> Who has the better Blackbird?, And so the obligatory comparisons begin

What do you think was a better choice of Porsche tuner to use, Gemballa or Ruf? Or did you like the 350Z better as the Blackbird?
Gemballa 3.8RS/Avalanche [ 1 ]  [6.67%]
Ruf CTR/RGT [ 14 ]  [93.33%]
Nissan Fairlady Z 350Z [Z33] Version S/Fairlady Z 370Z [Z34] Version ST [ 0 ]  [0.00%]

I want you to draw comparisons as you vote on this. It'd be nice to see something fresh going on in the Polls board, so I decided to do the inevitable battle of MT123DX+ VS MT4's representative Blackbird and also add the International representative. Also added in there is a high performance machine for each manufacturer. Nissan gets two Fairlady Zs because one is still fitting for the Blackbird's awesome power and the other has top performance not many others can match. Gemballa and RUF get their respective Porsche 911 and 997 representatives as that's what has always been available to them. Up until Nissan beat them both (even before one of them existed) with the Version ST, Gemballa and Ruf both have insane power to their machines at 300BHP stock as their limit.

So that's me done talking, now get to it!

My bet is on the CTR. I love the Gemballa on the Japanese version (Though only through videos and pics), but I feel the RUF seemed more fitting for the Blackbird. Just a feeling. <3

P.S: I loved the Z33 too to be honest. xD

I reckon you'd be right on the "more fitting" part because outside of Maximum Tune's Gemballas and overall the Porsche, Ruf CTRs are the representative Blackbird in the games (such as the Wangan Midnight PS3 game). Even Gran Turismo use Ruf over Gemballa (and Forza does too, though they only have one Ruf and that's the RGT-8 of all things)

I wonder, with MT4, if they restrict the use of Ruf internationally (not likely) will they change Tatsuya's beast into the Z34? Give him an upgrade worthy of the CTR's power (in terms of gameplay mechanics)?

Sure hope not. I am already quite done with Tatsuya driving a Z on international version (despite the fact that I do like it), Tatsuya's driving hands belong to the RUF or any Porsche related cars at least. I really hope they won't restrict the RUF on the International release.

I do enjoy the workaround the International version has with a newer Fairlady being the 'Blackbird'. However as far as respect goes- the CTR is still one of the most insane and dangerous cars you can have for a speed challenge like the Metropolitan Expressway.

Whenever anyone tells me "Shima drives a Porsche. He shouldn't he have as hard of a time maintaining control at high speeds." I show them this vid of the car Blackbird is based on:
