Hopefully I won't be expecting large crowds at Prize Station Bugis+ when the 50 cents a game promo drops.

Bugis being 30fps... respectfully no thanks.

The quality of the graphics don't matter to me when playing.

Well. Took afternoon leave from work today, Prize Station Bugis+ was abound with activity around 5pm onwards.

Thankfully I managed to do what I wanted to do with my new NA1.

Virtualand is now at Bugis+! Although they use a totally different card from the other outlets.....

It's right next to TOG's new flagship store on level 5.

Different card? Not the same Star TKA? Well at least a big city arcade is back at a better venue (gotta miss the closeness it had to the MRT station).

With the closure of Star Factory at Century Square Tampines due to the mall's renovation, players in the East are sure going to have to travel quite a bit......

Speaking of PS, now which idiot made the wheel on the first machine give that irritating 2-surface feeling complete with clicking noise in addition to wrecking the alignment a good 5-25 or something degrees... and introducing slight sway on the accelerator at that rant.gif

(someone with cabinet repair experience can probably explain the construction parts better)

edit: OMG THE PEWPEW BROTHER need anti-rust mountain tutorial please LOL

They never learn, do they?

Maybe TZ outlets should implement what TKA outlets do.....

that means they going to rekt the steering wheel assembly.... it should only steer at most at somewhere 90 to 120 degrees on each side considering if the steering wheel is at perfectly balanced at 0 degrees

and yeah consistent hard banging the steering wheel does move the wheel at a weird angle if the nut in the middle of the steering wheel is about to be loose

meanwhile the accelerator pedal is off meaning slanting off?? the brutal part if the response of accelrator doesn't go like before thus you feel a bit slow

those crazy <Bleep!>ers have the broken one when at the battle to feel how cool is smashing steering wheel and lose gracefully then whine like a kid lost its candy afterwards.... fear2.gif

or the most brutal answer.... get them banned at the arcade unless if they can pay the repair cost... the staff knows who does that crap =/

Regarding the accelerator, i think i made a post regarding its performance a few months in both vs and normal play (which forced me to be on constant 1.5 turbo, which got me a hard time pulling away in vs and almost made me lose on my carbon tacho loop), so even if you stomp on it it'll only take you up around 310 km/h, however the steering was still in good condition at that time.

Honestly it don't matter what outlet belonging to which arcade chain. Kickban? Attendants are "Damned if you do, damned if you don't".

Local scene has looooong degraded to the point where the toxic groups are the ones that brings in steady $ in an era of mobiles (whole different topic) and I'm far too lazy to elaborate on the factors. Adding to that, the core game design of boost ramming doesn't help things (and that's not an easy topic to suggest alternatives either, heck even FH3 sees rammers and I have been forced to counter myself; I don't even want to try talking about game design).

The worst I encountered recently was a kaput accelerator sensor (total and sudden gas-off) and the opponent only told me about it after I'd lost twice and won one in a crazy-lucky bus stop gambit, but there have been far worse things in the past I did not personally witness (wheels popping out, seat flying out). I reckon almost none bother to realise how pricey the cabinets are, ignorning whatever leasing scheme NB's got no matter back then or now...

Probably some profit on the repair parts business while the arcade is forced to allocate expenses for... but whatever man my feelings are neutral when an arcade closes down

This is definitely one behaviour that I cannot tolerate for the life of me.

I did have an encounter of a messed up accelerator on a cab back during the 3DX days. Thankfully I stopped when I found out that the boost gauge wasn't up all the way.

I've never had an experience when the steering and accelerator were messed up at the same time.

Prize Stage Suntec City has moved up to the third floor, where Alive Museum used to be!

However, it still has 4 cabs.

Went to Game Start 2017, the highlight was the GT Sport Beta on a wheel!

Also had the chance to play Project CARS 2 on a wheel. Love it!
