The magazine which leaked the original rumored shots of the concepts (which were confirmed when the auto shows rolled around) just leaked the official production model. While the base looks decent...the TRD list makes the car quite aggressive. Also Toyota(Scion) version will have 200hp, Subaru version a little bit more. But the car weighs 2600lbs...so..
What it sounds like..

Looks more elegant than the 1st concept.
And it reminds me with Mazda Roadster coupe and Maserati Gran Turismo

I don't like the white tachometer. Maybe it's to help with racing/eye fatigue but I still don't like it.

This is an embarrassment from Toyota and its attempt to do something "sporty" but falls short again.

I like the white tach. Reminds me of the LFS tach.

Step in the right direction toyo hasn't made anything really interesting in a while other than cars that're way out of reach.

I like it. Depending on how it looks in person and real world performance, I can see swapping my '78 for one :dunno:

Just returned from LA auto show. Mostly stuff you guys already know. The BRZ Subaru should be out in Spring of next year so not long to wait. Still no MSRP. Looks nice though. Both it and the Scion equivalent will be FR boxter powered cars that are really only separated by trim.

....Don't know how it's denying it or why you'd do that.. Everyone knows Scions are Toyotas here. It's not like the 86 doesn't fit in with Scion's lineup. That's like the Infiniti guys rebadging their cars as Skylines and Nissans.

Maybe it's just the fact that it has the word scion engraved into it, and Scion here has the rep of making...a little less..." fear2.gif " type cars...(not the main Toyota brand is any better as its d/c all the sports cars...but you get what I'm saying >_>)...

It's only 200HP but at least it's small, as small as an MX-5 in fact.

Yes, I know, the picture shown is the FT-86 Concept II but the real car should have at least the same dimensions.

Subaru just confirmed that they are going to be turbocharging the newly developed FA20 engine for their model. HP will be around 275

QUOTE (MotorTrend)
A spokesperson at Subaru of America just confirmed that the next generation Subaru WRX will receive a turbocharged 2.0-liter flat-four engine with a targeted output of 270 horsepower. This engine will be a turbocharged variant of the FA20 engine found in the recently-released 2013 Subaru BRZ we just drove in Japan.  Although half a liter smaller in displacement than the current WRX’s 2.5-liter 265-horsepower engine, it looks as though the all new FA20 will make slightly more power. The FA20 turbo is a return to the car’s roots, of sorts; when the WRX made its American debut in 2001, it had a 2.0-liter turbo flat-four under the hood.

Negative ghostrider. You can boost a huge amount with GDI systems even on high CR engines. Hell, the GM LNF engine could push ~30psi on a stock block/head setup without any real issues.

And while 12.5 might be high to push a great deal of boost, nothing says it has to stay that high wink2.gif
