Personally in my opinion, I don't see branching off as noobish or disrespect. I see branch-offs as part of the game. I don't get mad when people suddenly branch off accidental or intentional, I don't care. It may look annoying and irritating that they took but even they do that, I accept it. Even if I lose because they branched off to Yokohane or even Wangan, I accept it as a legit defeat.

There is only one spot in the game where branching to NBL will let you keep your lead easy, and even then keeping at C1 is one of the easier corners to defend in.

I don't know the route names but it's the last hard turn of CP4 C1 Inward TA and CP1 hard turn of NBL CW TA. The one that requires wall taps to exit without that much speed loss.

Yes it is part of the game, yes the developers wouldn't put it there if it's not meant to be followed but it has become a norm in the community. I'm with you, I don't really care if he/she (gen eq) branched it out since he was ahead of me but do I need to complain about it every time and rage when it happens? No. It's the same issue of the Wangan CROWN (EMPHASIS ON CROWN BECAUSE I'M NOT REFERRING TO THE BATTLES HERE) it's supposed to be straight, at least for me, but people pick routes that bring it to C1 but hey it happens. Branching C1 and branching Wangan CROWN GHOSTS are of the same issue, they remove the essence of the track. At least that's how I see it. In battles I always branch wangan to Yoko-C1 since 830 C1 IS HEAVEN FOR ME HAHAHAHAHA.

guys pls, oh well at least ghost revenges still give stamps and 1500g regardless of track used, so DAR99 can vs me any track except hakone and i can just refarm on hakone and both of us get easy 1500g anyways.

good win win situation for both sides.

See the thing is, I know you like wangan alot, but most players f**king hate it.

To me, you've ruined a potentially fun game by turning the race into a braindead straight line run where the leader can block here and there with impunity.

I know most people hate Wangan. But I never saw a person hate Wangan like you do. And, a question, did someone did that to you? Did you get so mad that you want to verbally hurt him?

If someone does branch off to Wangan, don't get mad at them. Instead, deal with it.
This is just my advice to you as a fellow MT player so just chill.

And honestly, even in Wangan, anything can happen in VS Battles.

meanwhile idm w/ your ghost because you can always farm on any map except hakone and i can just refarm off you in hakone and both of us get easy 1500g win-win

only branching off is ok in tournament, for casuals stick with the course layout - yaesu is fine in c1 in my standards, tho i try not to.

They really gotta change it to Tokyo Midnight, Maximum Tune.

I also lost respect for akio on the anime, he branched off to yoko/nbl. on the last very episode

Thanks for the warning tho. I would NEVER say that publicly.

I'll try to answer to what you said.

Anyways, pls read my post again. I said it's my personal opinion about that. I know you have a different opinion about it.

And in my personal OPINION, branching off is part of the game. Not disrespect or desperation.

For me, it's so pointless to be angry when someone branches off. I mean, it's just a game. No need to take it seriously. Then again, it's just my opinion.

And gotta remind you that C1 is also part of the Wangan.

Every osaka fag likes to play 20km of that small right turn loop and finish off at left straight with less than 2km left
Isnt that c1 branching to wangan at near finish?

Some kid did that to me and next game, c1. I set my car at 830 vs his 720 and went yoko because coincidentally starting point is at outward ta start point
Of course i was 3v1ed because it was deemed as a cheapshot laugh.gif

C1 is not part of Wangan... they are two separate routes in the Shuto Expressway

regardless if you love the Wangan or not, there's a reason why majority of the playerbase dislike that map. We hope for your sake you understand why

I already know why. It's straight.

And I know you all here hate Wangan so I'm not gonna meddle with it.

And even if I master C1 and Hakone and everything, I will still love Wangan.

That's what I thought when I started getting off the Wangan and Osaka bug in 3DX era and decided to git gud and learn from everyone OG from back then here. That's when I started loving the challenge and take it as a positive reinforment for motivation, that's how C1 and Hakone are fun maps. It's the mindset and the varied options you can do, not the same patterns of lines over and over.

Don't you get bored of Wangan TA for the rest of your life or ghost runs?
This is why challenge is fun, not a grind snore fest over something simple.

Granted anything can be technical and advance with varied/myriad options and lining but you'll have a better understanding and to grow if you do other maps you don't do (like me with Kobe, and the new maps since MT5/DX)

I still dislike Taikan but I never had the energy and time but not hte money on the game.
I can't play past 3-9 games max per visit even on one sit thru compared back to my younger days.

I admit. I need to evolve. So since Dec 27, I started training myself by doing Hakone and C1 TA. But honestly, even if I master these courses, my love for Wangan Line will never ever fade away.

I touch Kobe and the Subcenters too.

And no, I don't get bored of Wangan because Wangan's very fun and relaxing (for myself). You don't have to worry of the corners except for traffic. I don't play Wangan TA but ghost battles I do. Wangan Line is my personal favorite course so I can't complete my MT session without touching Wangan Line. I just love Wangan Line so much. That's all.

I admit I thought of not letting a session go with atleast a run on the Wangan line in ghost battle or even a crown one depending on who has the crown depending if the ghost battle track exits on Yokohama or Yokohane area which is a bad variant of the Wangan start. While I was thinking about practicing with less horsepower on maps like Kobe with the help of the youtube videos regarding which lane I should be when a sharp curve ahead.

I remember the Wangan line gets visited often on the story mode but still a better ghost battle version of Wangan without the stupid Yokohane and Yokohama exits would be great.

If you want a Wangan run that goes full straight, try looking for Airport Central going westbound and make sure it goes straight and not to the left on the last 2.0 km. Another one is Daikoku Futo. Just make sure it goes right to Wangan.

it depends upon the situation... most players agree on the choices of not branching out on too straight especially on earlier part of the race...

And if I know that certain player loves to branch out on his advantage especially on the earlier to end route, I'll give em a dose of his own medicine (yep... next battle if he ever won I'll just do that to them back) =P

thank goodness most of my opponents (minus the GUEST N rank) in VS knew about not to branch out especially on the early part of the race =/
