True Runners: Phase S. - The Story of Rei Homura -
Conceptualized and Original Character by Azka Pretsya. Written- Co Written, and Main Story by Ken Nguyen. Art Designs by Ken Nguyen.
Foreword: A new step into the world of fiction, comes new realities and perspectives to be experienced. From the ground up... and into the future into what it is. Truly is. Whether similarities of either issue or situation, scenario or plot? Is part of the story intentionally so keep bear and hold all judgement until the series ends.
This is Rei's Story, he is neither a professional racer or anything of the sort. He's only just begun his journey into the dark depths of reality as he matures over time not without set-back from the cruel world as it is. And how he moves on his world. How he affected others and how he came to be as he is... is something to be read and understood.
- Also if you don't mind the first few parts will reminiscense a lot like Wangan Midnight storyline - - Some allusions to my previous works and amongst other things -
More characters will come, and the plot is already been decided, I'm starting a slow start rather than a big leap. This is a slow tuner's story. Not an instant 700HP battle god story. Will take place with ROAD series, and the most current arc and era. Expect Kaiser and the Roads and the Syndicates to hunt Rei. Expect it. No one, no single name is free from the clutches of those who want to be crowned best and be without freedom of will from the sheer chains of wanting to be the best without being hunted. Rei is a victim of this story. Everyone is against him, but he will surely make out stronger. And his observations through all of road will make him the only character that isn't going to be corrupted like all the other heroes in road (unlike Hazama as well) have either.
[Character Spoilers] Rei Homura:
SPOILER
Season 1:A young self taught skilled racer at 17, he only survived by luck at all his battles, until later on. He's somewhat prideful and sees himself as unbeatable which he is. Until reality hits him with better racers and he sees himself growing up, not without faults and depression. He becomes a mildly depressed person and stark dark with silence and rage. But he becomes stronger later on. And becomes 'awakened' and strives to race and tune his car for the better.. then for the worse. Only with time, and experience he will change. And he will not grow without falling deep into a dark depression. Drives a stock 280 horsepower R32. On the Touge and recently on the highways.
Currently Obsessed with speed and to find meaning through his escape of life.
The story is more of a indepth psychological experience through his mind, and his percetpion, apart from reality. As well as a neutral and unfair truth of reality's true point of view. His character and portrayal is an experienced not to be ignored. He's like a tragic/depressed version of Akio Asakura. But becomes more later on.
Shin Ryuga;
SPOILER
Another aspiring racer, who encounters and becomes a life-rival to Rei. He is known to be a bad person but later they get to know each other indirectly and decide to be rivals and accept and respect despite each other's differences. Their role reverses in season 2-3 and later they join forces. Drives a Yellow Supra, Known as the Golden Chaser Scorpion. Also he's the blackbird of the story.
~~Let's Begin Life.~~
True Runner: Phase S.
Prologue 0 He only sought to find the meaning of his existence, more so confused as a search for a life goal. He knew but denied the cruel facts, the reality that was false: His imaginary realm. He basked in such luxury... but the price was and will soon...turn into a cost as well as a nightmare one day... and he will awaken from the slumber he denied the world to him. And become. A true runner.

#Is All Alone#
"I do not want to feel this empty feeling anymore... I'm sick and had enough of this feeling... I must race...!!!" said the teenager.
He remebered back of his head was a deep memory played back perfectly like a tape reel from a cinema screen... -------------------------------- “Rei, Rei Homura.” Said he, the boy, the young man. “17 and almost time to leave school... but Mr. Homura, you've failed all your subjects, why are you always late to class to even next to not coming to class?” asked the Head Teacher. “I... have problems” he nodded and looked down. “I know, kid, we all have problems” patted and smiled the teacher. As he continued. “You have to repeat and do try your best, it's your last chance because once you're 18, you're out of high school, and into far worse or better technical colleges depending on your subjects and overall grade... and this... is important for your future...”
“I know but- I don't feel smart or good enough, When I try I fail, I'm expected to do when but when I do, I keep failing”
“Then keep on doing and trying, loss yearns experiences, and you will get experience from it and learn from them.
“If you say so, teacher” “Rei, you used to be a happy outgoing kid years ago, now you're all alone and not going the right path...”
“At least I haven't done, drugs, teacher” “I know, but... try find a group”
“Group, huh? They haven't found me, or at least, dont' want me... But I found my own group already... and its certainly not in this school.” as he walked out of the office.
“Where are you going?” “To find my dreams” “And that is?” “To be happy”
He shuts the door.

SPOILER
Engines Revving Hard, Sounds of Car Screeching Roars and Metal Sparks. Scenes seen, objects appearing, on a dark lit afternoon orange sky-day. It's the dawn of someone's rising. The oppurtunity presents itself with just some visual cues and hints. That is...
At high speed at 220km/ph, skidding sideways at an angle... A grey Skyline R32 was ahead, in front and blocking, a unique type of “ramming” was done all the way from the entry to the exit to the tunnel. At C1.
Speed dropped in total from 220km/ph to 180km/ph in just 6-8 seconds. From the block which was done as a half-forced ram-shove. Effectively seen as he was parking the enemy and being pushed, But the park wasn't a zero-stop base. It was more of a “you can't pass me, you're pushing for me, and I'm going to win anyways” type of message done just by the car and the whole situation presented itself. The reality is: “I'm defending myself, and I'm going to win, I'm blocking you, and I don't care if it looks bad, I .. HAVE TO!” He wasn't offensive enough for the average rammer, but it was enough to keep them running and pushing, rather than “zero-stop” them completely.
Then distance by half a meter, behind the Skyline R32, the car that was being blocked was a Yellow-Vinyl Stickered Scorpion in a Golden Supra JZA80.
The R32 straighted his line and stays from the mid lane instead of either out or in, left or right wall hugging. And from that.... he realized out of the reaction will cause the mistake... an oppurtunity for the Golden “Scorpion” Supra.
A hard right turn, nothing too hard for the people who ran the roads far at another story... but for now. This is his story. This is Rei's. The R32 Skyline's Story and a legend will begin overtime, but this one story. Will be one to change?
At 180, dropping to 120 in just 2 seconds, he turns right hard with sheer force and turns the wheel and turns back just the same speed. The effort and angle was too much and too hard. But the R32 listened to its master's call and nimbly, yet so balanced-and quickly and somewhat rigidly. Snap Turned at mid-speed In. And He revved hard and stomped on the pedal and exited fast, acceleration out and straightened.
Remebering one more important fact, it was a short and small 1-2 second straight before the the sharp left as well.
But as he realized too late. The Supra dived and passed him. It was too late. He was easily beaten, passed and felt as he was mocked and punished.
The name of the Supra as it was called as the “Golden Scorpion” By some, known for its supremacy and extreme power, he was even better when pressured and from behind, hence like a scorpion. Been dived. Been Pushed out of way. Swayed out of position. Slowing down by fear. Out of fear. From fear. And unexpectation. He was passed and beaten at the most unusual spot he ran times before.
He knew it was over. He only had about stock level R32 with minor tuning, and he knew he lacked suspensions, but had good brakes pads and exchangers. He had at least 300 Horsepower he remembered by heart.
But sadly... he knew his opponent was far too great. And won by a lucky dive. And had more power and suspension than his....
Rei wasn't happy. And he revved harder. Chasing. Chasing.
But the Scorpion fled to somewhere else unseen and branched off. There was 2-4 branches, and he can't just pick one and find him. He just got angry and drove away.
“If only I had the same power, or even more, I want power so I can beat him, by skill alone I'm better, but I'm limited.... god..damn ….. it” Said he. Rei Homura.
“I was punished for going offensive as a defense, but my defense was the offensive. It only lacked one thing. Not precision as I already had, but Power.” “Power.”
He remembered to himself, we was never pushed this far and never rammed as much or even that way he did like before. It was all instinct but felt punished for such actions... but he knew.. it was going to continue like this if he challenged all higher powered cars... and it would never be good until he made himself more powerful, so he can choose. To Ram or To Defeat without such or if at lessened amounts of car-violence...
It reminded him, He reminded himself never to be angry again... If only life was that easy... and fair.
08/03/2013 – Finding the reasons to survive.
SPOILER
“After all, I'm finding my happiness by running these roads of all kinds...” “But I feel as If I've lost a purpose, a reason, a meaning... anything...”
“I'm just another runner of these roads.... but I want to be something” To prove myself my worth and experiences to others...
But that one person I've encountered.. that was the 2nd time I've met that Golden Supra.
He opens his garage, and looks to the sky, covering his eyes with its blinding light. He heads out. Revving the engine of his Grey base to light grey underside colored R32 Skyline.
“Alright, it's time to go” He feared nothing, but held it, that certain fear and he knew what it was … Each time he went out... he always wondered.
“Will I come back?”
But he was already running the roads subconciously, and remembered where he is now... “Fukuoka Prefecture”
Rei felt confident in tackling in bright risky brisky daylight. And he stepped on. And without a care, without even a worry that he was auto-pilot deep in though all the way his body mechcnically went to Fukuoka all of a sudden. He accepted this strange reality.
This is a sign of being auto-pilot is none other than a mental illnesss effect. He knew it but ignored it. He's going forward to be the fastest as he can, and feel better. He's going to. He's... aiming for that speed. The Thrill of Speed. The life-or-death gamble.
And he ran with it. Along with the sloppy, slidy and slippery curvacious roads.
Revisiting the 7th day... Somewhere else, word of mouth spread of many new racers on the fly. Many kept to themselves nad some open word of rumours. Many much about the Scorpions recent dominations and outruns. And more on those who've seen... 'that skyline'. Which one? There are many.
But the one they truly meant was Rei. One with low horsepower close to stock. And one with enough bravery without the fear of death, the ones that chased the Scorpion the 2nd time and lived to survive and only sparingly, almost defeated him.
But who was he, Who is he? And how could he?
Car's stock at 280 horsepower, more than enough for a standard sports in stock form. But Rei had something under it. Something on it that was faster.
“Boost gauge and ECU, and paid good money he saved up to give it more output and power.... up to a good 360Horsepower, he could've saved more for brake pads and disks for the brakes, but he realized he needed more power to defeat the scorpion, evne if it means less stability, and he knew it and chose that decision until he had more money”
He had aims to go to Fukuoka and dropping the touge for now. He knew the risks. Fear made him the better man, but his choices were either one sided or another to another. It was indecivise but made. A better move was just wait to get both brake pads and the boost.
But he had no time, he needed power and speed, he needed more skills. Every night and day, at certain times, the Scorpion is there.
He has to. No choice if he wants to be the best.
The illusionary trap began. Those who run will chase to no end. There is no winner here....
(Also everyone, seriously, this is a deep mind perception and probrably shinji ikari mental type of evangelion story too lol)
