SOPA/PIPA got "postponed". Not good enough. Hope they find a way to completely eradicate those bills.

From the Reactions of the Megaupload Shutdown:

"French president Nicolas Sarkozy said he was satisfied with the shutdown of the website. He found the site's operators were reaping "criminal profits from the illegal distribution of copyrighted works". "The time has come for increased judicial and police co-operation between states" in the fight against online piracy, he said in a statement."

As much as I hate SOPA and such. I gotta admit, MegaUpload was making some pretty stupid decisions and deserved to be taken down. I didn't use Megaupload much anyway, I prefer MediaFire a million times better.

OK. How about the rest of the people uploading:

-Office Files
-Important Videos for Business
-Important Documents for Home and Business
-Possible important irreplacable legit documents
-Important irreplacable business documents
-Possible irreplacable collections of family pictures and video memories to share with their relatives with.......
-All of the above are OFTEN LEGITS.
-People who paid BIG Membership fees on Megaupload (THE ONES WHO UPLOAD Legit files, and NOT ONLY LIMITED to uploaders of games, anime, movies........)

-And IT'S NOT JUST about downloading anime, games, movies. What about the above mentioned ones then.........? dry.gif

Well, we need to voice this:

PS: DON'T Reason Out for more free games, anime, movies, downloads on that part. Just go SHHHH! censored2.gif

The FBI is somewhere....... DUN DUN DUN! fear2.gif

Until this is (pray to God) finally reopened. And hope their company policies are still moderated and still open. innocent2.gif

-Yes, I also love MediaFire. w00t2.gif Download speed for non-members is good and solid, probably better than Rapidshare, and can download multiple parts anytime, even non-members.

My only suck part is that if I can find some good number PC games .iso files in MediaFire, esp. severely underrated classics. dry.gif

it's true a site like megaupload has legitimate uses, but majority of the traffic on that site was not.

Do you even know the reason why Megaupload got shut down? Research it.

One thing clear, that video wasn't clear to who would be sent to jail. Mentioning a Native American needing to pay $1.5m for downloading 24 songs was a bit vague.

iirc she needs to pay for the damages (downloading), and she is not liable for a jail sentence.

Damages for downloading? So does that mean everything we download is a damage? See I don't get it.
