QUOTE (nel3 @ Oct 27 2018, 03:21 PM)
i cant see where i can register my card on the english site. its a USA site and i live in Canada. its giving me a region lockout error. even going to the JPN language site gives me the same error. is it even possible for me to register my banana pass on the MT site???

im not the best player but i have enough skill to be able to complete the first 60 stages in story mode without any issues, though that may not seem important but i wasnt able to do it with the SVX when i started MT5, i was able to get the R33 unshaded and all subsequent cars folwing that. im average/above average in skill and can give the skilled players a decent race most of the time if i dont mess up too much.

im finding it a bit hard to play VS other skilled players because sometimes i slam into the wall on certain turns under unfamiliar HP settings. the problem is when im playing against other skilled players and my mistakes slam them into the wall really hard to the point they sometimes need to drop to 1-2nd gear to get the speed back. when it happens that i make contact with other players during the turn and cause them to hit the wall a bit hard i tend to let off the gas on purpose a bit because my lack of skill forced them into a crash. i let them catch up and try to pass them again. i dont intentionally ram them into the corners as i do try to maintain minimal body contact so we both have reasonable exit speeds and clear the turn cleanly enough. i dont want to race dirty/aggressive and be called out for it, id rather race cleanly as possible and avoid those hard impacts when possible. what is the general limits when VS players have a big collision during the turns before they'd consider it dirty racing?

i also now have a pink batle aura but no animal aura just yet. i dont mind having the pink or red aura on my R33. currently im at Y2/X7 (on a xy scale of 10) with the r33. it looks like i'll maintain the pink aura but i want to know what wouild get the wild/rough red aura. im likely to remain on the wild side and wander from smooth to rough with my current driving style.

Dayum USA territories cannot be registered from the Bana-pass site

Or better yet try register your card thru BandaI Namco ID site first then bana-pass site
Bandai Namco ID site

If this fails... then most likely USA players need to address this issue

im not sure if American players have issues using that english site but im one of those crazy canucks. i dont know if Bandai namco has a .CA site for the canucks but a Canadian location/ip doesnt work on the USA/Eng site for me... i got a namco id without any issue but there are no services available to register a banana pass on my side. the usual area on the JPN site has a card register option and the ENG site doesnt have that option in the script... atleast not for me.

if all else fails, i got 3 600HP (among other 600hp side cars) cars on my 2nd card: R33, FD, SVX that i could have atleast some decent starting point should the worst happen.

Im new to this vs other region ghosts event, since i just got above 20 trophies after the last one ended.

Im wondering how many stages are there in total in order to get the racing meter

Or if there is any other details that's not written in the official wmmt website

it depends on how lucky on your pick.... so I can't vouch how many stages or rather credits needed

the brutally painful part is the Challenge Stages especially CS#2 that it takes 3 pages or rather took me at least 40+ credits to be sure enough to finish CS#2 on CS#3 probably 4 Pages

stages 1-3 are a breeze at least 20-30 credits (if the CPU trolls you nastily to 2 turns)

lastly total cars you need without getting wanted to reach the Tachometer by finishing Challenge Stage 2 is at least 50-60 cars

and yes coming from a guy who does this for lelz... and luckily cheap gamespot too

Appreciate the answer.

On the other hand, i wonder how hard the wanted ghosts are and if it's a good idea for me to try to defeat them, so far im just going against the normal ghosts and they're quite easy for me

Beating a wanted ghost?
Actually you have to be pretty good to destroy them... at times you have to troll block or rear block those all the time if they boost nastily, on my usual playspot I usually get all the Wanted cars in all of my play sessions

However comparing it to last event on VS china... VS Japan seems more forgiving and bit easier

ive been playing MT series for a fair bit of time but there's one thing that has always puzzled me about the players. i know Namco (and beleive/trust that) officially announced that the aerosets are just aesthetics and dont handle any different when compared to other aerosets. IRL racing id say they'd have different effects but in the game its just a visual change/appearance.

why do so many players swear that one aero set is better at X and another is better at Y and aero set Z isnt very good?? when players tell me that set A is better at X than set B, i tell them theres no difference at all and they usually insist there is some minor difference. at that point i just give up and tell them i chose that aeroset for its appearance and let them figure out the rest. is it some sort of placebo effect these players are experiencing that give them this belief?

aero set only plays a part in size, in other words if u have wider set up then u would physiologically might have an effect on u

I choose aero c on my celsior as its the widest kit out there for me (I don't have any thing else after c) and my main purpose is not to squeeze thoughI traffic or any thing like that, I'm going to come at you hard and try to take up as much space as possible

thank you for the reply, i do know the body size does matter with the kits but i guess the body kit size is likely tied to the illusion it makes the car do better in some areas.

you mean that huge notice that body kits dont matter? yeah i think its plenty big for anyone to see and thats where i learned long ago that they dont matter in making a car faster. too bad other local arcade players dont see his signature...

i never really was into the Nissan Skyline series too much, the FF Paul Walker skyline aside but only in MT5 did i really get into the R33 and now i have one more Skyline in my possession ie the red R33 from the Hot Wheels diecast line, i still will look for the midnight purple version. im also gonna head down to a hobby shop to find a 1:24 plastic model of a R33 to build. that is after i build my 3 remaining MS 1:144 kits.

ive been doing a fair amount of Fukuoka TA runs and have been stuck at the mid 2'31s for the past while. im getting closer to breaking into the 2'30s but havent managed that yet but its gonna happen 1 day. im not looking for a car model record but anything from 2'29 to low 2'30 is more than satisfactory for me to reach. i know the R33 isnt the best car for TA but thats not the question.

one of the better TA players really hugs the wall close as possible in fukouka and another player with a 2'29 range doesnt hug the wall as close as the other player. is it better to stick to the more when possible? an example 14.6km in, i have a line where i stick close to the wall as much and have a bit more tire squealing (and trying 1.5 boost) or stay between the exterior left side line on the inner lane at 14.8->14.7km then hug the apex at 14.6 with some light gas pedal release to get a lower boost psi. is sticking close to the wall with 1.5 boost better than a slightly wider entry line?

im already improving in some areas to reduce tire squealing but i still need a better handle on 1.5 boost and tire squeal.
