hey guys, I recently downloaded a raw copy of Wangan Midnight... can't understand anything... except for RB26 and F1.... and pages showing twin turbos... I've read here that Akio replaced his L31TT for an RB26DET (yes single turbo; F1)?

but in the manga..

Chapter 30 p. 70 and p. 111

it's clearly an L28.... and got confused by how I read here that it was a single turbo F1 RB26 while Kitami and the other tuner are clearly holding 2 F1 turbos.... and Kitami's clearly seen still working on the L28

seems to me to be the same L31TT except the TT's were replaced with F1 TTs than the standard T3/T4 pair attached to it....

clarification please...?

If my memory serves me right,the Devil Z's turbo was replaced with the *Legendary F1 Turbo*...Its still an L31TT...The single turbo F1 was fitted on the RGO R33....

i could be wrong though....

oh, thought the single turbo was put on the Z32.. Reina's friend. But yeah, it seems more like an L31TT with 2 F1 turbos rather than what's written on the website.. RB26DET with an F1 turbo

ohhh, it was really based IRL, wherein Yoshida Special's 930 (Blackbird) used Ayrton Senna's F1 turbos.... in chapter 28 it shows a V6 twin turbo 1.5L f1 engine.. except in the manga, it was Devil Z who used the F1 turbos... lol

I do believe the RB swap happened AFTER the Legendary F1 turbo arc... if there was an RB swap but the L28 is the significant asset of the S30/Devil Z. But I checked the Japanese wiki and there was no mention of an Eg swap. the 800hp boost came form the F1 turbine boosting the Psi overall HP from 600 to 800. (770 to be exact)

Shima first used the F1 Turbine but he admits it was too much for him to handle. Then he had it installed with Akio to check compatibility which made it compatible with the latter than the 911 could.

yeah, found my answers somehow too... Devil Z kept the L28, just unsure about the specs, but it says on your source that it did downgrade..

seen it Chapter 32 and Chapter 41; still an L28 triple carb twin turbo

without fine tuning the ECU, the 600 and 800 estimates are the true HP values of the Devil Z. To maintain its balance, Tominaga can tweak it down to Akio's preferences hence 550 and 770 respectively
