Did anyone ever get together a wmmt5 or 5dx title thread?
I know some of the older titles still are unlockable the same way from 3dx+ and such but for things like story mode is different, like finishing final stage of story (60) is The one and only.

I already check the daily thread from time to time.

A question:

Is it sometimes necessary to slam the wheel to block your opponent?

It's not necessary. Some who do slam the wheel might think it might make them turn faster, but it doesn't.

for me slamming helps but i don't do it hard. i've been doing it for about a few years and i haven't broken a wheel

u usually turn/slam away from the opponent to straighten the car, you wouldn't slam the wheel towards the guy because there's no need and you could be unnecessarily damaging the wheel.

a gfycat if it helps:
SPOILER

Edit: also no need to slam when you're burn blocking

Some people do (even I went wheel slamming at one point) but if you're so uptight about taking care of the machines then it's possible not to rely on slamming for brake blocking.

So my arcade finally got WMMT 5 (US Version) so I just had a couple questions.

1. Would it be better to just do Japan Challenge opposed to regular online ghost battles to level up dress-up to kill two birds with one stone?
2. It looks like the biggest downside is that some of the JC ghosts are ridiculous. Would it be easier to use a 600HP car and grind it first before completing story or are there still some cheap ghosts in that level?
3. I saw a question earlier involving the "Legendary [car]" and "My [car]" titles here. Are these in WMMT5? Also wondering if someone could confirm which one was for the end of march-beginning of April. There was conflicting answers in this thread.

Thanks.

1. Crown ghosting is fastest for full dress up followed by jap challenge and then regular ghosting
Some stuff like license neon plates and jap challenge exclusive stickers can only be obtain via jap challenge

2. Goes both ways, can be ridiculously fast or slow. It depends whether can you spot that kind of ridiculously slow ghosts.
Personally i just vs the highest rank ghost listed

So low level JC has cheap opponents as well? That's annoying. Thanks for the info.

that's quite true about some JC ghosts... however you can spot the default ones, in INT version of WMMT5's JC ghosts that you need to find B1 ranked ghosts that has minimal Dress Ups up to Carbon hood and preferably no stickers with somewhere 720-740hp setup on all tracks

just be wary usually on the 830hp cars especially Yaesu, Nagoya and probably Osaka...

Especially on C1 Inward starting at Shiodome or C1 Outward starting at Kandabashi. Some of the ghosts branch out to NBL.

The ghosts only match to the current ghost level in 5DX, not in MT5.

Something I do is before you reach the Super Hard level by default, always challenge it. Defaults are the last ghost within that list of "Super Hard" level. Seems to be faster, at least in my case.

Thanks for advice sir! I take care of the machine tho. So all I have to do is just steer a bit hard without slamming.

Seeing as there is a stickied thread on daily titles for MT5, how about a stickied information thread on all current known titles, dress-ups, etc.? Or am I just horrible at using Search properly?

Is there any specific way to get cool, smooth, rough, and wild playstyle aura? I always end up with cool when i'm trying for smooth.

There was a thread that showed all the obtainable titles for the MT3 era, but it's been taken down as it's pretty much out-of-date.

Check the trailing pages of this section of the forum if you want to find it.

As far as i know the color of your depends on your way of driving on VS battles... if im not mistaken if you wanted to get a cool aura, you need less collision on walls and more collision with traffic im not sure lol

Thanks for the info, though!

Ive got one thing that needs clarification specifically from those who employs braking mainly as their playstyle,

lets say 2 clowns 2v1 you, one runs and one drags you, the purpose of one guy running in front is so that the boost between player 2 and 3 will be significantly weaken due to the boost system and this allows the Mr.Dragger to easily block and jam you as compared to totally 1v1 senario where there is no 3rd player, am i right?

Ive always notice that its easy to get past brake blockers in 1v1 but where 2v1 runner and dragger is concerned i have to really work something out which is stragegize on where to get pass, plan my whole route to that point and then set up my running path
