, that is what it will come down too.

One major suggestion, keep it interesting. Nobody will want to watch a bunch of people cruising around in different cars, maybe Im an action guy...but it will broaden your audience.

Then again, what you showed was only a preview so who knows what I'll see in the final edit. Best of luck to you, I will be awaiting the final product!

10\10 choice of music. i like your idea about keeping it 90s smart smart smart. the car choice could use some change. (only evos and subies) but u did say ur gonna get a 240 so that's good. something i noticed and u probably did too was the camera had blue lines at certain scenes, just pointing it out. if this was a film id go check it out (especially if there one in English ). just curious, any action or racing scenes?

Hey thanks for commenting. Watching the vid in the state that it's in now, I can understand how some may think it has no plot or boring. But I can assure you it'll make much more sense once it's done lol. It's like watching Wangan preproduction with just the drama sequences done and the racing parts to be filmed later...would be pretty boring to me too. If you didn't catch it on credits, here is the main carlist:

STI ver6 coupe
Celica Alltrac
WRX Wagon ver6
Eclipse GSX
Evo 4
Evo 5
240z

Previewed carlist at the end for sneak peak:

Sti ver5 sedan
MK4 Supra
3000gt (pending)
R33GTR (pending)
S13 (pending)

I would say that's an eclectic group of cars smile.gif And to say I know every one of these people as good friends and am able to film them in an amature video makes me happy. No favoritisum to Evos and Subis, I just happen to own both thats all.

And to comment about you mentioning action, there will be. I wanted it to be a surprise ending, with the focus not really on it, but it'll "sort of" be there. If you've ever watched the TV series HEROES, this video is similar to it in that this is the character introduction...I guess I really don't need to explain any more lol. Thanks for watching and I hope to post up the final product soon.

I took one look at the downpipe in the second part and 2G AWD instantly popped into my head, lol. I have that same one hanging in my garage.

Good job overall, I enjoyed it.

I loved the vid, the only critique I guess would be the text, should've changed the color based on the environment or given it an outline, so that it would be easier to read.

Enjoyed every second of it.
That ending had me lolling. Lenny Kravitz ftw.
Nice credits, too.
I can't believe this is just a prologue, hopefully this goes on for a while.
(like idk maybe 100 acts hint hint)

Thanks all smile.gif I filmed it with no intention of making a real sequal, but maybe if it gets enough popularity. The most I intend to do now is just make a bluray with some side commentary and other fun little stuff similar to the credit roll.

I watched it, and I really love it. Would be awesome to see a sequel, have people talk about their vehicles, their intentions, that sort of stuff, could be onto something sweet here.

If you wanna fly me to Hawaii I can include you LOL.

Thanks for watching everyone. If anyone is interested in some apparel, you can also get a free copy of act 01 on PS3 Bluray or DVD. The details are in the link:

http://www.cafepress.com/mannydial

I begin filming Act 02 in a couple of weeks.

I'd like to be in it too, but you'd have to make room for hours of shots of me sitting in the garage getting drunk and smoking while I stare at the hole that is my engine bay. Then cut to me checking the tracking info on ebay for my parts that aren't here yet and getting pissed off.

So basically, pretty much anyone with a Z project ever. I love it!

Too bad I'm 6 hours south of Sacramento, but can't wait to see Act 2. Like I said over on IDW, great work!
