If I hide the entire signature with a spoiler (which obviously won't exceed the height limit), can I have the content inside the spoiler to exceed the 200px height limit?

As I've tested, you can go below the limit by enclosing stuff in a spoiler, but, you may exceed when you show it.

I dunno if it's allowed or not, let's leave it to the admin.

EDIT: Spoilers don't work, strangely the work in the signature preview, but not here D:

They don't work because technically you're still exceeding the limit of the signature. Even if it's in the spoiler, it'll still be loaded when a page loads and that's totally the point of having a limit, so it doesn't kill people's internet usage.

Thank you Geo Polo.

Yes, spoiler tag is disabled for signature on purpose so that people can't use it to hide large amount of content in their signature. It also makes enforcing signature rules easier for Moderators.
